Utility in EducationEducation is at the core of UPM, where our goal is
to seek, learn, and teach knowledge and truth. UPM is an ongoing collaboration with the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, namely the
ESHCC.
There are three parts to this:
1) Spreading awareness and driving adoption of digital currency among university students and academics alike,
2) Collaboration with students to acquire more academic papers under UPM's education arm, including but not limited to papers about marketing, branding, social media, data analytics, new media, and cryptocurrency ecosystems and economics; to better understand the world we live in from various perspectives and social constructs,
3) Collaboration with professors to conduct case studies about the UPM project, or embed small-scale UPM-related projects into the course curriculum of master/bachelor programs.
Academic Value ExchangeWe are currently testing a simple service that will allow university students to submit academic papers written by themselves during the course of their study, and receive value for their work done, in the form of UPM and BTC. These completed and relevant academic papers written during their academic life, which would otherwise be left wasted and rotting in their dropbox accounts, can be submitted to our Academic Value Exchange (AVE) service where students can earn free magic internet money!
All academic papers collected via our AVE service will be added to our expanding library of knowledge and truth, where they can be put to good use for future sub-projects spawning from the Utopia Project. All academic papers will be housed in this following repository:

This service will eventually be a worldwide-accessible one. However, I am currently using this small focus group as a testbed to fix up all the kinks before releasing it to a larger audience. We are in the process of testing a price-per-page pricing model, where students get a sum of about 0.002 BTC or UPM equivalent (equal to 1€) per page. Our target market will be the average university student either completing his bachelor degree, or is pursuing/completing his master degree, especially those who are non-adopters of digital currencies. Hence, we are in the process of tweaking the AVE service to be more mainstream-friendly, by improving ease-of-use and ease-of-access to decrease barriers to entry. We are also working on a basic ‘introduction to Bitcoin’ eBook and guide for these crypto noobs to educate them on the basics of bitcoin and other digital currencies, and teach them how to sell their crypto into useless fiat money if they so choose to.
