sed, for the love of god, stop complaining about bits. It has been used for a while now, MoneyPot didn't invent it (a quick Google search reveals that it has been used on 27 nov. 2013, which is way before MP) and if you can't handle a new unit, which isn't even hard to gasp, then just don't play. People have been answering your questions about bits every goddamn time in the most comprehensive form possible. If you don't want to play on MoneyPot because of that, well, go play somewhere else.

And yes, I don't like bits either, but I don't like any denomination outside BTC.

  My main point is why the fuck, in a world full of dime-a-dozen altcoins, would moneypot invent a new name for a fraction of BTC.  It just screws with your head and makes you think you're using play money or something like that.

We all understand your point.  You've made it very clear.  However, you seem to be overlooking the fact that they didn't invent bits at all.  The term bits has been around for well over a year and is just one way for people to express fractions of bitcoins, just like mB and satoshis.  It really doesn't seem like that big of a deal, especially since all of these terms are on a base10 system so it's extremely easy to convert between them (as myself and others have explained to you how to do).

So there's the kind of weirdness I'm talking about.  This guy says multiply BTC x100 and that will be your amount in satoshis!  WTF!

I don't get what you aren't understanding, what that person said is also true.

1000 bits = 1mB

1mB = 100,000 satoshis

therefore

1000bits = 100,000 satoshis

So if you want to convert your bits to mB, just divide by 1000.  If you want to convert your bits to satoshis, just multiply by 100.  This is all pretty basic stuff, people are just giving you multiple ways to convert your balance quickly/easily since bits seem counter intuitive to you.

What you said is true.  Moneypot has defined a unit "bits" which is equal to 100 satoshis.  I've finally learned this although I can't imagine why this is helpful to anyone.  So, if you want to convert his new unit into satoshis, you multiply x100.  However, what that guy said was multiply BTC x100.  That would give you cBTC not "bits".  My main point is why the fuck, in a world full of dime-a-dozen altcoins, would moneypot invent a new name for a fraction of BTC.  It just screws with your head and makes you think you're using play money or something like that.

for the sake of this thread, stop spamming your signature, as you tried it very hard to make a post more than 75 characters, and stop complaining

bits is reall common nowadays, to be easy for people

if you wish to know your balance in btc, just simply multiply it by 100 and that will be your amount in satoshis,

if you got your amount in satoshis, you can basically convert it to btc, simple

There's nothing more annoying that someone who bumps a thread just in order to complain that someone else is bumping the thread.  If you don't want the thread bumped, then don't reply, shulio!

Second, that guy you tell me to read better, he thinks that Satoshis = 100xBTC which is super crazy and simply emphasizes my point that inventing new units is weird and embarrasing and confuses people.

If you weave this sed guy's posts together it becomes one long, sad, autistic crusade.

Sounds good, dan, thanks for the reply and the commentary on neurotypcialness and what it means to you.  I think everyone appreciates your assessment.

Sed, you are terrible at math if you can't do base 10 multiplication. Like really, there is even a chat bot to assist you if you are incapable of doing the mental calculation. Moneypot works really well with bits because of how the multipliers work, and it isnt going to change any time soon. So please, your posts about "bits suck omfg" are nearing 25 posts! That is the only contribution you've attempted to make to this conversation, and it is starting to get really annoying. Also, the account "sed" has only lost 2 bits, which is faucet money. Granted this might not be you, but i wouldnt be surprised if it was. So please, if you don't have anything else to say, stop spamming your signature.

I agree bits are excellent for this game the multiplier and bits are the only way to make the game more exciting I cant imagine betting 1 mbtc and hitting a 10x multiplier and the result would be 10mbtc boring right. 10,000bits looks a hell of a lot more exciting.

you need to risk more to gain more that is one basic rules

and also judging from mathwhiz status, he finally play it safe and now currently on positive, he used to lose alot seeking for high multiplier

He also has a solid strategy and a lot of bots running with him, when he is playing. {It helps with the bonus}

I have tried to figure it out, but it's not the same strategy every round he plays. It would be nice to follow a much smaller "version" of his strategy... His purse is too big for me to do it on his level.  Sad

It is sometimes just great to watch these guys doing their thing.... The rush from dropping a single bet, with those huge amounts, must be incredible.

They used to max out the minimum 100k bits limit for several bets in a row... but these days.... single bets are MUCH bigger. {Just watching that is exiting, even if it is someone elses money}  Grin Grin

I'm not sure what you mean by "bots running with him", but I'd assume you mean people like me who wait til he's rolling and then bet bit amounts at 1.0x multipliers to cash in on the bonus.  It's really the only profitable way to play.

Also his strategy is clearly a -ev one.  He was betting 70k-200k and going for like 8x multipliers but the last couple times I saw him he was betting 10k-30k and going for max profit it looked like.  He is fun to watch though.

Mathwhiz is using the autobet feature, or id say more rather a custom strategy that is different every time he play, some have tried to follow his strategy but he keeps on using a different one everytime he play there
