Well, one obvious exception that proves the rule, Jackson Palmer ... I'm always impressed by the sheer power of cognitive dissonance and how it prevents people from putting 2 and 2 together in the simplest fashion. Dogecoin is unique in having a senior marketing professional as co-developer. Dogecoin's adoption stats are uniquely standout. Of the tiny handful of people I've encountered in this domain who understand that these two facts are causally related, not one is a dev.

Yep. There are people here who will howl you down and scream at you like you've committed a cardinal sin by just the mention of the word "marketing". It's the "purest propeller head 'puter geeks" who think they have a technological answer to every aspect of the human condition that typically are almost completely ignorant of what makes people tick and how to effect change.

I don't know much about Dogecoin but you can't take away from their achievement even though technically it's a cryptocurrency that has almost no innovation or uniqueness.

I've thought that providing an API to make it dirt simple for 3rd parties to utilise the currency network would be a good idea.

Allow Angry Birds / Snapchat / fad-app-de-jour users to tip / spend / buy stuff from within their mobile app without the app developer having to write all their own code for this. This might prove very popular with app devs if they could tune their own cut...  

They could use a SPR plugin and have it display the currency in sats (and call it AngryBirdPoop of SnapCredit or whatever they want), since nobody wants to tip someone 0.00000001 of anything, it sounds mean.


And I've posted previously about using Masternodes as an anonymous content delivery/comms system. Or a distributed VPN.

Spread still has a great potential, it is the idea of improving crypto I like. It is not all about money. Mr. Spread will come back. In the mean time, are there programmers that can keep this project running?

That's all sorts of Bullshit.  I have opinions but calling Mr. Spread a scammer, as of now, is the biggest pile of shit I can imagine.  I have no idea why he hasn't communicated and at this point I don't care.  This coin was started in July last year...and there is nothing here that makes me believe that this was a long con.

I lost more than a few BTC on this and I am okay with it - I never invest more than I can lose (and I am just below even here).  But this wasn't a scam.  Mr. Spread - for whatever reason he is not communicative - is a stout dev and actually has relevant code here. It's not scam code and the price isn't going anywhere without him so I am pretty sure that he isn't cashing out.

So...pretty much, kindly eff off with your less than rudimentary assessment of the situation...

Same here man. And lets say for arguments sake that Mr. Spread sold 200.000 SPR (10% of the total) than he would have made roughly 100 BTC (selling down from 6 to 4). This doesn't way up agains the effort he put into this and the enormous potential and value of Spread.
