That’s interesting to know and I didn’t realize it but now it makes sense. In many of the Stake threads, posters with Stake signatures keep repeating what another Stake person just said.
Yeah, that's a problem you can see with low-quality members irrespective of which campaign they participate in if there is no proper quality control. As you know, Stake has a big budget for advertising, and it seems like visibility has priority over quality. Despite that, the quality (or lack of it) of a signature campaign can't be used to assess the quality of said casino. Not many people that I know have had issues with Stake.

I agree and definitely don't consider advertising when ranking a book. Stake's still one of the top books. My only concern with them is their KYC policy. I don't think there's anything nefarious with their KYC policies but their KYC checks have to be done much faster. A few more long holds will lead to a drop.

I am slightly confused why the link isn't clickable in your post, but now when I quoted it, it changes to a clickable link.
I'm wondering what is the issue here. It works as a link when we put it in the quote. But it doesn't work as a link when the post is made.

In many of the Stake threads, posters with Stake signatures keep repeating what another Stake person just said.
~snip~ and it seems like visibility has priority over quality. Despite that, the quality (or lack of it) of a signature campaign can't be used to assess the quality of said casino. Not many people that I know have had issues with Stake.
Yep, we shouldn't judge a casino by the post quality of the signature participants. Stake main goal is to get more visibility in the forum. They are already very popular in the crypto gambling world with a lot of players. BTW, Stake has also hired some reputable forum members (maybe privately) to wear their signature.

I fixed the link problem on page 1. Your thread is another great source. Keep an eye on Curacao books since licensing rules are changing. They are going away from the 4 master license system and now each book will need it's own license, no more sub-licenses.

On another note for all, feel free to post about any upcoming NFL promos or contests. The season starts in a little more than one week.

I fixed the link problem on page 1.
What did you do to fix it? The link in your post on page 204 for Mahdirakib's thread is still not clickable. It's a weird issue and I can't remember having come across it earlier; maybe I have but didn't pay attention to it.
I will write about it in Meta. Maybe someone knows what's the reason for it.

Normally when I type in a URL here it's an automatic hyperlink. On page 1 and in the last post of Mahdiralkib's post I used BCT hyperlink up top and then typed in the URL in the middle. Only on Mahdiralkib's link do I have to use the hyperlink up top.

I created a discussion about it in Meta, here > Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted.
Faisal2202 rightly noticed that you placed two empty spaces between the text, Licences by Mahdirakib and the link. If you go back and edit the post and remove one empty space, the link should turn into a hyperlink without the need to add the hyperlink code like you did in post #1. If you are interested, you can follow the rest of the discussions in Meta because it's off-topic here.

Thanks, I didn't even notice that. I'll go take a look at the thread you linked. I did a copy/paste every time I listed other sources which is why they were all like that.

No rating guide has Sportsbet rated ahead of Nitrobetting and Betcoin.

You sure about that?

Sportsbet 8.7
https://casino.guru/sportsbet-io-casino-review

Nitrobetting 6.5
https://casino.guru/nitrobetting-casino-review

CasinoGuru is more legit than all those "guides" you've mentioned combined.
It is no wonder no one takes your ratings seriously.

I just looked at CasinoGuru, even though they don't have a presence here and rank casinos rather than sportsbooks. Betcoin has a better rating than Sportsbet, even the casino side. Betcoin is listed as the top bitcoin only casino. The only negative on Nitrobetting was the casino side with live dealers.

There's also the survivor pool posted on Stake's forum.

Stake's 2023 NFL Survivor Pool (free entry with $50k prize pool)

I was hoping we'd have more NFL pools this season because some of the bookies started offering EPL fantasy pools when the season started last month, but I guess there's still not enough love for the NFL.  Cheesy

Thanks Ralle. NFL fantasy would be great. We'll have to get on these books next year.

There is heavy advertising here for Stake. Many signatures are Stake's. This isn't to say that Stake is a bad book, it just says that advertising is heavy here.
I wouldn't pay that much attention to advertisement and signature campaigns when determining the quality of a casino or a sportsbook. Besides, I don't like the way Stake and their people run the signature campaign on Bitcointalk. Anyone who spends a lot of time on this forum and knows its most quality members will realize that none of them are in Stake's campaign. A more professional campaign manager would have enabled better weekly pay rates and attention to quality and not quantity of posts like it is now.

I guess now we know why Stake and others pay for quantity, it works and gives the impression desired.

I'm not sure how anyone who pays attention to the actual gambling activity on the forum could miss out on how bad some Stake posters are at posting quality, constructive content that actually contributes to gambling.

I run several self-moderated threads. I'm active in many gambling threads. I also run my own thread publishing best odds on value longshots -- this is 5 seasons running, and the best lines are shown, lately, it's only been Sportsbet where I place bets. Granted, it's a niche market (long odds with price boost) but I have featured many books over the years and slowly, taken them off owing to closure (like Bitcoinrush), bad support, or bad lines (nitro was an early casualty years ago due to this).

On self-mod threads, I delete a lot of spam and they come from Stake a lot. I get the impression most of them aren't even gamblers and wouldn't know the first thing about advising on a book/casino. I use Stake don't get me wrong (MMA best odds and decent house games), but I bet on sports almost daily and I get the best odds elsewhere (generally at Sportsbet because of price boost which blows everyone out of the water) on my niche market.

But let's ignore content quality and inspect gambling content. Look around the forum and you'll find casino and sports gamblers who actually gamble (provably, either through screenshots or betslip sharing) generally come from a handful of sites. Look at Gambling discussion (not ANNs), scan through betslips and screenshots. Cross reference with quality content. Look at where their money is.

My impression is, actual gamblers put their wallet where their mouth is -- you know which sites they rate, by correlation of where most of their bets are placed. Don't look at signatures and empty posts promoting their sites.

And for the majority of users who post, you'll find they actually don't gamble. Just there to spam.

Ratings are... arbitrary. And I say this with reference to my own thread that in effect rates books by the value they offer me in my specific type of gambling. I could rate phones and any idiot could do the same but in the end, if the world majority buys an iPhone despite its many flaws (according to me), that's the "best" phone there is out there because that's where people vote with their money. My thoughts, anyway.

buwaytress - thanks for jumping in this thread. It's obvious that you've been around the block and you've made a ton of good points. I read your thread and like it. I'll just talk about the books that you have posted above. I really liked Bitcoinrush when they were up. One of the few that ran NFL contests. The owner seemed to be a great guy but you are right in some slow responses since it seemed to be a 1 or 2 man show.

With Nitrobetting, you will find the best lines many times. In the markets that I play, Nitrobetting is a must. As you well know, the line is more important than the margin. You only bet one side. Even if we are talking margins, look at American football at Nitrobetting. The margin is small.

With Betcoin, they now have 2 sets of lines along with boosted odds. Because of this, you'll find the best lines many times. As an example, in college football they had Utah Utes -4 while everyone else was -5. I haven't looked at lines for this weekend yet. For live lines, Betcoin may have more markets than anyone else.

With Sportsbet, I'll still have to stick by never getting the best line. My previous search was in depth. I just took a quick look and didn't see any changes. Since I didn't check all markets, I could be wrong.

I'm not sure how anyone who pays attention to the actual gambling activity on the forum could miss out on how bad some Stake posters are at posting quality, constructive content that actually contributes to gambling.
That's exactly the point I was making earlier. That's because they weren't picked based on a quality criteria. The manager chose many members who would never be accepted in other campaigns with stricter quality control. The result is nonsense for the most part. There are exceptions, of course.

On self-mod threads, I delete a lot of spam and they come from Stake a lot. I get the impression most of them aren't even gamblers and wouldn't know the first thing about advising on a book/casino.
Yeah, they are only there because it's a requirement of their campaign to post in the gambling boards. I am sure that many don't even follow sports at all or the matched they are talking about because their posts show information you can find on any live score app and nothing more.

Real gamblers probably hang around in various prediction pools where you have to pay to gain access. That's where you will find genuine discussions about markets, odds, matched they bet on, etc.

So is it true only freebitco does this kind of betting, I would have guessed many places.   I know it'd be related to population size of bettors to properly balance itself out, Ive bet this system on tiny sites and the odds become massively erratic at times.

iPhone despite its many flaws (according to me), that's the "best" phone there is out there because that's where people vote with their money.

Point there would be user interface, mobiles need to improve massively still but today they are worlds greatest advancement of computers to the common people.   This is probably true of many products, making it available, easily utilized by the average person is maybe the most important point to success.
I dont especially like Apple products but I had to respect they are greatly liked by people who otherwise would not intricately  use computers especially.  Maybe the same point applies to gambling sites, I want to place a bet in a minute without getting lost in various menus and options; it always seems I would be placing the bet vs time as a factor.

Pmalek - you and buwaytress are sharp gamblers. If either of you see a play that you really like, feel free to post it. Also, you guys aren't selling anything so posting your links now and then is fine. One goal of this thread was to make it a one stop shop and adding some plays would be a nice addition.

Hmmmm, you really need to learn to read the room.
I'd be totally shocked if anyone wasted their time posting plays in this thread to be honest.

My previous search was in depth. I just took a quick look and didn't see any changes. Since I didn't check all markets, I could be wrong.
You are very wrong.
Maybe your new "search" should include checking "all markets" and not just American Football which fits your narrative dude.

In the markets that I play, Nitrobetting is a must.
Thanks for FINALLY admitting to your total bias and lack of due diligence.

You should talk facts. Show me one line you consider Sportsbet to be the best line and I’ll show you a book that is better.

When ralle , buwatress and pmalek make a post it makes me think. When you post it’s an attack with no substance that I breeze over and more or less ignore.

Show me one line you consider Sportsbet to be the best line and I’ll show you a book that is better.
It got me thinking, so I am going to find three major sports events and only compare the odds of Nitrobetting versus Sportsbet to see who offers more.

Here we go:

1. France vs Ireland, football - odds for 1, X, 2
Sportsbet - 1.21, 6.40, 14. With price boosts 1.22, 6.78, 14.91
Nitrobetting - 1.22, 5.40, 12

2. Shelton vs Djokovic, tennis
Sportsbet - 9.60, 1.04. With price boosts 10.20, 1.04
Nitrobetting - 9.75, 1.07

3. USA - Germany, basketball - odds for 1 and 2
Sportsbet - 1.16, 5.50. With price boosts 1.17, 5.82
Nitrobetting - 1.17, 4.88

I didn't take any screenshots, so you are just going to have to take my word for it. In all three examples, Sportsbet has slightly lower odds on the favorites. With price boosts, the odds increased to those of Nitrobetting, except for Djokovic were they remained at 1.04 even with a price boost for some reason.

If you are betting on the underdogs, you will get more favorable odds on Sportsbet, particularly if using a bet boost. But the bets on favorites are slightly lower in normal mode. They became the same in 2/3 cases with a booster.

Depends on the market but I'll look at other books in a few minutes that will show the same or better line on all of those. The thing with Nitrobetting is that you will find the best line of all books at times.
