Sportsbet.io downgraded to "C-". On December 3, 2023 Sportsbet confiscated $14,500, both the deposit and winnings from a player. The ToS from Sportsbet dictates that they can confiscate funds if the deem wrong-doing. A ToS saying that a book can steal doesn't make it right to steal. There may be times when deposits may need to be taken as a deterrent but strong proof of multiple misdeeds is needed. In looking around the web, Trust Pilot alone shows 8 cases of confiscated funds in the last few months. Sportsbet does reply to their Trust Pilot. Even though Trust Pilot score doesn't reflect in the ratings of this thread, Sportsbet has a Trust Rating of 1.7 with 74% of the users giving a rating of 1. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sportsbet.ioMost sportsbooks in this thread are very easy to work with. If there are problems, I'll ask questions and they will answer. Sportsbet will not answer any questions even when the player gives me permission to look into their account. 2. Working with the forum. This is a player's thread and books are held responsible for their actions. Questions are asked of books concerning number of employees, time in business, experience, poster problems, etc. If a book is going to ignore a player's thread, they will be severely downgraded. Most books are very easy to work with. Sportsbet repeats the same pattern over and over again. They accuse a player of multi-accounting and confiscate the players funds without evidence. It's tough to make a decision on which party is right when a book will not provide proof. Placed two bets on a hockey game (ML/FT). My team won after OT, so I lost the one bet and won the other. This was on the 7th of January. Then the day after I could suddenly not login to my account. I tried to reset password, but still would not work. I contacted live chat that told me to send an email. Have sent two emails. No reply. Now I dont even get a reply from live chat when I write my real username and name. If I write another name, they reply in 30 seconds. "1 main point, the customer asked to NOT have the amount paid in one go.." Microgaming states, "Updated: January 4, 2024 Are Microgaming Jackpots Paid in Full? Without exception, jackpots won at Microgaming slots are paid out in full" and "Winners of a progressive jackpot receive a lump sum." Since Sportbet isn't holding the money, it's impossible for them to be paying the player. The press releases being sent out by Sportsbet.io are making it look as though Sportsbet.io is paying the player in USDT. The player did win the jackpot by playing a slot at Sportsbet that is part of a progressive jackpot with machines located in many casinos. These are Microgaming slots. After the Sportbets claims of paying $42m USDT, I decided to revisit the complaints against Sportsbet. The latest Trust Pilot report on Sportsbet on January 13, 2024 states that the player's deposits have been confiscated https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sportsbet.io. Sportsbet ToS says that they may confiscate money due to inactivity. Most ToS do state that they can confiscate or charge interest. The thing is that Sportsbet invokes these rules and most other casinos don't invoke these rules. There are many complaints against Sportsbet where Sportsbet is confiscating money for claims of double spending and having multiple accounts. Sportsbet refuses to supply proof of these claims. In the past I've tried to just ignore complaints when I was unsure of the party in the right. When Sportsbet doesn't supply proof of why they made a confiscation, I'll no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for bringing this here GekkeBelg, they've been added. Sorry to see this. They are at the bottom of the list since they are NR but I think I'll rearrange the list later in alphabetical order instead of rating to make it easier to look up for posters. Criteria used to rate a book.
1. Security - getting paid is by far most important.
2. Working with the forum. I'm no longer going to trust a Sportsbook's word for scam accusations. I've sent out a PM to all the books in the first spreadsheet. A sportsbook must agree to binding arbitration at a governing body such as AskGamblers or allow me to see details of disputes in order to have an "A" rating. Binding arbitration is best with a site such as AskGambers or ThePogg. I don't want to do it since it's a no win situation for me. If not, the highest rating that they can obtain will be a "B". Safety and security is the most important thing and we must be assured that our funds are not being confiscated without proof of wrongdoing. In some jurisdictions a license will be fine but not in Curacao. Curacao is not going to rule in the player's favor. Books are taking too long to approve KYC documentation after all has been provided. Some are taking up to 3 months. With that in mind, on January 24th, I'll post what books have decided on binding arbitration and adjustments will be made. Books with licenses in such places as the UK and US are held to high standards. The standard of crypto books needs to be increased. Not having a license in the UK or US doesn't mean a book can steal according to a ToS rule that would be thrown out in a court of law. |

This is a new casino and you are a respected poster so I've immediately put them in the scam (F) category. Contact AskGamblers and ThePogg to file complaints. Those two have the most success. This is happening all too often. I'll paraphrase the book's rule. If you have more than one account, we can steal all your money. We determine if you have more than one account and we don't have to show proof to anyone. Rollbit, Sportsbet and Stake are the biggest abusers of that rule. We have to put pressure on all books to pay back in full, winnings and deposits, if they don't want our business. |
