After reading it I'm under the impression that the field trip photos made him resign. He points out that the staff took a flight instead of fixing a database bug.

They were going to a bitcoin show that had been in the planning for weeks. Also the current status of the database issue isn't know.

I saw 6 or 7 people there, thats probably less than half of their team. Both sides overreacted. I wouldn't ban the guy for his opinion, but I also wouldn't flame them for going to a conference. It's not like they flew to a beach party on The Bahamas

If not the jet pictures then it would have been something else where his opinion would clash with the CEO's ego. Funny how the ban was justified using the "respect" rule. His post was probably the most respectful way to express that opinion, extra points for ESL. I think we need a clearer definition of respect in HT context.

That is easy to define...if your not ass kissing CEO, your not respectful hehe

According to HT the little squiggle next to the cloud logo means "BETA": Edited 2020-11-27 to fix a broken imageTBH I didn't realize we're in beta. Not that it doesn't make sense given all the issues, but I just thought that officially you wouldn't want to put paying customers on beta software.

Well.. one thing they have proven is that they can't successfully implement code and changes to their formats.. So this shouldn't be suprising?

Afaik Google had Gmail in beta for ages, including the business section. But that's also their gimmick

That "beta" is clearly visible. You just need to post the picture in bigger resolution than 400x300...

Wow there sure is some heavy moderation going on over there. I posted a reply to the post linking the blog, and I wasnt rude or anything. I simply said that I havent even been in the 'private jet' thread as Ive been too busy checking the forum for bug fixes, splitting & renaming my hashlets (with a view to trying to sell them), and emailing GAW support, and I got a few upvotes and my post vanished haha.... The best you can do if you disagree with the 'company line' over there is downvote a few of the fanboys/groupies it seems.

Yea, it's getting worse. I've more or less quit using it due to the moderation and ease in which you get shadow banned.
