Here's the issue I'm having with hating GAWMiners though...

GAWMiners owns the majority of ZeusMiner and ZeusMiner makes some of the most cost effective and profitable SCRYPT Based ASiC(s) currently available.

So should everyone stop purchasing one of the most cost effective SCRYPT ASiC(s) simply because GAWMiners owns the majority in the company.

It's like saying Ohh I don't like Bill Gates so I'm not gonna ever use a Windows Operating System.

its funny you say this because i actually said screw bill gates and said im not going to use windows or the products they made. Well kinda failed on me cause i love my xbox 360 and xbox one then company i work for issuing new phone upgrades and options was iphone or windows based phone on 1st come basis so now i have windows phone. So i still hate bill gates since i think he can do so many things better but dont just for profit so im back to windows. Besides it is easier to watch porn on windows devices LOL

Your complaint is about an announcement.

I think Oldminer highlights a good point, albeit somewhat erratically. The CEO made a post on HT with the sole purpose of letting everyone know that he will announce something in a few hours or later today or whatever the phrasing was. And then didn't announce anything and didn't offer any explanation. While technically inconsequential, this has been a recurring pattern, and has caused quite a bit of chaos in the past due to the very emotional nature of this whole HT "announcement culture". So it's really puzzling why they would deliberately do it again. I mean the pre-announcement and the silence. I can fully understand the the actual announcement could have been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, but there was absolutely no reason to do that pre-announcement post OR pretend like it never happened, as it now looks like a bad joke.

As for banning, unfortunately Oldminer's ban was a foregone conclusion. Downvoting the CEO is definitely out of bounds as far as HT "respect" is concerned. Whether Oldminer agrees with that or not, their forum, their rules.

Technically you should be able to apply them towards a new hashlet purchase, if you make that purchase in ZenCloud - there is a checkbox for that in the checkout process. But I've seen someone complain that hashpoints don't get applied even when that checkbox is checked. Not sure if this had been fixed yet, so be careful.

Well just to clear things up a bit. They did go to Vegas, there is a thread with photos and there was a contest for some GAW fans to go along to the conference with GAW team. The Vegas trip was certainly no secret.

yup, agreed, it was a bad screw up. there was no need to "preannounce" and then make no announcement. that made a ton of people upset

FWIW I have achieved ~105% ROI on LTC Gear after 6 weekly payouts. I'm still 90% sure they are a ponzi-like structure, but someone in this thread asked a while ago about the LTC Gear ROI, so here it is. It's interesting though that they are still selling at the same USD price as ~2 months ago (even the coupon that was supposed to expire is still valid) but the old shares have been multiplied so are actually earning MORE than the new shares,  which are more expensive in BTC/LTC now due to exchange rates. In other words ROI is getting worse for new purchases I think.

Yeah, I had about 21k+ hashpoints that weren't deducted when I purchased some Zen Hashlets. Definitely had the box checked too. Submitted a ticket pretty quickly about it, but still waiting for a response.
