1 $SLG is going to be worth 0.01 btc soon
A 1$ SLG is definitely on the cards, it's just a matter of when. Personally, I think it will be sometime in 2017, Q2 or Q3. Sterling Sentinel

Sterling SentinelI think he means 1 SLG will be worth 1,000,000 btc sat, which right now is ~$7 but will go up for sure That's why I say SLG it too scarce, 1,000,000 btc sat will look too expensive for 1 SLG (and I dont mean diluting my stake)

As to $7, yes, there is every reason to believe it will reach that level, possibly mid-late 2017, if we're lucky. In which case, you may well have a point about SLG being relatively scarce. Are you suggesting a coin swap? Sterling Sentinel

Any update on the code rebase?
Which features are likely to be included?
Sterling Sentinel
I have been devoting a portion of my days to the Sterlingcoin rebase. Specifically and currently, sifting through Bitcoin's .9 branch to find missing code enhancements. I have been delegating and outsourcing tasks, whenever financially feasible, on my other obligations within crypto because a portion of my day will not get the rebase done in a timely fashion. That delegation process is more time-consuming, especially when tasks need to be delegated repeatedly, than hoped but, is the only feasible path and will be continued. As far as features, and updated code base is the only one decided. Features like masternodes have not been decided. As stated previously, none of those features would be added without the consent of the community. The rebase is not depended on those decisions. I honestly have been treating them separately from a project management perspective at this point. As some of you may already be aware, there have been unforeseen hurdles and delays in my colleagues Matthew and Spencer's Silk Network (now rebranding as Duality) project that has prevented their return of focus to Sterlingcoin. To the details of those delays, I am unaware as I myself do not closely monitor those projects but, only hear fragments in crosstalk in other conversations and in passing. Of course, my personal objective is to gain assistance with the goals of Sterlingcoin, first and foremost being the rebase. As previously mentioned, I also intend to bring Sterlingcoin seednodes and a block explorer back online. Those fundamental foundational pieces can be achieved relatively easily, even in the absence of the full team. Expect relevant announcements of those services being restored before the month's end. I also have not forgotten the expectation of an updated roadmap and have secured a graphics artist to assist with that. The unknown variable of my colleagues' return does make projections therein, that would greatly be influenced by their return, uncertain. I know that may be little good news in light of the prolonged delays of meeting expectations for the entire Sterlingcoin developer team, but I hope is found as reassurance to the refusal to let the project "die" as previously mentioned. I would like to personally thank the community for all the recent activity. I do hope to leverage the community involvement and recent market activity to motivate my colleagues' return of focus to Sterlingcoin. Cheers! Steven

Yes, having the full SLG team around gonna be awesome I hope price increase and other countrycoins price increase will help to get them back.

Hi Steven.
Thanks for the timely (and very comprehensive!) update. It is greatly appreciated, as always.
Glad to hear that the rebase is underway; take your time, do it well, there really is no rush.
I agree with your decision re additional features. At this stage, only the code rebase really matters, just to keep SLG ‘ticking over’, as it were. Any features that the community feels should be added can be done (much) later, preferably when the team is up to strength again, so there is not too much weight on your shoulders.
On the subject of algo change/POW phase, recent comments by others suggests that this would not be a desirable move, a conclusion that I have finally come round to myself. We should just stick with X13 and pure POS.
“I know that may be little good news in light of the prolonged delays of meeting expectations for the entire Sterlingcoin developer team, but I hope is found as reassurance to the refusal to let the project "die" as previously mentioned.”
I may be only speaking for myself here, but the content of your post is all the ‘good news’ I need this side of Christmas. And I really don’t need reassurance; your continuing commitment to this project is all too obvious for those of us who closely monitor this thread. I just hope that Spencer and Matthew rejoin you in delivering your best efforts on behalf of Sterlingcoin before too long.
And I’m looking forward to the new roadmap!!
Take care of yourself buddy.

From his posts it is obvious that Rw13enlib88 is a big fan of countrycoins. So am I, as it happens.
I know I’ve said this before but, when countrycoins eventually take off (as I’m sure they will) the charge will be led by AUR and NLG, simply because they are in pole position amongst the ‘national’ cryptos.
That will set the scene for other countrycoins to start making serious advances, as the man-in-the-street starts to hear about them and begins to comprehend what they are all about. It is at that point (sometime during the course of 2017, probably the latter half) that Sterlingcoin will have its moment, and serious promotional work should begin.
That’s why I say there is no rush about the rebase; to some extent, Sterlingcoin is at the mercy of events yet to unfold and over which we have no control.
We must continue to be patient.

My apologies for the slow response, mafia. I assure you, the Sterlingcoin client does function on Windows 10. Can you please elaborate on the difficulties you are experiencing getting it to run on your system and I would be happy to help?
