We Need bittrex first imo.

they either want a ton of volume valuing .02 btc per week which at current price would mean a lottt of coins have to be traded daily( completely understandable)
or 3btc for a listing for 6 months where these volume limits are ignored.

Actualy the volume needed for Bittrex is more. They delist coins that have a volume less then 0.2 BTC a DAY over the past 7 days....that means a volume of 1.4 BTC to NOT get delisted. For us to get listed we need to create much more volume.

I guess all exchanges (popular) manage the applications based on volume... some more, some less.

I am not entirely sure what BTER need to enlist a coin. But asking them can solve that problem.
The other side of the coin is that I am not sure if they will do it. Based on the estimated superstition that "most of people" think ECC is or was dead, they will NOT do a thing, unless there is indication (based on market cap history) that the coin is really recovered.

But I guess trying does not hurt. And it's what I am doing by voting there every day. 10 votes/hour (when I can vote).

EDIT: In my opinion, bittrex is driven more or less 100% by the profit each coin generates to them. BTER too, but they have different business alignments and the result is obviously different. I prefer BTER. No hard fellings on Bittrex though.

How come client has 0 connections to network? 2.1.

For those that are experiencing "0" connections with the 2.1.0.0 wallet, please check if your .conf file is like this.
Especialy the first addnode=129.21.141.60

ECCoin.conf

listen=1
server=1
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
addnode=129.21.141.60
addnode=38.93.234.100
addnode=54.72.236.49
addnode=23.251.134.93
rpcport=19119
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

You can find ECCoin.conf here (depending on OS):

Windows: %APPDATA%\ECCoin\
Linux: ~/.ECCoin/

Yes, the wallets 2.1.0.0 are all ok.
They will generate a ECCoin.conf file, but the first addnode in that .conf file needs to be changed to addnode=129.21.141.60

You can find ECCoin.conf here (depending on OS):

Windows: %APPDATA%\ECCoin\
Linux: ~/.ECCoin/
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/ECCoin/

Return to BTC market is what all of us want. There are serveral ways to do that. A swap can be a good thing, it also reduces the size of the blockchain we have on the moment, but it also creates problems for forgotten wallets. We will keep this option open.

What we are doing on the moment is creating some pretty unique futures for our coins (ECC and MWC). Griffith is working on 2 things, in wallet trading and Multicoin support. We believe that these 2 futures will generate a lot of interest in these coins, especialy the Multicoin support because it's a new thing, never seen before.

Seeing how the progress is going at the moment, I expect that we can see these futures to be roled out at the end of the year or in the first 2 weeks of January

Maybe we should put a downloadable dat file in the op. Getting this wallet up running was a long process. Lets make it easy for new investors.

Good idea. Took me a couple of days to get full blockchain downloaded and multiple restarts of the client.
