Um... ok. I was expecting something fancy like a p2p storage rental MAID or STORJ but from what I understand both are massively LESS profitable than BURST is. Long term, there will be a cryptocoin shakeout - I anticipate that eventually there will only be 2 or perhaps 3 cryptocoins that have significant value. I do suspect it will take years though, but there are already coins that have died or have done so for all practical basis.

I just heard that the BurstNation team have been working on a new mobile wallet and that it will be released to the public very soon. It won't be long before Burst is back on track and trading back up above 300 sats again.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Just announcing you guys that the bittrex burst wallet is now up and running! Waiting for Poloniex to solve their issues with the burst wallet as well. Idk what is the problem with them..They are the biggest altcoin exchange and they have one of the slowest customer support service. Poloniex Burst exchange is also open again maybe the reason for the actual dump?

I'm *finally* figuring how to set this up and mine with it, lol. Do any of the old faucets work? Or are their new ones? I'll the one's I've found are either dry or no longer existent.
Some people are saying this is dead. I really like the idea of HDD mining... is there another project out there that does a similar thing but is more up-to-date and has more active devs? Just curious. Planning on mining some of this for awhile if I can figure it out.
my address is fghnxfghkmdfhfghkm just in case anyone is feeling a bit charitable.

There is no "wallet" in the bitcoin sense. Your passphrase is the sole secret that is needed to control funds. You can log in to any wallet that is up to date and check/send your funds wherever you want them.

I finally managed to mine burst on my ubuntu mining rig to burstrenegade pool by using uray miner. I noticed that uray miner does not work at pool with cloudflare protection, tested burstrenegade burstcoin.space and burstcoin.ro. And I have did some modification to uray miner, forked it at https://github.com/seasonw/BurstMiner. Hope it helps.

Oh I know, but since the site went down I was trying to login here http://pool.burst-team.us:8125/index.html (a link from a previous post) and it was showing up with the correct wallet address but a 0 balance and an error message.

Price dropped below 200sat, for a moment there were even 150 sat.. Is burst mining still worth it? According to the number of difficulties, Power consumption and other factors. As long as profitable, worthy of mining.

Is burst mining still worth it? that's a big question for those who cant hold and wait but for those who still supporting this project mining and holding will allow miners to gain some rewards when value went up again its just affected with current btc rise lets see if correction will happen afterwards.

Burst coin is a very interesting idea to me.
But does it actually have any applications, i.e. renting disk space, etc.? Or is it just "another" alt-coin at the moment?
It's just another alt-coin with a (so far) pretty much unique method of mining it. Um... ok. I was expecting something fancy like a p2p storage rental Without real world application, I fail to see much chance to succeed in the long term. We already have btc as the ancestor for mining and it has values. I am not sure how Burst can stand out rather than letting people "mine with disk". That's Storj/Siacoin etcc... Burst is a crypto with storage capacity as its Proof of Work algorithm. You can not have Proof of Work that does something of real value, just look at Bitcoin mining for an example. The "drive rental" type service, eg Storj that rent out disk space, does not use it as their PoW, they have no PoW, their "token" is created out of thin air by the development team as an ICO. There is really no similarity at all between services like Storj and Burst.
