Wow this new coin is blowing up so fast
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760143.new#new

Please don't promote another coin in this thread. That has nothing to contribute to Burst.

comon this coin is dead!!!!!!!!

That's your opinion if it's dead, then why are people still mining it?

205 o shit!!! Tongue Undecided

I can't decide if I should dump now to reduce the loss or just f*ck it, hold, and be a sucker bagholder...

Hope you sold some in the beginning to make something. I sold half and hold the other half I mined, might buy some this week if the prices stay low.

I didn't sell any.  Last few days I'm thinking of buying more but falling trend seems to continue so now my thoughts are switched to dump instead of buy.  Since I'm indecisive about this atm I'm now just holding and watching, and mine what I can.

Where is this merge utility.  The only thing that I can think of that you could be referring to has been taken down.

Right on the OP.

https://bchain.info/dcct_miner.tgz

It also includes the merge tool

Linux only -.-

cryptoport pools update

sorry i've been very very very busy working on pool
here what i've done :

1. replaced back-end from java to c++ to calculate nonce deadline, its should be faster and handle better load right now
2. fixed some bugs
3. updated wallet back-end to 1.1.1
4. updgraded hardware
    http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io (US) 16 core xeon, 24GB Mem,  3.0% pool fee (from 4core, 8GB, 1.5% fee)
    http://burst-pool2.cryptoport.io (SG) 8 core xeon, 16GB Mem, 2.0% pool fee (from 4core, 8GB, 1.5% fee)

burst-pool (US) is moved from google cloud (US) to amazon EC2 (US) since google has weird issue with their firewall, i can't even access my own web from here, and i need to make slight adjustment to pool fee to cover running cost.

glad to see you are still with us. and either your pool is paying out well again or..... its moving 1 tb plots to cpu plotted thats increased my payouts. i believe the latter is true. 1 tb hdd left to plot cpu style. :-/

Thanks for clear explanation...

Can you please tell me what throughput do you have on that usb3 disk i/o when mining for that 20 seconds?

I've got really low I/O when mining through plots - cca 2000 kB/s (but for a lot longer than you)... Is it ok?

Anyway I'll merge the files using your tool to see the improvement.
I just want to have something to compare with...
Thank you!

While mining ~1GB is read of the 4TB. With merged plots that would take less than 10s to read, if you have a fast processor. Here its ~50MB/s while reading

2000KB/s is too low.
It showed up that I was using stagger 512 when using gpuPlotGenerator.exe (due to limit of my GFX card).

What miner have you used to benchmark that 50MB/s? pocminer_pool in java?

I'm now merging files with your merge tool and it looks like it is using total number of nonces in file as stagger..?

Quote
Processing /home/storage/plots/ACCID_0_100352_512 file...
Reorganizing file /home/storage/plots/ACCID_0_100352_512 to file ACCID_0_100352_100352:

There is no way to tune this using parameters or its ok?

I'll see if there is improvement in disk I/O speed.

Hi,

I have a couple of questions!! I have been pooled mining using Dccts miner on ubuntu.

How do i switch back to solo mining? I completed the reward assignment with my public address. Still no coins

When I try to use Dcct's miner i get a stupid high time like 187876768452342?

Please stop with that, we don't need to know your profits/losses. Stop bragging, that's childish. Please be mature.
