I setup a private pool because I was having lots of issues with the public ones. I am in the process of moving my miners over. This is designed for experienced miners only! I will not be providing any support. Credit to uray for open sourcing his pool.

Fees are set at 0.

If you have 2TB+ PM me and I will give you a link.

The pool works perfectly, no more errors on submitting shares like others! But we need some TB! People with big plots, join this one!

Still need experienced miners with big plots!

Little update to my Java Heap space Error

I watched the process ram using and noticed, that java it working constantly with about 280MB and suddenly after like 30min it goes up to over 1000mb within 20sek. and crashes.
Now i set the java priority to high and now i can start the miner with 2048MB what was not possible before.

Just mining for about 15min. now, but i hope now it will work.

Nevermind, after the miner couldn´t transmitt for a while, it went up to 2048 and CRASH!
How is this possible, im shure i have the same problem with more ram.
It´s not getting smaller even after he submitted everything and working normal.

Isn´t ram supposed to move data after a while?

I´m so frustrated, i really dont know why this happens Sad

Okay just FYI, i´m now at xms3072, so the overall ram capacity is lower than the usable xms value.
Now the java usage does not exceed 400mb (i really don´t know why but it´s good), only the overall ram goes up to
95% when transmittig and back to 75% when it´s done.

No crash for 2h, hadn´t had that for days.
I think it won´t work for many hours or a day, but hopefully my ordered ram will be here by tomorrow and
maybe the problem will be solved complety.

Why do people complain they lost their coins. a normal person would see TWO boxes there AND NO QR code and think HMM I should look closer at this... NAH copy and paste.
So excited to dump....lol you sure did dump didn't you

lol, no kidding, not to mention the pump hasn't even started yet, I actually just bought 60k more at 250 because I know it's going higher than that. I'm gonna have fun within the next few days Cheesy

Come off it, crowetic, you don't KNOW anything about a pump.  You are HOPING the price goes up, but you really have no knowledge of when or if it will happen.  Say what you mean.

I thought you left his coin days ago? How's your hard drive sale coming along? SMH.

I am leaving it, this coins' price has popped and the party is over, as far as I'm concerned.  But I'm still mining until I sell the 4 3TB Seagate Barracuda hard drives for $100 each, I can be PM'd about them right here.  I also have a Sempron 145 CPU and its cooler for sale for $40 and a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard for $100 with original box and CD and book and everything.  This motherboard can unlock this Sempron 145 to an Athlon 4450e dual core.

Releasing a GPU plotter was the equivalent of an ASIC, so it's all done for this coin now.

What does SMH mean?

The GPU plotter is nowhere near ASIC's. You still have to use your HDD to mine. Did you even read what this coin is about?

Why are you still here? You don't even know what you are talking about.

I've done the math - created a GPU miner that can go without HDD, optimized it and so on. Result? A High-End GPU equals ~40GB disk space - at best - at 200W power consumption. Even with ASIC's built for this coin its FAR from being profitable.

Who cares what this coin is about?  I am only here to make a profit, and when that is gone, so am I.  The advent of GPU plotters means people are buying 50-100 TB worth of drives at a time, because they can plot 4TB-6TB drives far more quickly now.  I have seen multiple posts here of that sort.  This drives up the difficulty and means less coins for me, which means LESS PROFIT FOR ME.

GPU plotters may not exactly equal ASICs, but in the end they make things more difficult for me.

Besides, my miners tend to lock up at least once a day and I have to go restart them (and yes, I added the extra code to the config files to auto-restart them), and it's just not worth the hassle.  You can all laugh at me for leaving when (and IF) the price 10X's.

I currently have about 10,900 BURST coins to transfer to C-CEX and sell.  I switched all my miners from pool to solo mining yesterday, as I wasn't getting more than 500 coins a day with about 6TB of plots running.  Another 3TB drive is finishing its plotting today and I'll use it also until they get sold.

He's not totally wrong.
End of agoust price was 400-500 satoshi, and i could mine 10k every day with only 1 TB.
And i was thinking "Price is 500 satoshi,10k a day, low diff, wow, when diff encrease price will hit 2k".
Then GPU plotter comes out, i could mine only 900 a day with 1 TB,diff encrease and price is dumped to 200 satoshi.
So,sure GPU plotter made "new dumpers". Or at least GPU plt give a boost in price down.
Or i can't explain this bloody price.

The issue is PR/Advertisement, other than here and a couple articles. Just like any product, success depends on how people you reach out to and give a good selling point to invest. Supply and demand do go hand and hand, but it's demand that is most important of the two. I love this coin and the innovation, but we as the community need to push this out more for it to succeed as a whole. Don't listen to the Fudder's, they are just stroking their ego to feel good, since they can't control life the way they want to.

Otherwise, the miner is a issue that needs to be repaired. It's crashing frequently, even if the heap size is increased and don't know if even increasing system ram will fix it.

Can confirm. Each of my systems have 6tb each and are allocated 10gb ram. These crashes happen every day and a half.

I have mine running with at least 5000 xmx a piece, the pool miners were crashing all the fuckin time. Then I switched back to solo, and seems all good. I think I will stay solo for a while or maybe switch to a private pool once I get the answers I am looking for. But at this point, it seems the best way to do anything with BURST is to install linux. That's until some new development gets rolling for Windows.

also, like people are saying, this coin is not a one pump, dump, disappear coin, it's one that can and will be mined long term because power for mining it is so cheap. I am in this till the end, hell, I even have my asics mining it via the multipool. Then I bought stake in the multipool for even more support. Long-term this will pay off and the price will increase...

What we need to do right now, is reach out to anyone with pull in the crypto community, and get them aware of the coin, get whales aware, make all little miners aware, let the normal person know that he can now mine by just leaving his computer on, and dedicating some hard drive space.

GET THE WORD OUT!

I'm doing my best, but I'm afraid my reach just isn't that far. We need people here with large twitter followings, etc in order to accomplish this.

I know I've said it before but I have 3 mining instances running (one per drive to lazy to symlink), bfgminer going, windows 7, had plotting instance going to last night, utorrent seeding a dozen torrents, multiple IE windows open, msi afterburner, windows media player (typically watching hd content on tv) and some other stuff with only 8gb of ddr3 2400 ram.   I think if its crashing you need to check your sticks of ram individually for errors unless the miner changed in the latest update?  Im on the v2 pool and haven't rebooted my pc or turned off my miners in a week at least.

i dont think its an issue by the ram sticks, my pc works fine since years, not a single ram problem.
I saw the java ram usage increasing at one point to mulitple gb for no reason (as far as i could see it),
it´s more of a software problem that some have ans some not.

since i go with 3gb heap it works fine, will see if its still working tomorrow.
I fixed it by setting java priority to high and increase the xms.

Maybe there just a programm running or something that causes the error.
