I'd like to check my miner against the testnet before launch, but can't sync as no connections. I already added addnode=66.55.90.58 to the conf. OP can you put your testnet node up please and give me the ip?
If you download wallets from here http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/testnet/, they will automatically connect. I just opened up nodes, you might try again. Thanks I had downloaded from there. It is connecting to two nodes now, but is stuck on block 171. Any ideas?

With regards to the miner, if I run as many threads as I have CPU cores, I see that my CPU usage is only at about 20% and each thread returns ~ 50khash/sec. If I run more threads CPU usage goes down but each thread still returns ~ 50 khash/sec. So is that reporting the hash rate accurately?

So is that reporting the hash rate accurately? so that means you run more threads than total number of CPU cores (how many threads actually running) and get 50 Khps/ea? kinda strange. correct. AND I have noticed that my CPU usage has gone DOWN with more threads. For example, with 8 cores, 8 threads my total cpu usage is 300% (ubuntu top). With 1 threads it is 130%-150% but all threads in both cases return 50 khash/s. Very weird I'm also getting most shares rejected. Is that just because minerd submits everything it finds regardless of difficulty? EDIT: Ok I think this is because I am hosting the wallet centrally and the miners are not connecting locally to RPC. I think the miners are becoming starved of data.

It will find blocks but will also have rejects; the minerd was initially pulled up from XCN for M7 as initially targeted at, while now we've changed the algo.

what file extension is the linux daemon? we are trying to launch coin.
tar -xzf ubuntu_14_amd64_magid_v1.0.0.1
we tried several times to contact dev, and were listed in OP for days, and we literally never got a response.

I missed your message, there are many message coming yesterday, and too busy to check them out fully. Just PM you. That is the testnet wallet not for setting up pools, source code will be available at the launch.

The only regret bag holders of magi are going to have tomorrow is that they didn't have more coins. I see a steep rise on the horizon! 🚀

In addition to dev's VPS/Debian guide, can someone put an AWS/Ubuntu copy-paste guide as well?
My 5% donation still stands :-)
I have a conversion with a person and did EC2 stuffs; he will write guides and video possibly, I wish will see that soon. Hello there, any news on the guide?
