Hi you all,
Is there a possibility to limit the mining power at the pools or?
I have my mining power brought back to about 900khs 8 hours a day, but it would be better and nicer to just get a limit on a pool, so i can leave my miners open and not mining to much

Good idea but what if someone with much power mine on wallet (without pool)?
XMG Mining reward depending on difficulty, is for me the best solution. For long term, big miners will leave mine XMG...

i agree, but maby we can do both, so it looks fair for the normal hs miners Cool

Well that is still too much hashpower. Let's be open and honest about it. Individuals should be able to limit their hashpower voluntarily - nobody has an uncontrollable beast for a computer, surely?. Maybe the pools can do something about it, but it would be rather better not to waste the energy in the first place.

i am looking it this way how much hash average family have at home, 1 laptop 20-40 khash, 1 htpc 50-70 khash, 1 gaming/working machine 80 - 120 khash - that is roughly around 200 khash and if everyone who mines now stays below 200 khash we will be back to huge block rewards.
win win for everyone, now bigger miners are only getting bigger piece of a very tiny pie i dont get them you can get more magis mining on multipool with 2 gaming gpu-s than minning magi directly with 20 high end cpus.  Cheesy or you can get more magis by selling one high end xeon and buying magis with that money than minning with 20 xeons for almost a year at this nethashrate Cheesy

For those who missed it; an easy way to lay your hands on XMG 250 or more :

http://www.coinmagipuzzle.org/

1st prize: XMG 1,000
2nd prize: XMG 500
3rd to 10th prizes: XMG 250

1st and 2nd Time are probably hard to beat, but plenty opportunities to puzzle your way into the Top 10 and go for XMG 250 !

Hehehe, the 1st is me Smiley

XMG's value at https://bittrex.com/ is 11450 too, its nice, but the block value drop under 1 now, lol. I hope some big miners will reduce the hash this time  Grin

It was the darkest of times, the poor CPU miners huddled together warming each other with their dual core Intels as the dark forces of the Radeon GPU's rallied around gathering their forces for eminent attack.  It truly sucked to be us...

Well, it was fun while it lasted though perhaps it is not that big a problem if everyone feels like having an isolated GPU miner(s) with an unfair advantage won't fracture the community.

Just a few possibilities:
1. Change the algorithm again.
2. Limit the coin to PoS only.
3. Ignore the GPU miner(s) and hope they self limit to some degree
4. Put a cap in hash rate per IP address – effectively forcing PoW mining to solo.
5. Release GPU miner code to everyone and change the algorithm for the new network hash rate.

Any other ideas?

No we are not. Like I said before Magi will have some different options to change this. Remember Joe challenged people some time ago people to build that. To proof his unique blockreward system.
Result is that its working.

Is it correct that thè walletaddresses on the exchanges are not visible in the blockchain?
In that case I have some extra work regarding the Proof of Interest.
 Cool

I think this is a correct statement
Thanks for your respons.
This message is for those who sent their XMG exchange wallet for the Proof of Interest campaign.
Send me your own XMG walletaddress asap by PM!
One of the rules for the Proof in Interest campaign was: exchange walletaddresses are not allowed to join.
Thanks
I need to add a deadline for this!
Send correct walletaddress before April 13 2015 20:00 CET!!!

Remember this deadline!!!!
