The netcoind issue was resolved earlier btw and we have now finished the mac wallets... We're just working on the linx qt's at the mo and should have them up soon... Please make sure you upgrade before block 530000. New windows wallets are up and it fixed the slight bug with the themes not giving you a default on first run.

Other than that all is looking good. Looking forward to seeing how POS is running after the hard fork... If you go to debug->console and type in getinfo you should see the POW and POS difficulty. you will notice at present the POS difficulty follows the POW difficulty. It shouldn't do that. After the hard fork this issue should be fixed and it should run much smoother (as in more POS blocks created).

We'll continue to work away on it though and we have some big plans for the future Smiley

Don't forget to try out the stake for education feature...

All proceeds will go to NETUCATE... See details here...

Thanks guys enjoy... Smiley
Did you update the Windows link in the OP?  Because I re-downloaded it and the wallet still keeps crashing on startup for me, just like it did before, I can't get it to load.

The link has now been changed to the installer, you can try that... But if worst comes to the worst re-download the blockchain and that should solve your problem. Let us know how you get on.

Is there any benefit to including a NetCoin.conf file Huh

The older forums mentioned a conf file but there's only one mention in this forum and that's how to disable staking for pool operators.

Dev team:

please note that, at 'Wallets', 'Services', 'Exchanges', the middle option (NET/XRP),  has a pop-up message which refers to Bter/CNY.

Also, can you please replace Dr Nethead (the cartoon alien reptile) with Professor Nethead, a cartoon lookalike of Albert Einstein?

It would be a bit more adult.   Cool

Ahh...thanks for that!  We'll get it sorted out right away!  As for Einstein...we can see what to do for the next iteration

NON-MANDATORY WALLET UPDATE: Version 2.3.1 is available for download.

Windows (x32):http://netcoinfoundation.org/Netcoin-win32-2.3.1.zip
MAC (x64): http://netcoinfoundation.org/Netcoin-Qt-2.3.1-Mac.zip
LINUX (x32): http://netcoinfoundation.org/Netcoin-linux-x86.tar.gz

We’ve released the latest version of the NETCOIN Wallet (Old was 2.3.0, newest is 2.3.1) that fixed some minor bugs and glitches that snuck through our beta-testing. However, none of these bugs were critical, which is why this is not a “mandatory” upgrade (but, we wanted to let you all know several improvements were made):

Wallet Single Crash After System Reboot:
We noticed that after you rebooted your system, the wallet would crash the first time you tried to open. After that it would open fine, but, we sorted out what the problem was:
Netcoind did not crash, however, it was down to the positioning of the pow statistics timer (go figure). We moved its position and no more crash.

Stake For Education (S4E)

We noticed that there were some issues with the S4E features that were limiting it's functionality and ability to send coins.
It’s been fixed.

Hmmm good point, never thought of it to be honest, as a pool operator myself I just thought it was common knowledge (amoungst pool ops) I'll get that info added asap. Thanks for the heads up.

On a side note how are you all liking the new POS block times? It seems to be running really smooth so far. A vast improvement I feel, the whole chain is now running twice as fast (as it should have been originally) so very pleased with that. Smiley

We have a nice little treat in store soon too... Anyone here like poker? Multiplayer poker... Oh yes, it's coming real soon! I played a few hands last night and it's coming along really well. Can't wait to get stuck in there with you guys... It'll also be a nice way to meet the team as we'll be linking each table to a google hangout so you'll be able to come throw down some cards and have a chat. Smiley

Also net.coin-server.com is growing nicely. If you have sha256 and X11 hash you can now mine NET, or you can mine there directly with your scrypt rigs, just make sure to use the correct port. Smiley

More ideas are buzzing around and we'll always aim to improve. Smiley

I just noticed that there is a new wallet and needed an update,
my wallet is stuck on block 1014 sync left.

Will it catch up or do i need to delete the index file and let sync from the beginning?

Hi there, yeah I have had a couple have this issue and yes I would suggest either re-downloading the chain or I actually uploaded the blocks for someone else yesterday so you are welcome to grab them too to save some time.
