Yeah it is cool that this leak is a huge opportunity to improve the tech behind the coin, but the other side of the medal is that a coin which claimed to be truly private has been revealed to be not and its whole hidden blockchain has been deanonymized.

And this all happened before the market and before it is likely that even one sensitive transaction had been conducted.

Can someone provide the tl/dr of what happened.  i see people upset about losing money.  Was the anonymy broken? 


 It seems to me ifb it was broken, the crypto community did the right thing.  Beakable Tech will be broken, better now then later.  There is incentive for other dark coinsvto break the others.  For money, but that is this risk you accept when buying into a coin like this. 

Who are the players in the space?  Dash, Moreno, Cloak,.  Maybe a few others. If course they want to destroy each other and they should.  The strong will survive. 

I'm full disclosure cloak holder.  But want to know what happened here.

code: Shen of Monero research labs found a bug in the keyImages, we fixed it and paid out a bounty to him. We've got a fix but it will require a reindex to work, luckily PoSv3 requires one too so those will be released together..

Personally, there is cost.  My own time, effort and perseverance.  I would appreciate any donations.  A book called "Dogecoin - History of the First Year" is currently available.  ShadowCash will have a book published soon similar to that one.
