If you rearrange shadowcash you can spell "swash choda"...
I suppose "sash chowda" is better...

Loading the Android wallet- looks like it's syncing up to about 60K blocks left and freezing up. Good wifi connection. Normal, or do I need to do something with my phone?

Sorry if this has already been asked & answered, long topic! Can't wait to start staking!

Truth be told, Android wallet sucks in my opinion.

If you have it running in the background, it will probably have syncing issues.

I do believe the devs are going to redesign the wallet with a friendlier UI and using their SPV code for faster syncing and smaller blockchain. Can't wait for that.

It might be nice to have the whole thing living on a SD card. That way there would be less of a problem with blockchain size, and you could swap cards and move your wallet to a new phone. Maybe even trade the cards as a form of physical SDC.

mobile wallets are getting an upgrade once the zk comes out of public testing. No sense upgrading the mobile wallets without incorporating ZK into them.

Will ZK effectively end all competing privacy-centric altcoins (purely from an anon-tech standpoint)?

I guess what I am trying to ask is this:  Is ZK the holy-grail of anonymity?  And will it leave all other currently available anon-tech (such as DRK, XMR, XC, etc) obsolete, inferior, & nonsensical to use?

Yes. But other coins might not see it that way.

I'd recommend you to come on our channel #Shadowcash on IRC. Here you can ask all your questions and get a better explanation of what is the tech.

It's like asking a question, will cars replace horses with carriage and make them obsolete, inferior, & nonsensical to use? The answer will depent on when and whom you are asking, the owner of the cart or machine. Only time will tell, ZK is providing top tier defence, that means there is nothing better to look for, absolute might (or something close).

Exactly, and this is why snarks, when it replaces ring sigs will be epic because that will allow us to destroy the output! Basically if an exchange sends you coins you can then destroy the output and it will look like it got sent to no where. You can then send to someone and it will look like they just minted it.  Shocked ikr

You are very early actually (i know what you mean btw). The core isn't even finished yet and mainstream isn't using it. I argue that you are still early on bitcoin too. So, welcome, pull up a pew or find something to do Tongue Like maybe you could make a cool/er website for shadow.cash?

You don't need Java for Android, pure JavaScript is more than enough nowadays.
(And I can't recall a capable dev who likes Java btw.)
