Will you guys stop getting so offended by what other devs say?

He didn't come in here to start shit. He was asked by someone what he thought of our whitepaper and code. He gave his opinion. Stop attacking him.

I'd like to see a reasoned response to FluffyPony's criticisms by Ryno.

Really pathetic for Monero team to post in here, shows their desperation

Desperate times always call for desperate measures Roll Eyes
Indeed. Essentially that argument broke down into them saying that we are a grossly undervalued and more code efficient version of them.

I've been watching this coin and trying to decide whether to invest or not and the last few days of posts have proven to me what this coin is all about.

Unsubbed.

If you look at the timestamps, Fluffy pony made those comments before shadowsend v2 was open source...

Busted...

Fudders gonna fud...Great chance to snatch up more SDC at these levels Wink

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding Longenecker or everyone else is. My initial comments were made after reviewing 1 of the 2 commits to the "anon" branch, the 2nd commit didn't exist at the time. It would be impossible for me to have foreknowledge as to what would be contained in the commit, and any idiot can look at the first commit and also observe that it didn't contain generateRingSignature(), nor were the verification functions wired up. I'm certainly not "busted" or "fudding", and if that's anyone's takeaway from me making a clear observation then they need to seriously revisit that persecution complex of theirs.
It would have been possible to poke your head into IRC though if you had a question.

*edit* Also, are you really trying to advertise for Monero here?

I see nothing wrong with healthy debate about code. We can learn from each other. Its not all or nothing. Many of us have eggs in multiple baskets.

Diversification of thought and investment portfolios is a good thing as is constructive criticism

It's healthy, but the difference is that you bagholder of ANC, and still have not bought SDC

For what it's worth, I'm not sure bitcointalk's the right place to get an accurate view of what any project is really about.

I don't know what you just said but ANC has always been awesome to SDC.

Also, the fud escalated with the price Hueristic. It happens, I just wouldn't have expected anything other than "hey, i can prove it isn't anonymous" to be effective. Since no one has done that I will continue to hold SDC. Sorry to see your disdain. I would be willing to bet IRC would treat you better and provide answers to questions you might have.

No reason to hate monero, it's awesome. I heard they even have a wallet these days, it's running on browser or smth. And it's only like 2-3 years to go until the inflation is small enough so you can actually consider investing.

It's ok. I enjoyed reading this. Some people don't have a sense of humor or lack analytical reading skills to comprehend that this post wasn't insulting SDC in any way. How's Digibyte doing?  Tongue

Small Problem with the daemon

After seeing the new version was available from the 'anon' branch on Github, I compiled it and launched it. No issues whatsoever all was well.
While trying to sync the wallet from December 7th, it decided to fork. This is the second time this chain has forked on me. Full Daemon Version with messaging disabled.

There has to be a reason that the daemon is so prone to forking. It shouldn't happen just from trying to catch up after being three weeks behind.

lol - Ryno is literally the most South African name I know.

I know you are trying not to directly be a negative fudder but really think about your actions. If you do not see anything that is remarkable then why remark? Advertising.
