any updates on how the bot is doing?
They are trading okay no massive amounts of profit.
The arb bot has hit the MTGox withdraw roof hence the profit is slowing down as we can't move the capital.
I am considering doing a payout of the 400 BTC we have for now,
What's you guys opinions on that?
//DeaDTerra

I think it's better to use those for the arb bot when you can trade more, as you have about 7000 BTC to payout if I'm right?
That was the total portfolio worth at the time of shutdown of GLBSE, but is by no means guaranteed.
I think 7000 is a way over shot of what the current portfolio value is due to the GLBSE shutdown.

I think it would be good to have some more information about how the fund looks right now to make it possible to have an opinion about this.

From the "GBF Investor list"- you have deposits of 7214.143782198 from 72 investors. Is this correct?

The "GBF assets" list is clearly nonsense now as a result of the GLBSE debacle. But it still states:

GLBSE stock held:  4992.3865

Loans:  1210.034

Liquid savings USD:   150.78

Liquid savings BTC:   217.433

Total in BTC:   6876.77682526231

The final GBF Investment Fund Log book entry from 28/09/2012 gave the Total fund worth in BTC as 6876.776.

Obviously the GLBSE situation is still really unclear for everyone, but can you update how much GLBSE assets there were at the time of the freeze, and give your opinion about whether any of this might be recoverable.

Could you please give some kind of indication about how much is currently invested in the margin bots and arbitrage bot, and what kind of returns these are giving?

I have yet to update this because I have no information to go for, the update was from the day before the shut down if I remember correctly but trades could have gone through during the next day. Hence it's hard for me to puzzle together out complete portfolio. Same with the prices as there's no official open market it will be hard to put a price on the shares we hold, hence I have decided not to update the spreadsheet until I have more information.
My opinion is that about 50% should be recoverable if the Issuers honor their contracts and the shares we hold as well as if GLBSE honors their duty to share the asset informations with the issuers.
This is of course only a highly speculative number as it's impossible to tell what the free market price will be.

About 400 Bitcoins is currently spread out between the arb and the margin bots, they are not making that much money a couple of cents a day. It really depends on what the trading conditions are that day. As said for the arb bot, it's still in construction and right now we have reached a withdraw cap on MTGox which is being fixed Smiley
Though I doubt that within any reasonable time the arb bot/margin bots will be able to make up for the losses taken.

I would say let's do a payout.

I would prefer the funds be used in the bot as opposed to a payout.

400 is only about 5% of the total funds.  5% is surely not enough.

What are the chances of getting money back from GLBSE?  If liquidation is successful how many bitcoin totals do we have?

400 includes the liquid Bitcoins we got back from GLBSE, the rest are in loan/debt or as a majority in GLBSE assets of different kinds.
I think that it's possible to liquidate these assets without GLBSE as long as the issuers still honor their contracts.

Hard to say, as it depends on how the market looks after the GLBSE information has been released.

It was about 50/50 on if the investors wanted to keep the bitcoin in the bots until we get a bigger amount of liquid BTC or if you wanted a payout.
It's still up for discussion Smiley

My vote is for a small payout now.

I just went to the site, and hung my head when I was unable to sign in. I'm glad to see there's action being taken to get our Bitcoins back to us though. It's always good seeing the Bitcoin economy has good people.

Actually. I just realized I'm stupid. That was a separate thing that I did end up losing my bitcoins. Sorry about the mix up.

I can see how someone could easily get Gamma Malinvestment Fund and BitconMax mixed up.

Giving bitcoins to either one resulted in a total loss.   Cheesy
