Time to return to your regular programming which is already in progress! Back to the Bull Rush! EDIT: The new "half wall" is back up... If I had the resources I'd eat that up! I appreciate the opportunity to pick up more but the wall is impending growth and stopping momentum. Enough is enough! |

About miners dumping. The current daily emission is a bit over 7700/day. Almost every 15 min candle is way above that. During this last dump there was a 15min red candle of just under 200K and during the rise before it there were 2 green candles of >200K. Ofc having a higher % of mined coins being sold quickly will have some affect but I just don't think it's all that much. The other way to look at it is how many new coins/day does the market want? Does the addition of maybe 2K/day to be sold make much of a difference in the market now?
I started mining again with my super computer about 6 weeks ago because I smelled something in the air. At 35H/s I currently own 0.0001% of the network HR and have accrued 0.3 Monero. Doesn't sound like much but with this I have doubled my holdings.

Where can I see a log chart of the XMR price?
We've experienced an average 10% a day increase since August 22, when the boom really got started. But it would be nice to see it on a log chart. Linear charts just don't cut the mustard.

there was just a 777btc wall @0.01993179 and within a few seconds there were 27, 59 and 29 btc buys of it, and it was then very quickly pulled |

Yes he seems to like drinking (watched a couple of his vids). Anyway, he has written also here that he sees Monero having significiantly higher price tag than Bitcoin ever had and I think the odds for that are pretty significiant (hardly over 50 % but relatively high still IMO). Especially the current rise has shown it is possible to pump the price of Monero 1000% in a short period of time which is pretty encouraging to me. Why should the rise stop? I see no reason for stopping the rise. Let's keep on rising. As long as there are bids supporting the price we can go pretty much anywhere (and if someone sells it has to be punished by pumping the price even higher so that there will be no incentive to unnecessary dumps). |

Hardly. I don't agree with you. Why should it be so? hardly any currency in history does. Not many currencies last longer than 100 + years You are making the mistake of comparing Monero to currencies that have central authority. The currencies die because of hyperinflation when the central authority starts to print money big time at some point. Monero will never have hyperinflation. It is the ultimate save haven just like gold but in digital form, therefore the storing costs are lower and it is more convenient than any physical product (it is easier to carry a trezor full of Moneros than bricks of gold). |
