Landies and Gents, please be careful with your XMR! IF this pump follows the same shematics as the last one, i would sell my XMR now and buy back in way lower. Just look at the similarities from the last pump, only the timeframe and volume from this august-september pump is more intense.
Last Pump snip This Pump snip Minus one point for 'landies' Minus one point for 'shematics' Minus several points for calling market rises 'pumps'. Other than that your basic point 'markets go down as well as up' is valid. However, you fail to recognise that if you had bought in on Mar 26th (close to .004) you would now be sitting on profits of 500% and wouldn't have had to go through all the uncertainty of "when should I buy back". #1 I never complained about my missed profits, i made my profits. Please keep in mind that the BTC ATH was an artificial pump made by one person. #2 Real world use case? Well DNM's do offer their vendors to use XMR, but as i recognize there are not much customers using XMR by now? #3 As i said earlier, let's wait until the next weekend what the "market" is willing to pay for one XMR

Ive been doing altcointrading and lurking on here for 10 days or so now and just signed up. I've 145%'ed my initial investment so far. I'm new to this game and as such I'm all ears to any expert input. I particularly like Mcscrooge avatar guy and the vulture guy.
XMR looks to have established a new floor of .021, I don't see why the big boys wouldn't pump it to .03 by the end of the week since after every pump there are new bagholders who for instance won't sell at .0215 what they bought at .022. XMR is bullish because the floors keep going up. Watch the weekend's new floor be .025 after a .031 ceiling. I don't see the whales abandoning ship at least until Zcash comes out. This is my opinion, and I'll keep holding onto my bag for now.
Since I'm new to this game Id like to ask those of you who have been trading longer:
When do we get a "Coinbase" for XMR? What is a GUI, and what would it do for this coin?
I know Google is a thing but I like the back and forth better.

Message from LitePaid.com, the LiteBit.eu altcoins payment gateway plugin for webshops : "At this moment we are working on the accepment of Monero." So, soon, directly possible to pay with XMR on most modern webshops with this free plugin.

Z.Cash is a investor and exit-driven startup, that needs to earn money for it's investors and founders. US-based and dominated by their laws and goverment. They no have zero engineers with cryptocurrency backround or expierence, outside one of them being, being a so callled cryptocurrency enthusiast. Because they have no brain-power, references, proof of skills or proof of concept, they added a huge rooster of random mostly unknown scientists (with the exception of Green) and some known "paid advisers". The only input these advisers contributing to the project is providing there mugshots via eMail, for the photo on the website. The question is, if these advisers even know, this company exits and that they are advisers for them or were the adviser contracts booked directly at the personal assistent, secretary or media agencys. My guess would be, 2 of the 7 don't know they advise this great startup and 2 others of this list, don't know the product or general concept/idea. Plus, they show an embarrassing long list of investors providing 3000$ till 5000$ each, because they couldn't find some doing a bigger angel investment in there scam project. They already focus on marketing, because they know, their coin/tech sucks. I bet my life on it, that this Z.Cash will be a huge fail and absolutely zero competition to Monero.
Z.Cash is the opposite of Monero, if Monero fails because of Z.Cash, it would have died anyway.

I like mcscrooge and the vulture, but also the guy with the fear and loathing in las vegas cat I tend to agree that XMR establishes new floors, but still think/fear we will get a big correction sometime, just don't know when... Considering your questions: - I think XMR already has this: poloniex.com, litebit.eu, livecoin.net - a GUI is a graphical user interface. XMR had no official GUI yet, it seems that the GUI is ready now... it just needs to be released as an installable.exe for noobs like me... It would greatly improve the ease of use of XMR, cuz now the xmr-wallet is commandline... means typing in commando's and people tend to get uncomfortable when they can't just 'click&send'... wallet looks like this: http://imgur.com/gallery/HlC1ufor more info about xmr there's also the stack exchange http://monero.stackexchange.com/ with lots of questions and answers... XMR is only the third crypto (after BTC and ETH) with a stack exchange site...

Heavily premined coin
Calling a spade a spade I would say "premine scam". it's math is superior to Monero
Different. The anonymity set is larger (under ceteris paribus assumptions, which may not actually hold). But it has decades less peer review. Not superior. I admit that I'm worried it will affect Monero's recent rise.
Please worry me a wall.

So you're saying "Monero is a bubble"? that your basic point 'markets go down as well as up' is valid.
Not always. Some markets only go up. Mongolia was straight up for years. It is what happens to mispriced assets.

i suppose the recent BTC rally was mostly triggered by XMR exits
You got that precisely backwards. The BTC rally may be fiat currency flowing into Monero via BTC

Because folks mark in USD. They don't just market buy at funding time. They fund, and then trade on moves.

Just look at the similarities from the last pump, only the timeframe and volume from this august-september pump is more intense. Last Pump This Pump couldn't care less... even if you bought at the top of what you call the previous pump, you still made out like a bandit right now... and again, this is not your ordinary pump, monero has utility now... you seem to be the only one who doesn't get this... would you say that bitcoin reaching 600$ was a pump & dump? Sure, there were pumps, but all in all bitcoin is worth this much now because of utility... let's hope the same happens with monero, good luck trading it... I won't try it for sure best regards Monero has enough volume now that traders will start applying traditional TA to the price. Everyone who trades uses Fibonacci levels and Elliott Wave theory to help with entries and exits. Monero has now made three impulse waves up: Any seasoned trader would see the three impulse waves up and start thinking that it may be time for an ABC two wave correction. Usually an ABC correction goes down to the vicinity of the top of the first impulse wave in this case .01. Not always though. A 50% to 61.8% correction might be all that occurs. If price is in an extended wave 3 we could see a new ATH. The point is buying at this level carries more risk than normal. You can always wait for a down day on heavy volume to get a better price.

As long as nothing has happened to the fundamentals I would not sell. Just buy and hodl at any price now. The price doesn't really matter but the fact that there is demand for Moneros.

TA is very apt for a speculation thread. I find it comforting when many are predicting correction. It implies money on the sidelines.
Who is the "vulture" guy?
