Just bottom fished some coins. I hought I had enough of Moneros but apparently no... If one is greedy what can one do I guess... If one is greedy one could... be cautious? snip The terrible/great thing about crypto is that the cycle is accelerated: you could say crypto is the crack of investment. [edit] Anyway, its very quiet in here tonight...i guess everyone is trading (gents, what happened to buy and hold ) there's a right old ding dong around the .02 mark...classic bulls v bears. Market seems desperate to go up, whales seem desperate to keep it down - best let them go at it. I guess we could retest the next 4hour fib level at .0176 - hardly a disaster and may be a good correction technically - but it could just as easily retest the ATH. But very bullish just to see a great project getting so much volume and exposure. To me it looks more like shorters who need to cover.. At least over 100 000 XMR has disappeared from lending markets and pushed the interest rates to astronomical numbers. The current rate is around .09 -- didnt i see you were getting .1 or .2 recently?

Are there any apps of this kind in iOS AppStore? For bitcoin i happily use "Bitcoin Ticker", but can't find anything like that for XMR. For Android, I use Bitfolio. I haven't figured out how to erase dash and ripple from the interface, but I will. Ztrader has also price alarms.

Usually when the price rises the rates are higher because in dumps the shorters are able to cover with profit from the positions they have taken during the boom.

Well, I won't pretend to understand the dynamics of that description (cf 'dumb broad') -- I've asked Aminorex to explain in long words but he has gracefully declined thus far, and I don't blame him really. Anyway, I find lending is a good option -- it keeps some income ticking over and means there is no temptation to trade. I imagine a lot of moneroj are being lost by those who thought they could 'trade the volatility' right now.

The support at 0.019 is crazy strong... the price looks like it's repeatedly trying to ram past ATH. Got back in at 0.0206 against my own judgement (fomo?)... lets see what happens
its going to be tough to put it back at 0.026. things looks messy at the moment. the 50k xmr whale got pissed everybody was taking a chunk of his show off balance, he crashed the price. also i believe he was taking loans. everytime he comes showing off, the loan section is busy. but still, even at 0.020 seems little support. and after each dump support becomes less Yup I messed up.... not feeling good about the 0.0206 re-entry at all. If I bought now I could've had a few hundred more XMR. But I think this could be the start of a pretty big correction. When you see so many permabulls like we have ITT that should be a good sign. Fomo got me again

Big volume on Polo. Some BTC maximalist cashing out, some XMR bull whale buying.. Shorts adding volatility.. Price on hold at 190. Seller build a containment growing wall from 193 to 203. Selling bots do not allow to place a sell order, the bot places a bigger one in-front...
much much manipulation scaring people to sell... Long Live Monero..

(gents, what happened to buy and hold ) Raises hand. Unfortunately I'm dealing with bigger problems than a ~15% drop from 220 Most of the thread is buy and hold is my guess. It's just the traders who have to condition peoples minds by repeatedly posting financial advice. I think many have learnt not to fall for it, but XMR has a 2 year history of bears winning all of the battles. This one seems no different.

My only caveat is I still personally like to talk about the price speculation. That's why this thread, right?

My XMR is 95% cold storage, but I try to keep the rest of my crypto roughly balanced between BTC and XMR, and conservatively make market or rarely speculate in a small way.
I was trying to resolve to refrain from the market, to save time for other endeavours, but the movements were so attractive... speculation is a bad habit - when reinforced by occasional rewards it is like mental crack.
I have pretty well given up on restricting myself to a fixed maximum share of market cap. It's so much easier to distribute coins than it is to acquire them... Why worry about distribution?
Anyhow I think the demand energy is close to breaking out. Can it wait until Friday this week? I am beginning to doubt it. It's only showing up in deep book bids right now, but the spring is coiling... When bear talk begins to dominate, in a long-term accumulating market, it can't be long before an impulsive move.
