Looks like the Rise of the Premines out there. There are now more premined coins in the top 20 than ones fairly distributed such as Monero.

thats indeed really sad. I still believe this will recover one day but now its just a pumping game... i wonder how this all will end up... Like this it can take some time
for monero to truely rise and show its potential  ( price wise ... )

It's a disgusting commentary on the state of play. It makes me fucking sick.

It's actually made me rethink crypto in its entirety.

I don't doubt we will see Monero at 3KUSD within 2 years. BUT it will probably be number 73 on mcap.

Sadly I think Monero needs a marketing team.

Its not only pumps, but it’s frustrating that a lot of people don’t see Monero...
and I agree, a marketing team would not be a bad idea... Monero has a lot of competition
Even there is no real competition...

You do realize that coinhive miners and botnets gave Monero cover stories on Bloomberg, CNBC and Forbes? And that there are hedge fund managers talking about Monero on financial media? The people with money, and who understand the value of a digital cash, are well aware of Monero--at least those who are invested in cryptocurrencies. So not sure what kind of marketing you guys want?

For the regular person like u And me that want to invest in crypto. These people invest in shot coins because they see hundreds of advertisements on Facebook etc... the advertisement we don’t have.

So you want Monero to be more like shitcoins?

Am I the only one who likes not having to deal with people who can't operate a CLI and need to be handheld through basic tasks or who freak out when they read concern trolling?

That’s not what I meant and I’m long enough in this threat... but why can’t we advertise on Facebook for example? Is it that bad for Monero?

It's FOSS--if you want to advertise on facebook, go advertise on facebook.

But count me out.  And I'd definitely be leery if the devs started supporting this kind of advertising campaign.

YES! We need more pumps like these https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@tincho/monero-scam-newbie-in-the-world-of-cryptocurrencies-true-story
Should announce that Monero is integrating tor for superduper anonymity, then watch the market cap raise

Bitches who think Monero should pump like a shitcoin have no perspective.
Do you think Monero is doomed because right this moment it isn't pumping like Harvey Weinstein on top of a starlet?

I checked Binance to see what Monero was doing.  it was their 64th most traded coin. 64th!  And WTF is a Tron?  You have to be kidding me.

The thing is though, that all this shit just eats away at bitcoin's market share.  None of it competes with Monero.  We can just carry on at our average pace of 30x increase every year, and in a startlingly short time, see them all from the top.

Once hardware wallets are distributed, I think we'll be seeing new buyers, and a lot of coins leaving the exchanges.  I'm betting the price goes up.  Until recently, I was luke warm on hardware wallets.  Then I did some shuffling of old paper wallets, and tried to help a few people secure their new crypto.  I'm tellin' ya, they'd rather not.  Period.  It's frustrating as hell, but there is that simple answer.  Hardware wallet to the rescue.  They can't come too soon!
