The stupidity of the unwashed masses always amazes me... The only DNMs that would start accepting Verge are the ones started up by LE agencies! Please, start your own market and only accept Verge!!! We will be seeing your name in the news rather quickly in that case! Actually, I think you know that already and this is simply all about manipulation of the new money that doesn't know any better. I don't know who put this together but I think it's interesting... Don't you? http://xvg.keff.org/That is really interesting, but i'm pretty sure those are non-wraith transactions, which are supposed to be public. Ehm, Wraith has nothing to do with ip-obfuscation, it's supposed to be about stealth-adresses, like addresses on the blockchain, not ip-adresses... Yeah, now I surely believe xmr is losing terrain... thanks, I actually feel a lot better now good luck, you'll need it ;-)

Troll species going extinct here or what? Getting nervous a little. Step up please, I want to see that troll strength index increase, so I could expect another price jump. Walonek where you at bro???
Troll behavior is meant to take advantage of your emotions. There's not nearly enough fear right now for them to capitalize on. However, when the price falls below 50% of the ATH, the noise will start to increase. In a way, trolls are a representation of our inner uncertainty, which grows stronger as external reinforcement declines (deep, isn't it?).

One you have seen the cycle a few times it is kind of uncanny. Early on I would attribute this to paranoia or confirmation bias. But like I said... watch the pattern enough times and it becomes pretty obvious.

all of those damn people fighting against each other lmao.
common, Monero is obviously the leader in anonimity, and cryptography, you did argue that TOR linked cryptos such as ONION or VERGE could surpass, but there is still a long way to go
although i invested both in ONION and Monero, i believe anonymous currencies are the future and the next big money maker.
even though i monitor other anonymous coins, my main focus still is monero.
Monero at 10k is not a fantasy. especially when governments start to push back all free markets from classical public cryptos.

In future it is going to grow a lot.The Most stable coin with maximum privacy among all the cryptos. I'm backing it and gonna HODL it. Also plenty useful information about monero on reddit, quality discourse of the technology.

Thinking of buying more XMR since it looks like it's gonna dip (again). But I want a better deal this time rather than being careless about it. So I need some opinions, hopefully not biased... Should I buy on March when the scheduled hard fork could dip the price deeper or should I buy at the current range?
I'm thinking about waiting til March... But what do you guys think?
Has a HF ever resulted in a dip? I'm not sure, but I don't think it has. Monero HF's aren't to be confused with the fear and uncertainty that occurs over in BTC land. I was just thinking the same thing.... The language sounds scary, hard fork. Maybe we should call it the annual easy fork or something. Oooo annual feature review Protocol Upgrade. As I've mentioned in the past it should be refereed to as a "scheduled Update" or something similar. Yea i doubt that very much. Wishful thinking in light of knowing better. The competition for monero is rising very rapidly, both in community and technology. It's fair to say that now Wraith is active on Verge, it has technically surpassed Monero. And they already had a much bigger community behind them. And then we have Spectre being technically similar but going environmentally friendly with PoS. Tbh i can only see Monero go down from here, probably back to around 0.008-0.012 btc levels.
Yea yea, i know you're all going to hate on me now and say they are shitcoins. Try bringing some solid arguments this time instead of just brainless bashing.
Yup, you really should short this shitcoin.

The fact that we have healthy enough governance to routinely hard fork is amiable. We should pronounce it proudly. Call it a routine hard fork.

I don't even know why what the big deal is with those coins. You can run Bitcoin and Monero through Tor, am I missing something?

I don't even know why what the big deal is with those coins. You can run Bitcoin and Monero through Tor, am I missing something? You are missing moon logic. Moon logic states that the lower the market cap, the more easily a coin can grow and claims of "Best Privet Coin Ever!" are always true and developers would never lie or exagerate.

But like I said... watch the pattern enough times and it becomes pretty obvious. Can confirm my independent observation of this pattern. Not only in XMR; I knew ADA was about to moon very hard because of everyone (including people like coblee, who should know better than to FUD a possible replacement for PoW) screeching about how "overpriced" and "hyped" it was. The cries of "zomg overpriced" were just sublimated self-hatred for being too lazy to watch the Ouroboros video and thereby missing the boat. Same with XMR. The whiners and trolls are simply self-identifying losers who can't comprehend the concept of fungibility (or grokked the Monero ethos too late for Massive Gainz). Can't wait to see what Kovri will do for XMR's status in the Bestestest Privuhsee Coyn EVUR circles!

Can't wait to see what Kovri will do for XMR's status in the Bestestest Privuhsee Coyn EVUR circles! I am willing to foretell this. Kovri will handily extend Monero's position as the leading privacy coin. This will do good things for our image, press, utility, and ultimately value. But in the circles you mention? We will hear cries of "Too little too late", "We already had this", "The Monero community are a bunch of bullies". And so on. It's the cross you bear when you are #1.

You just need to adjust your parameters. Look for established pattern of development and growth. There's probably not more than 5 with serious intent. And of course only one has a Monero Research Lab, and community funding. Speaking of, rehrar needs some love: https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required/89677/rehrar-s-2018-q1-kovri-proposalWhy don't we have a QR code on the page to make this easier?
