So we can kiss 2nd gen goodbye? ;(

Not necessarily... Maybe in the short term but 2nd gen can be developed on top of our current block chain just as it is being done for bitcoin!! Lets get some basic features in place first... Walk before we run and such... This has always been a long term investment and we are only just over 2 months old... We need to restructure, re-organize, regroup, and then move forward!! Patience my friend... All good things to those who wait!!

Cheers,

Ghosty

Wait.. What..?

Bitcoin is going 2nd gen too? :O

I will work on a prioritized list suggesting how to proceed in an orderly manner. Give me some time to scribble on my wall and think. I expect to post it within a couple-few hours.

I appreciate the trust extended when you nominated me. It is a task that requires responsibility. Openness is very important, especially right now.

He is open to everything that has been suggested... We need to tackle this in priority and take it a slow... We need to figure out who will be on the committee first and foremost... Then create a list of tasks in order of priority... Vic maybe you could do that for us... A step by step short term roadmap to follow...

...

Cheers,

Ghosty

P.S. Thanks for accepting the nomination Vic... As far as I am concerned I am absolutely in agreement with the openness and transparency of communications and the wallets etc... It's the only  way I will also be involved... No more secrets!!

@Hamuki
Don't be so quick to assume that is the case. Several people are already interested and actively working on preserving LTCD and Gen 2 for LTCD.

So we can kiss 2nd gen goodbye? ;(

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

ok vicvelcro in 8 hour i will be here , is time to stop for my day.
but initially making an asset with nxt or in counterparty for the
funds of LTCD would be the most effective way to make a real FUND
for backing LTCD development
or at least as a multisig the bounty have to be paid in BTC and possibly with a XAPO wallet !!!!!!
no mooooore dumped coin i can't take anymore of premine and dump.

reality ? you fell to Scammers after being in an ICO , IPO
(more like any other stock and index in the world ICO or not got your portfolio down 25 % or 85 %)
Now  SEC is helping you getting back up your lost money maybe....

I think VicVelcro would be a good choice for the dev team and to hold the funds... So I nominate him!! We need to quickly sort out who will be on the team... Anyone interested please post your intentions!!

I'm fine with that

I will accept the nomination but with a provision that there never be any objection to posting general inbound/outbound transfer information. I would also like the wallet to be multisig.

What I mean is - Any funds received will be posted with TXIDs and any funds spent will be posted with TXIDs at the very minimum. Also that there never be any question regarding the fact that it would be impossible for ME or any other INDIVIDUAL to conduct a transaction independently.

If the funds will be LTCD, I understand that there is no current ability to support multisig. I still accept the nomination if the inbound/outbound TXID stipulation is acceptable.

If the funds will be in any other crypto that does support multisig, I strongly urge people to agree that multisig be a requirment.

P.S. We need the wallet addresses for POS and whatever else we are funding... I suggest a general donation wallet be started as well...  Who will be holding the funds? I think VicVelcro would be a good choice for the dev team and to hold the funds... So I nominate him!! We need to quickly sort out who will be on the team... Anyone interested please post your intentions!!

I'm fine with that too.

Once the wallet is settled I will transfer my btc. If there will be something left after POS we can spend it for so other developments

What about to implement withdrawal fee for instance 0.5%? I guess we are on 0 now. That amount could be used to pay developers, and etc. Maybe not popular but but lets say fee will be for 1 year period. Of course to be transparent. I would not mind if it is even more.

LTCD - MOVING FORWARD

I submit my suggestion for an immediate (or nearly immediate) to-do list for LTCD before taking any other actions.

Please consider this to be a reasonably well thought out SUGGESTION. I've spent a few hours putting it together and referring back to earlier posts in the thread to account for as many things as was possible for me in a short time frame.

First - an interrim committe should be selected for making decisions in the short-term. I suggest the temporary committee should expire on or before Jan 18, 2015. Responsibilities of the interrim committe with be described below. A permanent committee should be chosen by or before the expiration of the interrim committee. Selection of a permanent committee prior to the expiration of the interrim committee would cause the immediate expiration of the interrim committee. Committee to be composed of an odd number of members to prevent a deadlock due to a tie-vote condition. Members of the committee could be persons responsible for sub-tasks and vice-versa.

Now, please review my opinion of the TEN most important things that need to be resolved before proceeding on to anything else.

01.  Determine sub-tasks and delegate who will be responsible for supervision of each sub-task - examples would be PR person, BCT forum topic admin, wallet holder or wallet holders, wallet signers, website admin, any and all other sub-tasks which may arise as LTCD development progresses.

02.  Determine what cryptocurrency will be used for dev funds and what cryptocurrency will be used for bounties/rewards.

03.  Determine who will be responsible for checking the wallet addresses on a scheduled basis, to verify that the proper and expected balances are present. Daily? Weekly? Monthly?

04.  Determine how fund storage will be managed. How much in a live wallet? How much in a cold wallet on USB? How much in paper wallet? Who will possess 2nd and 3rd copies of these wallets?

05.  Determine how to unseat a committee member if the need arise and define the circumstances which might bring about the necessity to do so.

06.  Determine who will be the designated person for posting Official Announcements. It could be the PR manager/coordinator. To avoid confusion, I do believe only ONE or possibly TWO people should be designated for this purpose. It does get confusing to see 5 or more ANNOUNCEMENTS by different people in the same day. One person or two persons being the mouthpiece for the committee would be beneficial.

07.  Start a new topic on BCT for LTCD. Link back to this topic for historical purposes. Appoint an admin for the new thread and a backup admin (solely to replace the acting admin if necessary) that has no admin authority unless and until the primary admin is resigned or unseated or in the event of primary admin personal emergency. Choose more than one moderator to assist the admin.

08.  Determine who will keep copies of code progress, who is responsible for git, who is responsible for blockchain. Choose secondaries to replace the primaries in time of unexpected need.

09.  Once the previous items have been decided - Determine priority of what features will be updated for LTCD. Examples would be (but not limited to) POS, multisig, encrypted messaging, stealth addresses.

10.  Choose a means for the committee and the sub-task managers to communicate routine progress so that mundane internal discussion does not flood the main BCT topic. Make this back channel available to spectators but restrict posting rights solely to committee members and sub-task managers and temporarily elevated rights to spectators who might have something immediately relevant (then de-elevate them).

Perfect.

As proof that my earlier post has not been and will not be edited, the included google drive link has been confirmed as functioning. Anyone is welcome to obtain a copy of that and keep it on their local machine. I intend to leave that document at that location until such time as it becomes obsolete or Google crumbles to the ground.

I missed this post earlier.

I recognize and nominate Alec Kloss (aleckloss) to be one of the responsible signers of the wallet containing dev funds.

I'd agree to hold a sig for part of the dev team

ok it has do be done , is all right with me
i surely will see that an automated control will alert
the forum of any change right to the minute and i intend like alertco.in on the real minute
the wallet used for funds make any change , if obviously the blockchain
is working.

ok premiated members i have a good news and i'm trying to know how to implement this :

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/scotcoin-migrates-altcoin-counterparty-digital-asset/

with LTCD you can thank me later folks.

And sideCHAIN it is then !

ok so Robbert has some Mil of LTCD at 800 sat ok you are an investor
i want to fill you in the news as anyone else interested
We as community , are making a bounty in BTC to implement pos in LTCD wallet
i'm discussing with other investor that there is a possibility to
make this coin like counterparty , so directly a part of the BTC chain !!!
if you want to contribute pm me.
Thanks for your time.

I really like this idea to get involved with counterparty... If everyone is in agreement we would just need a dev who can implement it!!
