@bassieflup

You might want to edit your post, so people don't get confused.

Put quote marks around the first paragraph of your reply.

Like this:

Like vic said to whatshername - "To be honest: Most of your post is crap, in my opinion. It seems you have fabricated your own significance on everything in a manner that facilitates your bad-mouthing which seriously looks like FUD. If this is incorrect on my part, I suggest you do a better job composing your words in the future. You make insults, putdowns, have what appears to be a juvenile level of intellect applied to your own thoughts, and you employ general misdirection technique. Fix it or move along elsewhere. If you fix it, I will consider your opinions to be more valid and relevant."

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

So many things to address here.  As I cannot speak for anyone other than myself, I will only address questions that I can answer objectively.

(Also note, I realize I am quoting a post made by the new lead developer, but I am primarily addressing the same questions he addressed and only where it will add to the discussion.)

Quote
Will the 2nd gen whitepaper be released so we know what we would have been waiting for since the beginning? Seriously i want to know.

When it is available to me, I will look it over. If Troll has no objection and if I find no faults with it, I will make it available.

We're not talking about some short 5-10 page document.  We're talking about a 50+ page technical specification.  I have no objections to making it available, but it will go through official channels and I will not release it directly to the public.  That responsibility will lie in the hands of the new development team who will have the final say-so regarding its validity and weight.

Quote
I'm just wondering why he can't implement/improve/continue Trolls work, why do they need another dev to implement stuff, for example the stealth/POS/anon msg'ing and now prolly the 2.0 stuff.
Unless i'm completly overlooking something?

Trolls work may be significantly different than what was originally done. The need for another DEV is due to the resignation of the previous team. Without them, there is nobody to make decisions or do anything at all. The new team is necessary for the continuance of the project.

Yes, my work is significantly different from anything appearing in the currently available source tree, and until the new dev team has a chance to look over the Gen 2 whitepaper, the extents of these differences aren't known by anyone other than myself.  This would make it extremely difficult for someone else to implement.  This is the main reason I am still volunteering access to the gen 2 paper.

Quote
Last I heard was that we had a Dev that was trying to, but wasn't familiar with the 2.0, Think that when Trollbyfire announ that he was willing to help and clean up code and help new dev with 2.0. Just going by what I saw on the forum. Vic maybe able to answer question better, but I think he was up late working on the project. He's been real good about answering question, sure he be in soon.

It does seem that the work done by Troll was so much different that the previous coder was out of his element to some extent. There was a post in which Troll did mention possibly being willing to consult and/or assist. I do not have the post in front of me, so I may not be perfectly accurate at this time.

Indeed, I am willing to assist as much as my time will allow, even if only on a consulting basis.  That said, my time is increasingly short as of late.

Quote
If Troll had a problem working with Robbert developing 2.0 then why can't he re-join the new dev team since they have replaced him?

You would need to ask Troll. I suggest a PM and not a public call-out. He might be offended if he felt confronted.

To the contrary, I feel no offense at the issue whatsoever.  My reasons for leaving the team were not due to issues with other members.  As stated in this thread, I have had personal issues as well as time constraints with my day job(s) that have required me to focus my attention elsewhere.

Quote
Vic Velcro is far more responsive as is bad bit operated boy. Couldn't Troll try with them instead?

We are trying to be as available and aware as possible. Troll would be welcome to contact me if and when he feels the desire to do so.

I would not be opposed to this, however, I do have a lot of things in my day-to-day life which are the priority at the moment, and I do not feel that it is in the best interests of the LTCD community to needlessly wait for updates while I get my affairs in order.  In the meantime, I feel that LTCD's codebase and community are in more than capable hands with the new team.

Quote
And if 2.0 is so ground-breaking, why would he just pass his unique idea onto someone else take over?

Maybe he's a nice guy. Maybe he wouldn't pass it on. Only he can say.

This question seems to me that someone never understood (no matter how many times I reiterated) that I was never in this for money.  I was in it to advance the tech.  I don't see why I alone should be the benefactor.  Redesigning the architecture is still one of my goals, but my priorities lie elsewhere at the moment, and I feel this team is, again, more than capable of implementing my architecture given access to the proper documentation.

Quote
Once upon a time I thought there was something happening with this community, and I didn't realize TrollByFire was hired help

That was your own error. Don't pass the responsibility for your own lack of intellectual ability on to somebody else.

This statement is a bit of an inaccuracy.  I was never "hired help".  I was always a volunteer.  I was never paid for my work and never asked for compensation of any kind  (aside from the original bounty for a linux wallet which was never received.)  If you go back and re-read the first few pages of this thread, you can see the story of how I joined unfold for yourself.

Quote
Any news on 2.0 in a official matter?
And how will we get back on track? (Get more community members, get investors and other good stuff)

No news to announce today. But there will be news soon. I have 2.0 at the front of my mind and consider it to be a priority.
Plans for how to get back on track are currently being scribbled on a white-board and are in progress of being sorted. Too soon to post specifics, but there will be no delay when it *IS* time to post.

The new team has this well in hand.  I have their contact information and will make contact as soon as I have something to give them.  I cannot be rushed in the matter, but I have not given up on LTCD, the 2.0 architecture, or the community in general.  And I certainly have faith in the new dev team to have both the skills needed as well as the time required to make advancement a reality.

Your recent contributions have been empty, useless, and irrelevant.

Get yourself straight, or you will be ignored.

no going to requote vicvelcro's huge 100% content-free wall of excuses, "yeah buts" and reiterations. Vic, you put an admirable amount of effort into saying nothing. Enjoy the brownie points that got you with the rest of the HODLers, they will fade fast.

Go ahead and get all the hopeful bagholders to come to your side, I know this will end with me being called a troll, fudster,  etc.  See also:  every single other shitcoin board when the emperor is shown to have no clothes.  It won't help your price.

Only progress - not gaseous talk about maybe progress -  but actual progress, will help.    And nobody involved with this coin has the chops to accomplish that. Anyone who does is already busy working on non-joke coins with actual futures.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I will clarify one point that you misunderstood, understandably since you have your FUD glasses on when reading my post and cannot see anything that doesn't look like FUD to you.

The whitepaper marketing scam is not referring to the supposed whitepaper coming out for *this* coin.  It refers to the overall altcoin gimmick of writing up a "whitepaper"  that 2 or 3 people will read,  everyone else will say they read,  and if examined by a serious reviewer, would fall apart halfway through anyway.

They are a special kind of marketing gimmick for people who like to tell themselves they are not investing in a straight up casino game, but something that has "a whitepaper" and therefore is legit.

This is not at all unique to LiteCoinDark, but it's all the more comical when applied to it.

I don't care how you were compensated, the point of that comment was that you were not the original dev, but someone brought on to help after the fact because the original "dev" found out that there's a lot more to making a new coin than forking some other shitcoin and changing a logo.

I frankly have no idea if you are competent or not at this point, but as you seem to be neutral and possibly also wise enough to back out of this circus I don't have any beef with you at all.

You still haven't got yourself straight and you have no facts. You only make false statements and post propaganda. I will not continue to give you a soapbox.

You are now on my ignore list. PM me when you have something of genuine substance, then I will un-ignore you.

I suggest and invite everyone else to ignore @mikeymillie and do not make any replies to her. She will dry up and blow away eventually.

Ms. MikeyMillie - Are you part of this P&D team?

Well, you failed to do so. You didn't clarify anything. Absent! - I will clarify one point that you misunderstood

... this is what you can leave out as it is does not support your point... I do not need or use "FUD glasses". You are quite prominently waving your own FUD Flag and doing it with such FURY that I am certain everyone sees it quite clearly. - understandably since you have your FUD glasses on when reading my post and cannot see anything that doesn't look like FUD to you.

You don't have the whitepaper. Referring to anything 'whitepaper' is false and misdirection. - The whitepaper marketing scam is not referring to the supposed whitepaper coming out for *this* coin.  It refers to the overall altcoin gimmick of writing up a "whitepaper"  that 2 or 3 people will read,  everyone else will say they read,  and if examined by a serious reviewer, would fall apart halfway through anyway.

You haven't made any point here. Just spewing propaganda that is authored by you and very weakly done. Again, there is no whitepaper in your possession, or anyone else's. - They are a special kind of marketing gimmick for people who like to tell themselves they are not investing in a straight up casino game, but something that has "a whitepaper" and therefore is legit.

You are probably very cute when you are angry, like now. Can I buy you a drink? Do you kiss on the first date?

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Ignore me all you like, this isn't a popularity contest.

You know exactly what I meant above, now you are choosing to deliberately pretend you don't.

Simple Explain Like You're Five version:   Whitepapers are marketing gags, that is their role in the altcoin world.  LiteCoinDark is no different.

Hehe not me, nice try though.   That post actually made my browser lock up, I can't even look at it let alone create it.

Good thing you had the idiotic lack of common sense to quote it, making it twice as bad. *** update,  good job clipping the text back out of the quote, but "Cunt" negated that.

And ... since you can't see this you can't respond to it, brilliant moves all around Vic!

FYI  i reported "cunt"  to moderator.

Ok so if i understand correctly, gen 2.0 will be completed and be implemented into ltcd.
No doubts about that right?
I do not care about the timeframe but the result.
I just want to see Trolls creation come alive

I can't say with certainty. I am evaluating the possibility. I haven't discovered anything prohibitive yet.
If it can be done, I intend to see it happen.

yes, I agree with you there.
And I'm very happy to see Troll is still in the team.
Even tho its low priority to him, important thing here is that he is still part of it.
I don't want to come across as being pushy or spread FUD of any kind.

I hope some of you have learned a valuable lesson here.

For the old bagholding investors: You can still dump a bit while there is buy support. I'm telling you right now unless there is some legit development within the next 7-10 days, expect what buy support there is to be gone. The risk is too high and remember to not get burned by the same flame twice.

For the newbies wanting to get in: Wait. As before, all the stuff going on now is all just talk. 'Vaporware'. Risk-management. Safer to have everything confirmed and buy in at a slightly higher price than jump in now thinking this is 'low' and watch the price tank to 50 sats. The alt market volume is hanging by a thread atm and there are only a few worthwhile alts that can still generate decent ROI. LTCD isnt one of them. Risk-Reward ratio is too high.

FWIW, good luck to the LTCD community and good job for those who jumped out at above 1000 satoshis who knew this whole coin started with the sole purpose of jumping the 'BitcoinDARK' bandwagon. The second red flag to jump-ship was during the video competition. Insta-dump to anyone who didn't yet.

Not sure where you read into I thought you were doing it for the money. I was thinking more why come up with something ground-breaking then pass it onto someone to claim all the credit for the completion. Especially if it works out well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you are doing that and its very generous. Just puzzled me.

I sincerely hope this is true. Still hold my 100K, hoping the DEV's won't let the community down. First alt I believed and invested in Smiley

We'll see, hope the skill and time is available!
