i am a new user

after Sign up an account

what is the next step ?

First is send funds to your wallet. Then go to the market and buy a few GHS. Or maybe buy a whole miner in the "buy" tab.

i will use my hardware in HASHNEST ?

Here is a picture how to get to the market:

The minimum is 1GHS

To use your own hardware use antpool. It's a pool that's related to hashnest. www.antpool.com

1.    If due to falling bitcoin exchange rate or increase in mining difficulty, the electricity fee is greater than 90% of mining revenues, mining contracts on Hashnest will enter a “redemption waiting period”.

2.    As we do our best to keep mining contracts profitable, during this waiting period, revenues will be paid out according to the PPS method.

During this time HASHNEST will halt trading on the GH/s exchange, hasrate transfers and cancel any unfulfilled orders.

so they gonna pause  trading at 90%  that sucks now we gotta dump earlier.

Hi Dance

There is a point that you aren't take into consideration, you could sell your hash at any moment, so even with GHS prices falling if they take more than 254 days to reach 0 you will have that sell as an earning.

Depending of difficulty increase, BTC prices and so on you could made profit.

Agree with you that is too risky with S4 at current prices but isn't impossible

Actually I've had put some buy orders that trigger with half prices and already traded some S3 hash with very good profit
^This^
Not everyone has a buy and hold mentality, they play it on a day to day basis based on daily yield, and then trading back on the market.

I agree it may not be the best investment in the long run, but there are ways to speculate, and still make profit.  Although with BTC prices staying around this $230 level, and the difficulty rising faster those windows are closing on the S3 and S4 in Hashnest.

I agree on the trading aspect, I have done pretty good trading them and have been very happy.  Using their API, I had built a bot that made money a very high percentage of the time, that has work out great.  However, I don't trade the EOL miners, I was really specifically referring to only those EOL guys (S4/S3).

Trading the EOL miners, it is really dangerous.  Low liquidity and a quickly sinking ship that puts way to much downward pressure on the price.  The price just isn't stable enough on those EOL guys.  Since there is no way to short them, trading the EOL miners takes more guts than I have!

Like I said before, if there was only a way to short those EOL miners.  Man, that is the way to go!!!  I have even given some thought to building an exchange, just so I could short the EOL miners hehehehe...

The miners that still have some life on them (S5/S7), trading them I think is great.  Just be careful when they get EOL...

Thanks for engaging my question guys. I wish someone could really explain the price to me, but there is not really any valid explanation for the current value (if people were *only* trading them then I imagine they would be trading at a much lower value as the people that are buying them and holding them are the ones pushing up the price).  There must be some other thing going on, such as where people paid a high price for them so they are not willing to sell at anything other than a higher price.  What makes no sense to me is I would rather loose just part of my investment (and sell them at a lower price) than hold out for a high price (and in the end loose almost all of my investment).  Or maybe people just buy them and forget about selling them, I don't know...

Overall, investing (and specifically trading) the newer hardware is great.  Those EOL ones just have such limited legs on them that they should be about 1/5 of the current price.  Well, I imagine over the next 30 days the price will drop in half (.0002 range), 30 days later they will be in the .0001 range, etc...  However none of those prices will make any sense at those times.  The miners will just get turned off in a bit and the people holding them at that time will get nothing for them.

Dude relax, did you check your transactions page?  It should show your earnings from each block go in and fees taken out.  You might not have had enough hashes in that block to warrant a payout either.  Please do some more research on how hashnest works and what buying GH/s actually means, otherwise I fear you will be here just complaining because you didn't fully understand what you bought and lost money because of it.

I've created an excel spreadsheet to analyze hashnest investing, it's not a big thing but helps, originally was for my own use, but now I've created an slack group and uploaded it there.

The sheet grab info from public pages like AntPool, Bitstamp and Alloscomp. But hashnest information must be exported by you as excel and copy pasted into it.
I know that could be grabbed with the API directly but still does not have the skills for that and also many people could be worried about their account security, so I choose to use this way.

Please join to the group and test it. I'm open to suggestions for improvements

https://hashnestminersgroup.slack.com

If you don't have an slack account just ask me and I will sent invites. (Could create a mail for that specific case if you have concerns about providing your mail)

Thanks a good luck

In about 21 hours the S3 will be underwater, yet they are trading at 0.00018.  I wouldn't pay 0.000001 (which is less than 1% of the current price).

I know people might not understand how things work, but this is an EOL (end of life) miner.  It will be worth nothing in 21 hours (the next difficulty change).

People need to sell their S3s now.  Get something for them now or nothing for them later.

I am all for buying shares of the right thing at the right time.  From about Feb through about a month ago, if you owned any just about anything at HashNest you did great.  The thing is those prices should have been ticking down over that time and since they didn't, they have a lot of value to loose very quickly in the end.

I am just trying to bring all of this up for discussion.  However, you are right, people sometimes don't want to listen.  It is just really shocking to me how mispriced those EOL guys are...  I really can't wrap my head around it...

Its actually very simple, look at the Hashnest forums after the S2 and UMISOO entered redemption period.  It was chalk full of people who were mad at the assets closing down because they bought without fully understanding how the asset works.  Same thing is going on again.  You get a bunch of people who either can't or won't do math, and they lose money because of it, only to come on once the asset goes away and complain and blame Bitmain instead of accepting responsibility for not researching enough and buying blindly.

EDIT:  Combine that with the fact that probably the majority of the asset holders on Hashnest are more than likely inexperienced traders (no idea how stock markets work and under the age of 21), and it is a recipe for disaster.  But that's the way things work at this point in time in the Bitcoin world.

It's just adjusting to BTC price and difficulty change. At 4% diff growth price will be oscilating at 0.35 for next 10 days if BTC doesn't rise significantly.
