The essential part he is talking about :

Quote from: devlux link=action=profile;
The assumption is that you are investing $270 USD (which happens to correlate to 1BTC at the moment)

UMISOO $1.88
S2 $1.45
S3 $1.41
S4 $1.25
S5 $1.16

UMISOO is the best buy until it reaches price parity with S2, then S2 & UMISOO are evenly matched until 0.00036 at which point it's S3 all the way until S3 reaches 0.0007.  After that point you are better off with PACMICS.

UMISOO still stuck @ 0,00024BTC and BTC 267

the whole thing is worth reading! -->https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1882

It doesn't make sense to me though.  From what I am gathering, he is saying only buy the hash that returns the most profit per day.  That won't work because with difficulty increases, UMISOO will probably be gone within a month or two (depending on many things), and it won't matter what your daily profit was, meanwhile S5 will be hashing long after the other units offered are gone.

Am I missing something?

For me no.... and S5 in one or two month probably will have a decent price if you want' to resold.... umisoo loosing completely his capacity to generate money will worth zero or near it

You have to keep an eye on the daily yield and price of UMISOO; you do not hold the contract until it is worthless. He notes that he places a stop loss when he buys a contract the method is described in this post.

as i gather from the information he doesn´t really "hold" gh/s. He is trading day to day and doesn´t care for ROI, because he is looking everyday at the stats to see on which market he can make at exactly that day with at  2XX BTC the most money. And the next day he starts new. and so on and so on. you need to read both posts.

Hi.
I have read both posts and I'm trying to understand all this market business.
I had seen the market tab before in hashnest site but did not really care for it because I don't understand it.

But now I'm looking to learn and understand it with your expert teaching Smiley if possible

First, from what I read in wikis:
https://support.bitmain.com/wikis/48
If I have some bitcoins to spare, or from my mining revenue to reinvest I can buy some GHs on the market and increase my hashrate. The GHs I purchase become mine. Is this correct?

The same principal to sell, if I wish to sell 155ghs from my 1155ghs of my S5 I could. When sold I would only have 1000Ghs

What I still don't understand, perhaps because I have not clicked on buy or sell ( scared I break something  Embarrassed ) is if I sell some Ghs who sets the price? Me?
The same the other way around, if I'm buying it would be the seller who sets the price.

After all this, I will then try to make sense of the making profit part by using the market to buy and sell.

Thanks in advance.

I am trying to find the ToS for the UMISOO contract if anyone knows where they are?  I still am not showing any blocks found under the blocks tab and it seems like my balance is being updated once a day based on a PPS model which I don't think is correct.  I thought if the contract was over 100% maintenance/payout ratio it would go into PPS mode for 10 days then be done.

Can anyone provide a link to the ToS for me?

Thanks

Just look under transactions and it shows up once a day for UMISOO

But why and why is it being paid on a PPS basis instead of a block by block basis?  Shouldn't we be getting paid whenever a block comes out?  Also, why did UMISOO find one more block yesterday then the other hash types?

The switched to PPS when the price dropped in April. This also happened for a few days back in Jan/Feb. Once maint/payout was under 90% they switched back to PPLNS. Not sure why they haven't switched back yet. I asked on Hashtalk and didn't get an answer.

S5 not coming online.

I paid from S5 miner 2015-07-06 06:47:47 1.56517267 ฿ .

Today, over more than 72 hours miner status is still - Shipping.

Does that mean that your page is broken ?

Maybe the price needs to stay at this level long enough, and possibly to do with the increase in difficulty about to take place this adjustment.

Look at your transactions and you can see payments from UMISOO as well as the maintenance fee being deducted. Filter it for "mining" to make it easier to find if you have other hash.

Ok problem solved, umisoo cost over 80 % (forgot to subtract  Maintenance(BTC) Smiley , and reward was so low that i thought it didin pay Smiley
So now , another question, what is better ants s5 or umisoo ? Fact umisoo price is cheaper but has 80 % costs...

Shop S5 back to being under 0.0013/GH. Once again tempting to buy, but would be great if we knew the S7 details and eta's.

Price: 420.0 USD(1.46200357฿) / 1150 = 0.0012713074521739.

How many BTC was it making you per day after maintenance costs by the way? I've been looking into hashnest for a while but still haven't jumped in.

Well the S5 was looking like a really good buy until they upped the price to $445 (1.55461774BTC)

Right now buying them on the market (0.00132886)is better than the shop (0.0013458) which is normally the inverse.

thats one of the only downside is the ridiculous price gouging they do. I am also waiting for a withdrawal for 12+ hours. WIsh their manual audits were quicker when withdrawing 10+ btc

Yeah it is. They were looking very attractive at the 1.44xxxBTC price and I think a bunch of people were jumping on it before the price gouge.
