unless it's drastically more efficient power wise
If it follows the same pattern as S1/S2, S4 will be significantly more efficient and significantly more expensive than S3. Well the price will have to be better than S3 per GH by a significant amount, else MEH!! SP-Jackson is 1300 shipped plus 200 (PSU) for 1.7 in October, so that is $0.88 and WE ALL know SPT is high and probably smoking something too.. These Manufacturers are ALL shoving their COCKS up OUR asses, I will pass on anything above $1200.00 USD DELIVERED B4 October.

It will probably arrive half assembled and / or broken, like the S2's did...

I guess it will be around ~1.1kW psu, ~0.55W/GH (as this was avertised as maximum chip efficiency).
Price should be around 0.7$/GH, that would be very fair.
I hope it will be shipped / built in a manner that protects it against damage from moving parts during shipping.

If you start today, with $0.10 electricity/ 10% diff increase, 1000watts
2TH will mine 2.7 BTC before it operates at a loss. This means the price needs to be ~ $1000 or less to be interesting.

I agree. 2 BTC would be fine with me, at current pricing. If I can get 800 GH/s, Asicminer Tubes, for $400, then Bitmain should be able to do 2 TH/s for around $1,000.

With the S3 I fell into the trap thinking that 1btc starting price will be good and Bitmain trycked me selling it for 0.68 now will be the same I think everyone believes it will be available around 1000 $ so bitmain will beat this, and offer it about 1.7 BTC this is my prediction.

You guys are dreaming if you think they will price these at 2BTC.
In the next 60 days they would likely mine 1.4BTC just running them themselves.
Shipping is a huge part of the cost. I would factor $200+ from China to US 2nd Day.
The units appear to include PSUs. They likely way 30+ lbs not including packing materials.
My guess is they will price these around 4-5BTC. But feel free to poke fun when I'm wrong, which I very well may be.

4 Btc would be hugely expensive for a 2 TH miner. 0.7-0.8$/GH seems like a fair price to me, so around 3.4Btc would be a fair price imo.

Don't get me wrong though, if they end up being 2 BTC I'll buy a boat load. On a side note: We received 34 of our 44 ordered S3+ Units today. Lots of boxes to open this evening! Ready to fire them up! Thank you Bitmain, delivered early many thanks! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Strato

My partner's S3+'s showed up here last night too, working on them now, the one I got running has been solid at 500 Gh/s / 250 Mhz all night I am told. Here's to hoping the other 9 are as good.
These were ordered 8/25.

I really like the smaller form factor than the S2s, but I am sure these will be priced disappointingly high. A good offset would be ... Wait for it ... Coupons!

You're comparing 40nm vs 28nm chips, one manufacturer getting rid of old stock to one manufacturer recently releasing new stock. Not to mention, they will be just as the S2 -high density and underclocked for better W/GHs- and provide power supply. There is zero chance they will come in under $1000, though they should to ROI even @ 10% diff. I just hope the S2 upgrades are priced a little more reasonably than the S1 upgrades were (basically a joke, only fit for upgrading dead miners). I would estimate ~ BTC3-3.5 for the S4's, and BTC2.75 for the S2 upgrades if they can re-use the PSU's which is highly unlikely. My S3's from B8 all arrived late last week. Mining VERY consistently at ~450-455 GH/s stock clocking. Much less variance than all the S1's I've received (second hand mind you).
