quote defcoin ==== LOL... oh no, the coin is dead cause $DEV doesn't live on BCT! When will you people learn that everything on here is completely irrelevant next to useless. Devs need to stop using it all together, only then can crypto begin to flourish. It's such a shame that people consider this shit hole to be the pinnacle of information when it comes to developments. I don't blame $DEV for not coming on here, and frankly I am embarrassed that I even check BCT myself.

Hi,
We have reviewed your account. It looks like someone else logged into your account and sold all of your coins and then tried to turn on 2fa in order to withdraw your funds. We recently added email authentication to turn on 2fa which most likely stopped this person from withdrawing the BTC.
We always recommend using a complex unique password and turning on 2-factor authentication.
Here is the login info of the person who must have your username and password.

i don't think that bittrex is scam, maybe you don't use 2fa or others to secure your account so you think you are loss the money. i hope that you already contact bittrex support system and asked them about your problem and i hope you can solve your problem as soon as you can. by the way, did you verify your account with the enhanced level? because sometimes this will help you to solve your problem quickly and the support system can handle your problem too.

I find hard to believe you kept 2.2 BTC on the exchange, no matter if that money was on Bittrex or Poloniex or any other exchange, never leave crypto or fiat on the exchange! It's only matter of time you will lose it. I don't blame Bittrex but you should be more proactive, next time after trading is complete transfer BTC to your wallet - never leave on the exchange. I understand if is a small amount and you don't bother like 0.02 BTC (150$) but anything more I will never leave like that.
Another thing, 2FA is a must! If you can enable, always do it. Hack your password with keylogger or malware is easy, you can't just trust password will be a safe way to login to an exchange and this hack prove it. Sorry for your loss but there is nothing to defend you and blame exchange for it.

I don't think that one of the major exchanges will loose its reputation and all its business only for 2.2 BTC. Their daily revenue is much more. You can also think about protecting your own money. If you was hacked then don't blame the exchange.

You gave absolutely no info at all so nobody here can help you. Either you made some error while withdrawing or there actually was some problem on their side with it. Contact their support to figure it out. Bittrex is too big to scam random people for 2 BTC, no point in risking.

It is very ridiculous I think like you that bittrex won't scam people for just 2.2 BTC. If they were to do it, then it should be worldwide and all accounts will experience it simultaneously not just you OP. Maybe OP lost his coins because of lack of 2FA and vulnerable password on account. It is strange though that there aren't any history of withdrawal on his account. I am not familiar with trollbox functions of bitttex but my guess is that the one who accessed it transferred his balance internally via tip. Many exchanges have this feature.

Probably the issue comes from the thing between your chair and your computer.
Don't call something a scam if you don't know what happened... Call it a scam when you really understood why you lost your money and you can prove it has been stolen...

I cant support this claim! Bittrex has always been supporting me well, and responded to my emails within an acceptable timespan. I was verified from day one though. I guess if they suspect you for doing something shady, they will freeze the funds. For most people verifying their account should be the easiest and safest way to deal with any exchange.

Bittrex.com is the top crypto exchange and has been in different situations but this strange event must be address only for bittrex.com because they are the only party that can give you answers. Try to give them the whole story and information before accusing them as such.

I registered to Bittrex with some small funds. So far no problems at all. I really like the security part which is not so easy to login (i get a login link on my e-mail, password and security code on my phone). Will see when the time comes to withdraw (fingers crossed ) but judging from the amount I see being traded everyday I don`t think they would scam anyone. The only way they could do this is if they scam everyone

So far, I have not encountered any problem with my Bittrex account. I have been using the exchange for several months already and everything went smoothly. I think the problem with your situation is on your end, regarding personal security most probably. High security regarding personal accounts in Bittrex is well provided, you just have to activate and maximize all of them.

For what it's worth I've used Bittrex over a year now never an issue, stored up to 21 BTC on there at a time without issue... this thread ought to be allowed to recede into the abyss again imo.

My experience with Bittrex is far out positive unlike some smaller exchanges such as CoinExchange where they are just plain rude.
I transfered some ARDOR and forgot to attach a message/memo needed for the deposit, opened up a ticket and got them credited in like 1 day which is really fast. I use it now as my main exchange, its got a perfect lay-out and everything is organized and easy to handle. Support is friendly and its the first exchange I encountered where its actually easy to verify yourself without needing all that webcam bullshit. To bad they don't offer BTC/USD but BTC/USDT cause I can't get over it that this whole Tether thing it seems fishy to me but the volume is pretty big at all times.
To bad that Bittrex is a big exchange and you won't get any good deals on new listings.

Hi,
We have reviewed your account.
208.53.158.222 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko 2014-09-17 01:07:33.627 208.53.158.222 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko 2014-09-16 20:44:22.817
Thank you,

So you didn't protect your account and never opened 2FA, and this is definitely hacked by hackers, don't blame bittrex and accuse them a scam, they are the most reliable project.

I don't know about your particular case, I just hope you get your coins back as soon as possible.
Well... in general I don't like Bittrex and other centralized US exchanges either. Their regulation is pretty much ridiculous.
Try to use decentralized exchanges where you can, in my eyes they're the future.

So basically Bittrex could be the next Cryptsy, you say? Your account got disabled as well? I don't particularly like them but I was never scammed by them.

I dont know why do people do still bumping this issue as i have read this is already 3 year old issue and now its being bumped again and been answering now. This thread should be locked? Its much better to prevent more post regarding on this matter. It is already been answered by bittrex representative above which they do tell thar someone do have logged in on the account. Accusing bittrex directly without any strong proofs isnt really good at all.

Before starting such topics and accusing one of the largest exchanges, if not the largest one, be sure to check your facts straight because this is causing FUD. As I see the guys were very helpful and answered your questions. Indeed it is your fault for letting this happen by not protecting your account. Safety first.

Did you active 2fa security ? i think it was not a bittrex problem ,it was a problem of your account with low security if you did not active 2fa. everybody should active 2fa in all exchange where people can hold their coin.

Security is very important now, there are many crackers who steal money from exchangers. However, I never use bittrex again now, I prefer hitbtc. Hitbtc is better for me. I used to trade at bittrex, since there were many issues apear, I withdraw all my money from there.

Sorry to hear about your loss. If i were you I would use the IPs to trace who logged in from where to access your account. Also try and think about who would know your password. Sometimes the answers pop up in the most unexpected places/ways.

According on Your Problem :
1. Are you already activated 2FA ? 2. if that's problem true. you must be emailed from bittrex if any unusual activity
as long as I using bittrex, there's no trouble. and I can say Bittex is the safest exchange I ever use.

I would choose my post more carefully though. Although I don't particularly like Bittrex or any other exchanges in general I've got to say they look after their costumers. I had to file support tickets a few times before and got them resolved in a professional way. They may be expensive but give you a top quality service. Sad to see ppl loosing their funds due to lack of 2FA turned on. 2.2 BTC is a very expensive lesson. I'm sorry for your loss mate.

Perhaps your loss is due to caution. All the coins disappeared from my friend's wallet. When he began to analyze the situation, he came to the conclusion that he himself was to blame. He came to the exchange from his working laptop. Most likely not cleaned the cache. Maybe the sysadmin saw his latest actions on the Internet. Then he loaded the VPN. And that's all. Money is gone, VPN leads to a third world country.

Lol. Bittrex is earning millions a day in fees. People really think they are stealing from accounts with 1 or 2 Bitcoin... that's like absolutely no money for them and if true they would risk losing all income for trading.
You guys are seriously idiots calling Bittrex a scam. You just gotta activate 2fa and use different passwords than the same you use on other shitty protected platforms like bitcointalk.

It was reported that several wallets and exchanges, including blockchain.info and bittreks were hacked from the inside. And the problem is most likely in bitcoin gold, which probably brought a virus-cracker or a weak resistance to burglary.

Their website was recently hacked and took a lot of coins from Bittrex deposit wallets so there's a lot of customers that are currently on fire asking the support why it's happened so you better ask support rather than accusing them that they're scamming their clients because Bittrex.com is the top Crypto-currency exchange until today.

They're freezing mostly of the accounts because their system was somehow hacked by one of their clients so be careful on accessing your own account because they're doing their part to protect their credibility as the top Crypto-currency exchange.

in fact he misunderstood the problem, he had difficulty in viewing the history and where the verification email was, he should have left a trace of the image, or tried to check the information about his account, or with contact support, hopefully the problem he faced could be resolved with the return of the btc he has.

I don't think so because i have my fund in bittrex and I don't encounter any problem maybe you are being hacked by online sites and your transaction is really unbelievable. Bittrex is a trusting trading site of cryptocurrency and its regulated by the government so i think its not easy to say that.

My account has disabled since 40 days ago ,There isn't any clear answer and reason from @BittrexExchange support !!!. #Bittrex #Bittrex_disabled_accounts😡😡😡
Which country are you from? I heard that Bittrex disabled accounts from the middle east and any country on the USA's travel ban list as well.

Bittrex.com SCAM 100%
Whats the purpose on reviving this ancient thread. Exemplifying how little significance they have maybe? And alyssa85 is right, there have been numerous accounts of accounts (...) frozen apparently because the country of origin would be on some US-related black list of some sort

I have not had any issues using Bittrex, although I'm fairly new to crypto so I havent been using it very long but it seems to work well for what I do on it. I also received a notification that said they updated something to make it run smoother.

been using bittrex since June 2016 and haven't had a single problem... but I pay attention when someone else is having a problem with a service because there experience can be my experience when things go wrong.. I pay attention to how companies handle problems... lets hope these get resolved quickly.

Lots of accounts were suspended on bittrex and they put down limits on plenty of accounts without any reason. This is a fact!

"You don't come here and post a topic saying ""Scam"" for one of the best exchange site in cryptocurrency history. without any proof whatsoever. You are either a moron or a troll that is seeking for some attention. Do you have problem with their service? Then open a ticket and try to solve it there. You might come back and post them here with ticket ID if you think that they unfair. Then we might take you serious and perhaps support you."

Always use 2FA for your exchange accounts, as Bittrex provides you login logs so you can check it with your nearby people for a thief. Blaming others for our own mistakes will not solve the issues.

The fact that you are unable to withdraw your 2btc from your wallet doesn't make bittrex a scam, technical errors do happen sometimes and the best thing to do might be to open a support ticket on their support center, probably you might get assistance very quick. Besides, even if they were a scam, I just don't think that they will scam 2.2 btc, that's too little compared to the money they accumulate per year/month.

Hi,
We have reviewed your account.

How do people get scammed on bittrex? Everytime I login - I have to click on a link that goes to my email on my first attempt of signing in and then it allows me to login into my profile.
Not only did they hack your bittrex but also your email.

I dont think that they would scam your 2.2 bitcoin. 2.2 btc is nothing for them so it would be meaningless. If they want to scam they would scam a huge amounth of crypto coins and it would affect even bitcoin price.

Have you even tried contacting them before accusing ?
What! Who would ever contact Bittrex? That's unheard of. Although my account was not hacked or lost by someone else, bittrex ignored my request for advanced verification and I have already submitted an application for more than a month. No one answered me. I was thinking bittrex staff was Is not the collective long-term off? I sent a mail to support@bittrex.com and submitted a work order, still did not get any manual reply.

I feel sorry for you but it's not bittrex fault any bitcoin exchange websites has an 2FA authentication to prevent hackers i think you accidentally clicked a wrong link like phishing or you get some malware in other websites or programs, Hackers are so smart so you need to be careful to your funds it's a lesson for you to be careful next time you put your funds into an exchange that's the reason why all bitcoin exchange sites put 2FA and email authentication in every account to prevent this scenario.

Yes, Me too. I've been using Bittrex for over 5 months now and I can always trade or withdraw with problem. My friend had a similar issue with verification but it was his own mistake and agreed that it wasn't the fault of Bittrex. It's for our own protection to have a two way verification because of rampant hacker activities.

I've used their service since 2014, likely providing them hundreds in fees (especially with a 0.001btc withdrawal fee..) and I've recently had my account (previously legacy) limited to 0.025 then 0.00btc withdrawal. I've tried the basic verification and it fails even though I have provided all my correct info. Opened a ticket and now playing the waiting game. All I ask is to be allowed to withdrawal my remaining funds and I'll be done. Seems pretty wrong to withhold from a long time user who added funds there years before verification became a thing. I understand why they want verification and I'm ok doing so (Not happy about trusting a 3rd party with my identity though) but at least have it work, or respond with a solution in a reasonable time when it doesn't. I do hope I'll be allowed to get my funds out, and the rest of you who have had issues.

I also think that Bittrex is not a scam. They introduced 2fa security and those who are stuck up in that (like their 2fa device is stolen etc) are making such noises to make bad name for Bittrex. It is a number 2 exchange after Poloniex and there is nothing wrong in it to be worried about.

Bittrex is not a scam, I even remember when people were calling Poloniex also a scam, what you need to do is to carry out some verification and if you pass it, you should be able to access your account. This is the reason you don't keep your coins on exchanges

This is not true. Although bittrex is accussed of many turned down accounts but bittrex could never be a scam. It is a good exchanger in which most of its coins are pumping because of its different volumes. Well, I think on your concern you must wait for it to appear.

Ive used bittrex for some time now and all i can say is that everything works 100%. Never had a single problem, till now ofcourse.
Just to be safe, don´t keep all your saving in a single exchange. Mix a bit. Use hardware wallet. I have 2!

It does not make sense bro. Look at the daily trade volumes in bittrex. Why would they care about your 2 btc. They earn 2 btc in every minute. So there is something else. Just contact with their support and ask about the issue. I am sure it will be solved.

The situation is ambiguous. We do not know all the details of what happened. Often, many of the losses are due to the users themselves. Perhaps there was an entrance to a phishing site with the introduction of passwords from the account, it is not known whether two-factorial and more are included ...

So basically, you had money on bittrex and you don't use 2FA almost lost you money because of hack, and then blame exchange. What to say...Everyone learns from his own mistake.

yes that's right, in fact using 2FA is a safety for prevent hacker for take someone's money from the exchange. but in fact I do not really like to trade in Bittrex because often force close alone I mean go out on my own when I'm logged in. about Bittrex SCAM i think not.

Don't know about them being a scam I read about it a lot though, what is definitely scammy is the way they let people deposit and they only give them their money back in exchange for a passport id.

I've never had a problem with bittrex, I dont think it's possible to make a deliberate mistake. Maybe you should contact bittrex. I would like to ask, can you prove it with your deposit history. because there are always stories stored.

Personally, I've never had a problem with Bitrex. There is still a Polonix exchange, try it. Everybody trades there. And connect necessarily 2FA GOOGLE. In any case, find out from the support, whether there were conclusions from your address ... Maybe you were broke and withdrew your funds without your knowledge.

I also know cases when people with Bitrex lost money. And also there is a suspicion on the activity of the Exchange employees. The second suspicion is related to the vulnerability of bitcoin gold. After transactions with this coin, the people lost money.

It's been over a year problem and they doesn't know why? Bittrex is a good wallet, exchange, and trading website they may be doing this because they have to follow what the government wants them. Even if Bitcoin is decentralized but those exchanges were not they should follow rules in accordance for their company to stay without any problem. If they follow what Bittrex wants them there shouldn't be a problem of being banned.

Yes, recently bittrex support team working slowly but i don't think they are scam. I also wanted to do ID verification. There was a problem with the automatic confirmation program. I got error "Name Mismatch". I sent a ticket to support(id: #661839). I believe they will solve it in a short time. They only increase safety and that is a good job in my opinion. Relax!

Hmm, I hope Bittrex.com is not a scam or else alot of people would be mad at them, I have never had a problem with Bittrex so far but I hope that people who have problems will be helped and not waiting long, I know how it feels. Try to contact the support, try to spam them wanting your coins back because this is ridiculous and I hope it all goes well.

Hello everyone, Currently I have unpleasant experience with Bittrex. My account there is created 2014, but because the crypto market collapse i was not very active. When they accepted my coins at the their exchange, they did not ask any questions, now we verify our self. To whom? Americans authority? I'm not american and do not think i must comply if I want to take away my funds. They lock my account before even I had a chance to verify it. I've passed the verification, created a case to the so called "Customer Support" and 21 day latter my account is still locked for no reason at all. Mean while there were lots of spikes i could profit. Complaining here to one another won't help us, I suggest to form a group and try to rise lawsuit against Bittrex.

You need to check out their user agreement. It was changed recently and now they have a huge advantage over the customers in terms of rules. I'm afraid you won't handle this case

Since my ticket was opened, I have got two email templates apologies for the inconvenience signed by Ryan Hentz. Their excuse is "Not enough qualified personnel to face the increased amount of tickets". Should I take these people seriously? Note my ticket is just for enabling my account, not recovering lost transaction or something out of space. My concerns are either they experience problems with the funds at their disposal, or they use our funds to make a profit which You will agree would be colossal, or prepare Cryptsy Two. If there are people who want to join the cause PM me. I would appreciate opinions from members with legal experience.

Wow, I didn't know that pump&dump activity is oficially forbidden by Bittrex. If they have this statement at the user agreement (I guess they have it for sure) they won't unlock it.

Sum up for others: Bittrex is secure and it is definitely not a scam! Post creator didn't have 2FA and consequently, somebody sold his BTC which he hold on Bittrex. Hopefully, Bittrex e-mail confirmation stopped this person from withdrawing it. As a result, Bittrex even saved this guy from loosing more money.
Lessons from this story: 1) Don't store big amounts of coins on Exchanges. 2) Always set 2FA on your exchange accounts

I have used this platform for a year and have not any problems. That’s some options which I wouldn’t find anywhere else. This is really strange to read such information about this exchange instrument.

This story actually 100%
There is really an incident in those exchanger sometimes because we cannot do really avoid that problem. More and more hackers are trying to steal bitcoins in the market and lets just pray for our wallet not to be touched by hackers.

Maybe people dont deserve the freedom they are given....Everyday that thing crosses my mind and makes me feel bad. Why would you call Bittrex a scam. Did you try to resolve this or are you just insulting people/companies cause of your frustration?? Also, I have had problems resolved very quickly on Bittrex. Chill and try to communicate and sort it out. This is not going to help you a bit..

This post is must be renamed to "Fast Reassuring Bittrex is not 100% SCAM". I'm reading the wave of positivism here, loosing money because of Bittrex, watching chats bleeding. But hey, all of this doesn't matter, cause other people do not have problems at all with this bloody exchange.

i was trading on bittrex for a few years then early november my acount was disabled without warning all locked out cant take my coins out nor trade. they disabled my acount before posting the notice about legacy acounts. all i got from suport was 2 msg about getting verified and some crap then all i got was your account is under review bla bla even when i sent an other ticket from a unrelated issue seems support is locked out aswell internaly. so they are a scam for some people you could be next. here is proof of the shady pratices i found. as you can see in web archives here dated 18 octobre 2017 its a notice from bittrex from 2016 https://archive.fo/19xjq you can clearly see it states . Please check below to see what limit your account falls under. Unverified Accounts created before 08/01/17: 0.025 BTC (or equivalent) per day. so legacy accounts had no reason to think they would be locked out of funds . here is the updated notice from 30 nov 2017 after most people having problems accounts were locked out https://archive.fo/VXjZm here is states lease check below to see what limit your account falls under. New/Unverified Accounts: Unverified accounts have a 0 BTC withdrawal limit. as you can see they again updated an old msg from 2016 like if they posted this over a year ago . me like many others did not think an old over 1 year old notice was worth reading because we expected to allready have done so , bittrex clearly is doing something shady by editing an old msg multiple times to suit thers current needs.

Even bitcoincash had high withdrawal fees when it costs a cent to move money. That was pretty much the scam Cryptsy pulled before they disappeared.

Editing old messages is definitely scammy. A big clue something was wrong was the way they increased their withdrawal fees too. Even bitcoincash had high withdrawal fees when it costs a cent to move money. That was pretty much the scam Cryptsy pulled before they disappeared. i did not notice the fee's i did not transfer coins alot would do all at once then take back at end of day usualy all in a single crypto. i know those laws and new regulation about know your consumers and having to get resistered the deadline is may 2018 thats when it goes into effects i have no clue why they lock people out now this early thats wrong they dont need to yet :/

SCAMMERS! They put BTG wallet in maintenance 10 days ago, making tons of deposits inaccessible. They are lying that they need feedback from developers. (Meantime, other exchanges fixed BTG issues in days.) And Bittrex's support is unable to help, actually they have no willingness to solve the issue.

Sorry, guys, but my issue has been solved in two weeks with support and transaction error. And support solved this problem not me. Yes, it was not so quick but I understand that so big exchange has many issues as you say

I trust. But my issue has been solved. Maybe we can to get some statistics about Bittrex support work. But if you say scam it mean that it's not a wallet maintenance. Because it's a central private exchange. And where are their servers and in which conditions we don't know

Well this will be just another lesson for us to don't keep coins on exchanges but I don't think bittrex will have this faith cause it still a good exchange. Stay safe and keep your coins safer.

This story actually 100%
Bittrex takes place in the top of all exchanges. They can't be scammers because they've been working for a long time. Maybe you did something wrong? This is a cryptocurrency, there can be anything. Write in support, though she had a very long time to respond

Each exchange has technical failures. If support does not answers for more than 2 weeks, only then you can begin to worry. There are small exchanges with a little trust level. But on yobit.net lost deposit in DLT was restored in 2 weeks. And Bittrex is one of the most famous and respected. I trust Bittrex!

Bittrex is not a scam lol. One of the legitimate exchanges here in cryptocurrency industry. I've been using bittrex for such a long time and didn't encounter any problem using bittrex. The only problem that you may experience in bittrex is the verification since you need to be verified before you can actually withdraw any token.

As for the commissions, they are really average in the market. But some sites offer work without commissions for makers or take-offs. And this is much more profitable in a number of situations than setting an average commission for all categories of users.

Excellent exchange. I never had problems with her. Now add the fiat pair, not yet for everyone, but it will help them to regain positions among the leaders. Now a large selection of good exchanges. You can always find a exchange that you like

Never had a problem with Bittrex personally. They were my trusted exchange for a while until I figured out that their KYC (along with any other exchange enforcing kyc) was infringing on my privacy. I made a choice to move to DEX for my trades and that's been letting me sleep better at night.

Don't use bittrex.
I made a deposit of aprox 10K USD in crypto and because of their technical problems the deposit didn't get credited as usual.
Now they tell me that they have to manually check it and that it could take a month or more and this if it finally gets credited, maybe I "lose" my coins, they don't assure me that it will be credited even having blockchain tx id proof.WTF
This is unacceptable, avoid this exchange at all costs.

Why would Bittrex scam you for 2.2 Btc... lol
Yup. It is a small amount of btc. I believe that bittrex.com is not a scam. Maybe you should research first and gather a lot of information about bittrex before saying that words without valid reason. That a sarcasm but a good question. Bittrex would not spent a lot of time just for you.

These days I favor utilizing decentralized trade where my stores and withdrawals are anything but difficult to execute. In the event that I will pick among the unified trade I will like to utilize Binance and bittrex where the establishment of these trades are extremely solid and dependable.

The way that you can't pull back your 2btc from your wallet doesn't make bittrex a trick, specialized mistakes do happen now and again and the best activity may be to open a help ticket on their help focus, most likely you may get help speedy. Plus, regardless of whether they were a trick, I simply don't feel that they will trick 2.2 btc, that is too little contrasted with the cash they collect every year/month.

I don't feel that bittrex is trick, possibly you don't utilize 2fa or others to anchor your record so you think you are misfortune the cash. I trust that you as of now contact bittrex emotionally supportive network and got some information about your concern and I trust you can tackle your concern when you can. incidentally, did you confirm your record with the improved level? since now and then this will assist you with solving your concern rapidly and the emotionally supportive network can deal with your concern as well.

When bittrex was applying all of the SEC regulations to the bittex exchange site and then there is so many accounts that getting halted by the team of bittrex exchange site and that's why there is a lot of people called that as a scam because the majority of them don't break any regulations from the bittrex.
