Still got 18 more hours of UTC 2017 for no fee rewards Of course it's only back to 0.9% after that - so not much then anyway

The work diff will be of course based on the hash rate like anyone else. If they point miners at the pool individually, then the same work diff as anyone else. If they proxy the miners, then the work diff will use the same calculation based on the combined hash rate on the proxy. Work diff has no expected effect on mining other than variance.

On an unrelated note, I still don't see any payment from the Christmas block yet....anyone else? Haven't changed anything on my end re: wallet...
Yep. I got it yesterday. Transaction 2005503c1365521c933e596b05ddc72cc805525f121a80a3a71c42d9ba87d67b I see nothing on blockchain.info for mine. This is before the last block was found on 12/30/17.. Well, you did ask about the Christmas block. The one from yesterday 12/30 hadn't reached 101 confirmations when we found today's block.

Congrats on the block. I might have a new miner coming in soon, does it also have to go through the ramp up period?

Yup, the ramp up process is still there when you add another one. Its up hill.. then when you get to the top, its a little bumpy, depending what the block rewards are, but you will come out ahead of any other pool. Here you get those transaction fees rewarded to miners. Plus its the lowest fee of 0.9 percent ( 0.0 ) until 2018, which is a few hours, but hey, where else do you see that kind of stuff in the bitcoin world..... I started with 1 S9 on Dec 10, and just a few days ago got another 4. I thought it was a good way to heat my house and garage. :-) What kind of heater PAYS you to use it? FYI The easiest way it can be explained, that I can think of is, that red area on the Workers Shift graph is a moving window. You get paid on the percentage of the shares you contributed to the total. So just hover your mouse over the left side, and you will see the date at when the window starts. if you were mining on that day and time, you are ramped up. If you started somewhere between then and now, your average is less over that full period of time. BUT never fear, if you stop mining at kano ( and you know you WON'T :-) you get that ramp down the same way the ramp up was. Except the percentage of the shares for the period was going down, so the payouts will decrease as that " window " passes. Hope that made sense.

Can someone summarize the lowdown on getting an Avalon unit? When will they be available? How hard is it to get one? How do we get one? Roughly how much will they cost? The cost of the S9 is insanely high right now. Will the price surge occur with the Avalon as well?

Sign up for blokforge and crytouniverse's announcements. Blokforge just sent this out: The Avalon 821 will ship at 11 TH (terahash) and 1200 Watts for a power efficiency of 109 Watts per TH, a great improvement over the 741 which was rated at 150 Watts/TH. Pre-sale date will be Jan 12th 2018 at 5pm MST. Pricing will be established by the manufacturer and driven by market forces and the price of Bitcoin. Pricing and shipping dates will be updated on the site a few days before the sale. We will not be answering calls during this time, we cannot field hundreds of instantaneous calls requesting to pay over the phone, thanks in advance for understanding. Avalon 841: The Avalon 841 will ship at 13 TH and 1200 Watts for a power efficiency of 92 Watts/TH. We expect this to be announced in summer of 2018. It's too early to talk about the 861 (integrated PSU), the 921 and 10 series, but 2018 promises to be a great year.

Question...
One of the S9s I have decided to take a break from work and two of the boards decided to take a vacation. I am sending them out and going to have them repaired. The third board is working just fine and having around 4.45 TH/s. I decided to keep that one mining while the other 2 boards are out for repair. Question is I see the unit under the "workers" tab and the shift graph is correct but the unit is showing idle in the app. What gives?
