I feel like I have read the answer to this question some time ago but I cant find it. If I am mining at stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 , what should I use as my backup to keep mining here if the first fails?
Front page is always a good place to start. As a general rule. I did read the front page, let me re-phrase my question: In case of a ddos attack that would affect mining at stratum:+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333, what should I use as a backup?

I don't recommend any (and no - no one else use this as a reason to start discussing other pools here ) Instead you can use CKPool Solo of course if you are willing to wage battles against the monster called variance. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

The backup domain is: kano.space in case the .is domain is unavailable. [edit] Didn't see Kano had answered above. I figured this might be what he was looking for. BTW, got it off the main https://kano.is/ page

Do the things you know you must do first, then worry about the stuff you're not sure about.

Wouldn't both of those be usable if stratum.kano is DDoS'd and unreachable? Now mind you, there's likely additional latency involved at that point but with the speed of the pool I'd hope we'd still be OK?

Popcorn! How long can this go on? Kano ckpool will single handedly increase the difficulty at this rate... Love it!

stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 17iHYqhfwrb5k1PFsYgUmbfidpmmUghRqR
It is correct or do I have to add something at the end of my address?

That's all correct. If you want a worker name then add 17iHYqhfwrb5k1PFsYgUmbfidpmmUghRqR_workername

Payout 392849 sent de8ef99b640d9a9665813dc7dcb6c6897ea5b0826d278aa9fe0aa9264c7fdd0d and confirmed -- I feel like I have read the answer to this question some time ago but I cant find it. The way things are currently, no, but very soon that may well be a viable option. The reason for doing the reverse if you are near a remote node, is that the main node has, to be blunt, much more staying power than the remote nodes. But I will say, you shouldn't depend on only one pool.

Going to take a guess that this could be something to do with the "issue" previously posted, I'm sure Kano will explain. Unless my assumption is wrong in which case.... have your changed any Kano.is pool settings? do your backup pools work etc..? EDIT: Have you managed to login to your Kano.is account?

Well while jumping for joy at having more BTC to send people ... I've not heard back from vortex via email, he said skype, which of course isn't appropriate, I replied again that I wanted email, I don't care who anyone 'says' they are, they need to use their account listed contact details, and still wondering do I need to redo these payouts or send his BTC to his old address? Nothing has changed on his account so that leaves me in the quandary of wondering who the account owner is vs the forum member ... I don't really want to reprocess these (now 3) payouts, and just want to send them ... (and I'm also not 100% certain it is his account ) read this vortex?
