EDIT: I would very much like to have a talk with Kano and CK about their own propagation network, just to know, with a beer Tongue I'm pretty sure they want to keep it low since that's an advantage the other pools but this is something I wouldn't even question myself about it, in the past.
All the code's readily available on the ckpool repository using nodes and trusted remote server options though our custom coin daemons are private code. Now for that beer Wink

...
I still see several of the miners who were here when I came on board as this pool size of a little over 1 PH, dropping under that even, and some days being 1.5 PH taught me a tremendous amount about the needed patience in certain aspects and understanding pool scale and payouts. I have absolutely zero concerns regarding my payout amounts because I know these guys are looking hard to find an issue, and they are doing it constantly. I know this is money and everyone likes to count it, and make sure it is right on the nose, and some people as OCD as me like to do it for fun. There is nothing wrong with that at all, as a matter of fact that is a good thing and people should do it, we learn immense amounts understanding why our payout is the amount it is. Asking questions is fantastic and the absolutely best thing to do if you have looked for your answer and cannot quite put your finger on what you want to know.
...
Well, to be honest, I prefer if people are checking the payouts Tongue

I go to a lot of trouble to make sure no external forces are messing with them.
I also am very reticent about changing the code that I know works
(well I don't know of any bugs at least - of course no one can ever 100% guarantee code is bug free)
So if ever anyone does actually find a problem I'm more than glad to hear about it and track down why.

But yeah make sure you've checked the information that's available on the web site - for your account - first Smiley

OK we just found block 583 but I noticed in front of the shares and luck/diff percentage a tilde sign, (~206,760,318,262 ~126.465%)

I have never seen that before, what does that mean.  We have a couple confirmations so its not going to be an orphan right?  Forgive my ignorance, just curious.

Nevermind, the tildes are gone and we have 6 confirmations now.  Maybe they are there for just the first few confirmations and I have just never noticed before.  Oh well It was a good day for the pool after the long one.  Lets see how many we get tomorrow.

The ~ is always there when the block is first found.
It means approximate since it is approximate Smiley

Ok rookie question, how can you tell if it has high fees and what determines if a block has high fees vs a block that has lower fees.  Coming from Antpool I never cared about that, but since this pool shares the fees I guess I am interested.

Thanks

when visiting the block page : https://www.kano.is/index.php?k=pblocks
you'll see rewards over 25.
short version:  the fees comes from pending btc transactions the pool stuff into the block on solving.

here's a link that ck provided once https://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/blocksize/30d?t=l
sort by average size descending to see the pools average.   better for bitcoin, better for us.

I see Sloopy's point, of course. OTOH, having made my beans writing databases for some years (back in the day), I completely support what youz guyz have done, and continue to do, for the cause. I have no inclination at all to submerge myself in lines of code again. Thanks for what you do...and for how well you do it.   Cool

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)
