Hi there. New to the pool with a humble 1TH from an antminer S5.
I'm currently mining using my bitcoin address as I registered after setting up my miner. Should I switch to using my username?
Thanks for any help you can provide?

Yes you should. You'll get more visibility into your performance, rewards and payments.

Nah, I know why the hash rate went down and the majority of it came back up. Looking for another rise in the coming weeks hopefully too

Hey Kano! I've hopped over to your pool from Slush a couple days back to see what all the talk is about and have one quick question... I have 3 13.5TH S9's pointed at your pool right now. Do you recommend keeping Min-Diff setting on the Workers-Management menu set to 0? Or is there a sweet spot for these miners that your recommend? Thanks! And it's very nice to see you so active on this board!

And it's very nice to see you so active on this board! I'm NOT Kano of course, but I do believe the "sweet spot" is 0 (Zero). Just let the pool control the diff. That's what I have always done with my S9's. I also think that is what Kano recommends. (He may be grabbing a few hours of shut-eye now. I have no idea what time it is where he lives.) Welcome to the pool and best of luck. Get your 5ND rampped up to the full level - take about three days - and you will see the full payouts for your hash rate. The good part about the 5ND is that if you stop mining here you will still be seeing payout from your previous work. That's what I DON'T like about Slush. You pretty much have to be mining almost exactly when the block is found and you lose scoring hash rate fast. Not so here. All the work you do is counted. Which I like a lot. Also since the pool is smaller than Slush your {BLOCK} rewards are much greater. They may take a little bit more time to hit blocks, but the payouts are nice! Anyway good luck and stick around to get the full benefit of the pool. EDIT: I currently have four S9's pointed here. They are all under-clocked at the moment until the sun goes down and it cools off. Normally I get ~50-52TH from them. They are the 12.95 miners but with up-graded firmware. v2. COMEONBLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer. Always be on the look out, because you never know when you'll be stalked by hit-men that eat nothing but cream cheese....

Assuming a similar ratio of total hashrate between the two pools and payout method, your earnings should be about the same over the long term. Larger portion of a smaller number of blocks, or a smaller portion of a higher number of blocks. Of course, all pools are not equal, which is also why I'm here with my modest 5THs.

Fees here are less than half at that other pool ... so you expect to get more here long term.
I also wont hide details about companies like Genesis Mining who withheld blocks on Slush and then Slush made some agreement with Genesis Mining to hide their name and make the rest of the pool's miners pay for Genesis Mining testing their faulty system (that withheld blocks) on a live pool. Hmmm, I wonder why Slush covered it up ... ... ...

Hi all, guys. I just connected to pool and have some questions. 1. I do not find any info about kano mirrors. Here in 1st message no info about it. Where I can find ?( kano, maybe add this info on pool page ?) 2. Pool header o_O insane. From what value shares % calculated ? 3. Invalids has 2 numbers what they are ? 4. Hash rate here are 2 numbers 1/2nd what does they mean ? 5. I try to find out what would be best mirror for me, but I am realize this is try and retry option. Am I correct ?

The nodes are de, sg, jp, nl and nya (as in the topic header) NL = Netherlands, DE = Germany, SG = Singapore, JP = Japan, NYA = New York So e.g. nya.kano.is:3333 Ping them to see what is closest to you. The Rewards are calculated based on Help->Payouts = https://kano.is/index.php?k=payoutInvalids are shares/diff i.e. the ratio of invalid shares and the ratio of the diff of the invalid shares. There's 2 numbers coz people can purposefully make one of them look bad, but not both. Hash rate shows one number, 5min rate, until you've been mining for an hour then it shows 5min rate/1hr rate

Hi joined yesterday, think I just hit a block? edit:can someone check stats page, my miner says 3 now, can't be right! Either your using a Bitmain miner that regularly has no idea about blocks, or you are also mining alt coins that are finding blocks. The Best Share will show that it's below bitcoin difficulty - which is 520,808,749,422.1398 at the moment. If you are using a coin proxy pool, you will find blocks since they decide what you mine, you don't

I was using stratum.kano.is before.
