Let the pool set your diff. Works much better for you and the pool both.  Kiss

Appears to be a solid pool to go with. Except that it's one of the few remaining pools that still doesn't signal support for any protocol updates in coinbase string. Are there any plans to show support for any of the scaling proposal in the near future, i.e. BIP100 and/or SegWit? Ready to put 0.55 PH/s behind either, or both of proposals after my miners are operational in a few weeks. Kano is my 1st choice, but do not want to contribute my hash rate towards empty (do nothing) proposal.

Any info, no matter how brief in regards to the above would greatly help me choose my pool!

Thanks!
There are several hundred pages (well, maybe a few less) on this subject. FWIW...Segwit does not live here.

As per my last comment, of many, on the subject, I don't consider either SegWit or BU good options.

Since the pool is only about 1% we also have no real effect on signalling either.

It will simply be a case of switching to whichever wins ... but take no blame for being part of the cause of either bad choice (for now) Smiley

It was pending on Coinbase but now the transaction disappeared. It was still shown as pending at BTC.com. Any idea? Thanks.

I switched from antpool to Kanopool So far so good. The question I have is how much cost to transfer BTC from BTC.com to other wallet such as Coinbase.com. I am still mining in antpool and BTC is automatically transferred to Coinbase with no charge. Why can't Kanopool use Coinbase.com?

Ok thanks for all your replies. I set the wallet to Coinbase. But when I tried to send my 0.05295024 BTC from BTC.com to Coinbase, I got message "Insufficient funds" even with Low priority bitcoin fee option. Now what can I do? I know it's not much money but I would like to know what options I have.

It sounds like you are trying to send the entire balance of your wallet. You probably need to deduct the expected fees from the balance you are trying to send.

I don't know about BTC.com, but at [Suspicious link removed] it will tell you the maximum amount you can send after the associated fees. I mine to my blockchain wallet, then consolidate every so often to electrum.

You are right. I chose Low priority bitcoin fee option so after 5 hours the BTC is still pending in Coinbase with 0 confirmation. Does anyone have any idea of how long it might take? Thanks!

I had a payment I sent from one of my wallets to coinbase with no tx fee and it took just over 3 days with it pending in coinbase before it got its first confirmation. Then once it finely got its first confirmation the rest followed real soon after.

good job on timing, but selling at the just established ATH is generally ill advised...
that said, mining is good right now, so more coins will come for everyone....

...
Since the pool is only about 1% we also have no real effect on signalling either.
...
Out of curiosity, how much growth could the pool undergo without an infrastructure update if you were to assume the current average hash-rate per user were to hold?

Current HW: 2x Apollo, 2x Apollo BTC, 2x Apollo II

Probably about 10% of bitcoin
... and as I've said in the past I'd stop the growth at the 10% mark - not due to infrastructure limitations, but due to my belief that pools should not be aiming for larger than 10%, and I certainly don't want to be larger than 10% either.

Edit: I've thought up a reasonably small change to ckpool and ckdb to double that limit on the same hardware ... so that's in the TODO list somewhere down the track also Smiley

That is a lot of growth. The real question is, "how to get there?"

Ja. Quite a drop from the 30ish the pool was holding until the end of last year... Hope some of this growth is from those folks moving back, and this time to stay!
