Can someone please tell me what the difference between share rate and hash rate?
2 miners have the similar shares/diff/hash rate but share rate is 50% different. The miner that has higher share rate has the higher invalid shares.

Hash rate is the exponentially decaying average which attempts to estimate your hash rate over the time period - in this case the last 1 hour or 5 minutes, depending on if you've been mining for 1 hour at least yet (if not it uses 5 minutes) Share rate is the actual rate based on the shares submitted in the last '«Elapsed' time. This is most useful when you turn on your miners and point them at the pool - it gives you an immediate rate based on shares submitted. Both are estimates of your miner hash rate based on submitted shares ... without any faking of the values Edit: also don't forget that there's that "Show Details for Invalids:" tickbox at the top that will show you what the invalids are. |
