Useless, ranting followup...my shipment of two 741s hit Memphis...and CBP yanked one just on general principle (random check), and had been hanging on to it for five days, although nothing was found and they didn't ask for any paperwork. I was finally able to find this out by driving 30 mi on island roads to the FedEx office, since I couldn't get to anyone on the phone. The one machine that did NOT get held was actually coming in the back door of the facility while I was there inquiring...but they didn't know because their system wasn't tracking it in the same way. I drove the other 30 mi back home not knowing the box was there. FedEx said they'd put that one on the truck this morning...sheesh...

Anyway...I gotta share this last little bit, because it makes it all tolerable. Think of the (hope you see it where  you're at) Progressive Insurance TV commercial in which Flo is trying to teach her protege how to enter the classified info room...and she's trying all sorts of "elucidated" verbal passwords..."tapioca" etc.

Now imagine you're calling FedEx International's 800 number. SERIOUSLY...when it connects, and the voice system acknowledges you asking what you want...you say clearly, "REPRESENTATIVE"...and you get a real person.

I would not have known that if the FedEX clerk (whose niece I baptised last year...it is indeed a small island) had not let it slip.

Mine on.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Found an interesting address ... looks like someone has been giving away $2.5million over the last 2.5 months.
https[Suspicious link removed]x9KyM1jUhDnK2W

They seem to like sending lots of single transactions to a set of addresses with the same first character ... very unusual Smiley
Some of it landed in the pool address just now.

And up until the last transaction, a lot of transactions seem to be to exactly 61 addresses.  The last transaction was to 74 addresses. Maybe it's Satoshi, spreading the love.

Whoever from the Avast London office that was trying to hack into the web site - forget it you wont succeed - and I've now banned your IP subnet from all servers Smiley

Edit: though it looks like someone in Turkey using a mobile created the account you were using, so maybe Avast's security isn't very good if someone from Turkey can hack into their head office in London and use their desktop computers to try and hack into the kano.is web site Cheesy

Had an NL node disconnect in the last few minutes.
It reconnected straight away, so was a failover + failback for NL node miners.
Still having trouble on the NL node.
Hopefully everyone using NL also has a backup node - preferrably DE.
I see that the DE node has indeed jumped up by about the same as NL usually is - so that probably means everyone does.
And now NL is finally all OK again.
It dropped pretty much all connections except for my login connections for some inexplicable reason (miners and bitcoin)
All ok again.

Kano,

There are upcoming changes where Bitcoin will double its block size according to this article --> https://themerkle.com/bitcoin-price-rises-ethereum-price-diverges/

What does that mean for us miners? Will we have to flash our hardware? Or will there be changes elsewhere that do not affect us?
Segwit works with mining hardware.

Any claims you see about PoW changes, are made by lunatics who are high on drugs.
Ignore them.

You have not been on this board for long, I presume...I suggest you review any of the several hundred previous posts on that subject. Short answer, although I do not speak for anyone but myself...no.

The short answer is, we'll support whatever wins, since Bitcoin is peer2peer and whatever the majority decide is what we must also accept.

However, that is indeed now looking like it will be Segwit2x i.e. NYA 🐈

Until something wins, we abstain from the poor choices available.
