B2X isn't guaranteed to not exist. You might be right on that..... i just seen this tidbit that Mike Belshe CEO, BitGo, Inc is claiming they are going to go ahead and try to do it themselves and even sounds like they are even saying right in the first line that they are intending to do it to cause the btc diff level to drop. Which sounds like they would only do it long enough to drop difficulty leval then slam back in to btc to mine it. Seems sort of shady and dirty if there plan is to jump in and out with tons of hashrate. https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-segwit2x/2017-November/000689.html Well ... that's what Butmain did with BitchCoin

For any one who noticed, the NL node network dropped out and back again at 08:03 UTC Miners on the NL node will have failed over and back again pretty much straight away. However the network issues seem to be on going ... Edit: OK back to normal again.

Block by Cobramining with 13.34 BTC! Yeah it was only a 20 second network block so not a lot of transaction fees.

S9's are once again available.
They only will take BCash which is Trash. I am not playing the Bitmain Game and supporting BTRASH. After the new year, new technology will be released. I will wait for that. Bottom line is, LET THEM MINE EMPTY BLOCKS!!! WITH NO FEES!!!

I just went to spend my first bit coins and I was hit with a $40+ miner fee on a $50 purchase! Forgive me if I sound dumb, BUT what the heck is a minor fee? Whatever it is I would of hit the cancel button and just gone without what ever it was I was going to buy if there was an 80% fee tacked on to $50. Unless it was something my life depended on and lol even then im not so sure I could go threw with it. lol tho then again, i'm such a tightwad I'd rather walk over a mile to my bank to take money out of the atm with no fee rather than get ripped off paying $4 to get it from the atm across the street from my house. Unless there happened to be 2 feet of snow or something making it not worth the extra effort to save $4 The problem is I scanned a QR code and assumed I would get a choice as to miner fee level after confirming but I didn't unless I missed it (I am a neophyte, but I am experienced enough to look for it).

Kano, Expecting my S9's from Bitmain soon. Infrastructure is in place with 240V circuits run. PDU's, Cooling, Network Switch, RJ-45 cabling, Platinum 2400 Watt 220/240V PS, and 1G Up and 1G Down Fiber Internet in place. I want to make sure that the right Address for me to add my hash to the pool is correct. I am East Coast US. Primary: stratum+tcp://NYA.kano.is:3333 Secondary: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 3rd? Thanks in Advance. W

I know as soon as I seen Jihad wu's name on the bottom of that I know it could not be good. esp with that bit of Orwellian double speak. That sound like it was saying We need to burn the btc village to the ground to save it. From being taken over and dominated by anyone else other then Jihan.. its like he wants to be the mosonto of btc and all cryptos. He dont seem satisfied just haveing a peice of pie or even the biggest slice and whants the whole dam pie all to him self.

Guys, what are all of my options on the pool address? i'm trying to ping them all and see which will be the closest to me. So far I know of nya.kano.is and stratum.kano.is..are these the only 2? I'm located in Oklahoma. Thanks!

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. This video showcases the speed and reliability of the blockchain using the DEX, Masternodes (that will soon payout in BTC and ETH), blockchain games, and more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74d3ixX7E8&feature=youtu.be

Hardware question: It seems antminer s9's dominate the smaller farming market right now for hardware. But availability and cost seem inconsistent at best.
If i were to start pricing out a larger mining operation with a fairly serious budget and complete control over electrical build-out, what alternative mining hardware would be worth looking at?
I think i would focus on Bitcoin for now, so BTC specific hardware would be of interest.
I own a large brick building here with a decent basement space that stays nice and cool, and could obviously supplement with additional air movers. Also know plenty of folks with weed grow ops, which i see as fairly similar in terms of infrastructure requirements. (minus the legal battles)
I would welcome any PM from anyone who might have the time to answer some questions without clogging up the Kano forum here.
I'm asking here, because i would most likely stick with Kano and ride the chain here and i respect the opinions of the users here.
Thanks ! -Andy

The nodes are in the thread title, so DE, SG, JP, NL, and NYA. Kano.is is the main US server in Las Vegas I believe. Viva Las Vegas!!

I have ONE s9 that I had in my basement for about a week this summer. Typically around 65 degrees but after about 4 days running the one in about 7500 cubic feet of space (750 sq ft with 10 foot ceilings), temps were over 75 degrees. It was in my house so with it being so hot and noisy, I moved it out to the garage with a vent outside. Of course now I am heating the garage (Wisconsin). Anyway the point is that with a multi-miner farm, you will need to plan on air handling from the start in addition to commercial power needs.

Ping them and choose the one that's consistently fastest. From where you're at, it's an equal hop to either the main at stratum.kano.is or nya.kano.is.
