S9's are once again available.
After the new year, new technology will be released. I will wait for that.
Don't think so. S9 will be best buy for another year. And it isn't so difficult to transfer to the BCH currency they want.. It is better you have a S9 instead of another chinese farm. Decentralize it again by buying S9. And mine with it on Kano (or slush) or another non-chinese monopoly.
Yes think so The already 'revealed in the git code' A8 will be out some time ...
The one piece of Canaan equipment I have, an Avalon A741, seems to run quieter and cooler than my other equipment from the great underground empire. ( my days playing Zork are showing) Time will tell. I will definitely be interested in several Avalon A8s if and when.

Kano,
I've just started using your pool, but I didn't enter a BTC address straight away, as I was still figuring everything out. Because of this I've got quite a few rewards that haven't been paid to my address. Is it possible to get these or have the rewards I got before i entered my BTC address been lost?

I pointed both of my Avalon 741s at Kano pool and got set up on the website.
I did myusername.miner1 and .miner2. When i log in to the pool, it only shows miner1 as online, but it has the combined hashrate of both. Well, it did... now it is telling me I have 13.68/9.23 Th/s.
What am I doing wrong?

If you are using one controller, you are doing nothing wrong. Everything on that controller shows up as one worker. M

Primary: stratum+tcp://NYA.kano.is:3333 Secondary: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 3rd? Take some different pool as the 3rd failover where you can collect dust (with manual payouts) in case your miners switch to it for some short period of time when kano does restarts etc. I do not follow my own advice - playin' big at -ck solo pool as the 3rd failover))) You never know

When I complete the new accounting/payout code, I'll send out the 'collected dust'. The 'collected dust' includes payouts with no address to be sent to - in your case roughly the first 1/3 of your mining.

That's totally schweet, kano-san. We all have accumulated some, usually small, amount of dust over the time we've been here. You said you'd get around to the code changes needed to handle the dust and 'phantom' accounts accrued, and you are a man of your word. Huzzah! Mine on, LAMF!!

I don't believe in superstition because it's bad luck: 13thF1oor6CAwyzyxXPNnRvu3nhhYeqZdc These aren't the Droids you're looking for: S5 & S7 (Sold), R4B2, R4B4 (RIP), 2x S9 obsolete, 2xS15-28, S17-56, S17-70 Pushing a whopping 1/5 PH! Oh The SPEED!!!

Once it was dust, now it's not. In future, hope it could be fortune That's totally schweet, kano-san. We all have accumulated some, usually small, amount of dust over the time we've been here. With current hash rate, is it expected to find a block every 36 hours? It seems that less hash rate has better return rate for the past few months. I don't understand how it could be.

No 300%+ blocks lately for one.

nothing based on the assumption you have 1 rasp pi it sends all hash to the pool combined. you want different workers you need 2 rasp pi's Ahh! Nope. One worker is fine. Just worried it was a setting I messed up. Why is it saying 13xxx/9xxx for total hash rate?

No 300%+ blocks lately for one. CDF says to expect an average, over a large sample, of one in 20.1 blocks to be over 300% ... just like every other pool.

Why is it saying 13xxx/9xxx for total hash rate? the 13x is the 5 minute average, which moves around a lot. the 9x is the 1 hour average which takes a while to reach it's expected value ... since it's the average over the past hour or 3

Correct, but many of the blocks we've hit recently haven't been much over 100%...so if we get one of those, it'll be at least a week to crack it with our current hash rate. And that is what I was getting back with the one block every 36 hours comment. No problem here kano-san!
