Looking at the logs, there was only one time that the command included a hashed password (the last time) - so it would seem the password field was always blank (except the last time)

At the risk of sound really really stupid...what do I enter as the password for my BTC address?  Blank obviously doesn't work, and coinbase does not issue me a password for my BCT address.  Where do I get a password for a BTC address?  Thanks in advance for your reply...eager to try out KanoPool!

Do you mean in your miner configuration? Just use 'x' or '123' or similar.

First is to enable 2FA, the password for entering your BTC address in the password you used to set up your account on Kano. No worries, not long ago I was right where you are at.

My S7 and S7-LN earned me a total of $238.45 in the month of November on Antpool. Since this pool is only rocking about 1100 current users, should the next block we find have a huge reward? The last two blocks brought me a combined total of roughly $28, but I have only been mining Kano for about 10 days. Just trying to figure out how profitable this smaller pool can be. I think it's a great concept, less people creates a higher reward, but if you don't find a block you get nothing.

Say what you want about antpoo, at least you get paid every day, so who is the most profitable Huh                It's a no-brainer for me Grin

It’s a no brainer because your not using your brain. Do the math man. Studies have shown time and time again that retail shoppers would rather pay $20 with free shipping then $15 with two dollars of shipping. Just because something looks better doesn’t necessarily mean it is better. Daily payments might be nice but in the end you are sacrificing money. I don’t know your current financial situation but for me, if I needed daily payments, this is not something that I would be gambling with.

185 Hours and not getting paid might make sence to you, lack of income doesn't pay my bill's nor does loyalty to any one pool, my point was  having an income verses no income, I think the chicken got ran over crossing the road here, looks like you need a Calculator to re-do the math Roll Eyes

Probably not as bad as your need for a lesson in grammar.

Not the miner configuration.  On Kano.is -> Account tab -> Settings -> under BTC Address, there is a required password field.  Can't be left blank, can't use some random string like x or 123.  BTC Address I'm using my BTC wallet address.

Here's the link to the settings page after you login:

it's your account password.  Same one you used to log in to be able to look at that screen.

If you are changing your BTC address, you need to put in your Kano.is password in that field to change it.

Go for it! Let's see. It's been a little over 8 days since we got a block. The last two blocks we got I made oh $1451 at current market value. That is, oh $175 bucks a day. You go over to Antpoo and get your $10 bucks a day (hypothetical, I dunno your hash-rate Smiley) and be happy! No one really minds you moving but I think I will stay here kkthxbye!

How many miners and what type do u have?

So I am new, and I have been trying to figure out the shifts thing...  I search the shifts and I do not see my username on that list. But I have been mining since last sunday, been 1 week now.  So, after reading this, I am a bit worried that I will not be included in the next block?  I am listed however on the POOL STATS page.

You will be included in the next block and the block after that and so on. The length of time it takes to become fully paid via 5Nd varies depending on how often we are finding blocks. Since the overall Hash rate has lowered the 5 to 7 days is now around 2 weeks before you are fully paid. Your payments are not forgotten, however. You will get paid for the next block and some payment from the first block will be added to the second block payment. The payments are broken up into 20% or 1/5 pieces, (the 5 in the 5Nd). So your first 20% will be paid on the first block, and the second block you will get another 20% from the first block plus 20% from the second block, and so on until you are getting 100% for each block but that 100% is actually made up of pieces of 20% from previous blocks added together. The other side of the coin is that if you stop mining and a block is hit, you will get 80%,60%, 40% etc even after you stop mining. So the ramp down makes up for the ramp up in the beginning, overall.

I did understand that part.  I was worried that I see nothing in the SHIFT GRAPH, and I do not see my user name in the SHIFTS page.  Are these shifts and graph for PAST blocks that were found?  I recall when I fist signed up an account, I saw a red shading on the shifts graph, but now its just grey, with no data.  I try to enter my user name in one of the worker fields and click update, there is no data.  When I use some other username that is in the Shifts list, I also get no data in the graph.

I just realized that I am using MS edge which causes problems sometimes with web pages.  I will try another browser

***** DOH!!!!! **    It was MS Edge browser not allowing display of the graph.  But I do see my 14TH line now.. I hate Microsoft stuff!

Even Funnier.
Edge does work.   I noticed that the new browser had  "all" in the worker 1 field. So I tried that in MS edge, and  YAY! I see my Blue 14Th line..  Except I still cannot type in my worker name even with the .01 on the end..  its ok, I only have 1 for now.

Seriously, move your miners back over to antpoo and be done with it.  You are not smart enough to mine someplace where you'll get extra over time.  We'll miss you!

No worries, that is just a list showing the name of the shift and when it was completed. Go to the Shift Chart and look for a red line with a number next to it. That shows you mining into the 5ND. Have a good one, you are ramping up!! Mine On and LETS FIND A BLOCK!!

What does Inv Diff mean? Thanks to anyone who answers. Mine On.
The total difficulty of your Invalid Shares (vs Your Diff, which is the total difficulty of your valid shares)
Just for my own personal understanding, is it safe to say that Invalids can be caused by HW errors and shares submitted right after a Block is found and we go to work on the next block? Thanks.
The different reasons are actually listed on the Workers page if you click on the 'Show Details for Invalids:' check box.

They are:
Stale: you sent the share after the block changed
Dup: you sent the same share twice (this isn't really that uncommon)
Hi: the pool wanted Diff X shares, but you sent Diff Y shares (where Y is less than X)
Rej: there was something wrong with your data you sent to the pool. An example would be: you pointed an LTC miner at the pool Smiley

HW errors aren't part of any of that coz the miner doesn't send them to the pool.

Got it. Of my miners, only one has any issue with Invalids. Here is the data associated HI = 46,302/3. Every other miner has 0 across the board. Remedies, is there anything I can do improve performance? Thanks.
Well that number says you submitted 3 Hi shares since the last pool block was found ... so no big deal at all.
Check how many shares you submitted in total since the last block ("Shares") and you should see that '3' is insignificant.
