If he gets offered 100 BTC and still does not reveal it, then there are two options. Either there is no exploit, or he stands to gain a lot by the price falling.

BCX is a very sneaky character, so should not take what he says at face value.

The reality is that if there is no attack, we'll never know the truth of what happened since it's clear there's a ton of talks going on in the background.

It could also mean he is not sure if there is an exploit. BCX has a record of both successfully attacking coins and also of profiting from the FUD generated from failed attacks on coins.

Agreed. And if he does have an exploit there's no reason to believe he'll keep his word and wait 3 days. He may attack sooner. If an exploit is discovered, I wouldn't announce it publicly until after the fix has been implemented.

Again you assume your own (false IMO) interpretation, present it as fact, and then use it to attack. This tactic is fairly classic propaganda, and I'm calling you out on it.

It is not a marketing tactic to maintain threads that are topic-focused. If you look at the actual Monero threads (mining, support, speculation, etc.) you will say they are fairly low to moderate volume and very much kept on topic by either moderators or the fact that they haven't been flooded by trolls yet.

The troll threads are of course none of these.

The third category are threads, such as this one, created by people interested in Monero to discuss current events or similar topics about Monero, and then kept active by other people interested in Monero. You will never be able to stop that unless you stop people from being interested in Monero. Good luck with that.

At least you finally admitted not having your own forums is a form of advertising....

Not having our own forums is due to:

1. The software implementing it isn't done yet.

2. It not being a terribly high priority because the level of traffic doesn't warrant it.

3. We're perfectly on-topic and of-interest to the user base here. No one credible (meaning board forum operator or moderator, not propagandists like you) has asked us to leave.

Dont worry about Coinhoarder he is the type that likes to fire the first shot (usually by being passively aggressive) then when you call him out on it he claims you are trolling him or attacking him even if you stick to the facts.

He is a watered down version of Goat in my view and they are very much alike on this forum.

Just read this entire and interesting thread.

1. BCX even if not serious, needs to be taken seriously.  There is a very real chance XMR will be attacked.

2. Risto did a good job putting a team together.  That is the best hope.  Really good and top notch names on there.

3. TFM = Anonymint.  I am not sure how anybody who has been here long enough can doubt that.

4. Anonymint doesn't exactly come off well from his posts, but his ability to understand these things is probably unmatched.  He literally is probably the best person in the world to try to figure this kind of thing out.  G Maxwell would also top my list.  Even James, who by the way probably made more than a million dollars in the last two weeks with his own projects, has said in this thread that Anonymint is smarter.  (Although James is clearly better at bringing projects to market and getting people on board)  I think this goes back to Anonymint his deep deep need to also be right down the to finest detail that even if he made a project, it wouldn't ever be good enough for him to put his name on.  

5. The trolling really needs to stop.  It is very likely Anonymint will leave or BCX will go ahead and attack early.  If the XMR team isn't behind the trolls, they need to form a clean-up team that is constantly rebuking and apologizing for the trolls.   It would have been a lot easier for Risto to form an anti-troll team a month ago to prevent all this than to try to get some independent contractors to try to stop a death blow that may or may not happen.  Preventing a disaster is always a better move than cleaning one up.  Going forward regardless of the results of this BCX exploit, the trolling needs to be stopped.

Well this "troll" has read the analysis of the "block 202612" attack, and it strikes me as odd that the attackers who orchestrated said exploit remain anonymous, while having executed a very sophisticated and coordinated assault on the XMR blockchain.

On the other hand, we have this Bee See Ex entity who has been extremely "vocal" and pompous for the better part of three years as a member of these forums, somehow holds nearly legendary status as a "coin-killer," generally behaves as an adolescent (at best), while an extremely thin amount of documented evidence exists that he is anything more than a loquacious imbecile with plenty of bitcoins.

Am I the only one that sees the nearly polar opposites in the two entities?

Which of course is itself trolling. You state that Monero needs to do the impossible, and then when it doesn't happen, you will claim to have "warned" us and point to this as evidence of how evil we are. Well thank you but no thank you for your little set up attempt.

I'm not sure where you got your post count because you obviously have no clue at all about btct works. You would have an easier time clearing all the fish out of the ocean than stopping btct trolling. And I mean that literally. Mankind could likely overfish all the way to their extinction, but trolls on btct are more like cockroaches.
