Still in the phase of shaking out weak hands! It's not dropping, it's still 50% up from a couple of days ago! The real rise hasn't even started yet! Sell now and you may well miss out and be priced out of getting back in! Anytime now this will fly!

Crypto is a weird animal, it bites you when you think you got the upper hand. I sold some around 850 yesterday and rebought some, still have some spare as you never know for sure. We were at 200 satoshi a week or so ago, so no one can be sure it won't go down to consolidate before hopefully moving up again.

I just voted for GAIA on Cryptsy and i filled in Poloniex's coin request form too. If we want GAIA to be listed on any other exchange then we need to act as a community and make enough noise by voting and tweeting. The devs have delivered and will deliver more in the near future so lets at least take care of the exchanges for them.

As I have thought, we went down for a while longer. We have reached the new bottom, somebody dumped 500k at 429 sat, but there are no sheeps to follow obviously  Cheesy Weak hands are a rare breed among gaia holders now. I hope the manipulator is out of coins now and won't be trying again. Sell orders are thin, we should be back at 700 and beyond soon again.

initial distribution was ico, right?
If that was the case (i can only guess it from looking at bittrex tradehistory right now) please make visible in the ann because that's of interest later too. Thanks!

Initial distribution is fundamental data of a coin and you always want to have that in the ann later no matter what. If it was ico maybe not so honorable but still very much of interest to potential investors.

In this case i came here because someone from this community pointed this coin out to me.
I was close to buying some but then realised it was initially distributed with Ico and was below ico level all the time. I think there is a fair risk in this coin the dev could have bought a large part of his own ico and now slowly sells the free coins he "bought" from himself to you which would also explain why he is actually working on it and not leaving. Once he sold his coins he'll be gone in case my presumptions are correct. There won't be profits for most people in that case. Note: i can't prove it - but dev can't prove the opposite either.

Well, i decided to skip.
Good luck everyone. Hope i am wrong. That's the ico/ipo/ito/presale thing ... the selfbuys ... it ads additional HUGE risks. Only because ETH did it (and probably selfbought aswell tons and tons) doesn't make it right.
Look blocknet - blatant selfbuy. Even admitted to it.
If you're launching the coin with an ico you don't need to care about premine. Just buy the premine you want from yourself. The more the merrier because fake volume implies fake interest aswell. Selfbuying own ico is killing two birds with one stone. Most people can't see through it though.

You´re right. That´s the ico/ipo/ito/ presade/ crowdsale thing.
But with a little research I found that this dev supports the price with his buywalls . Even above initial ICO price.
It is also a good interest for investors. When dev buys his own currency. It means further development.

This is free market. I can´t see any reasonable reason why dev shoudn´t buy his own currency (even under ICO price).

dev buying own coin is good on the open market, sure. But you actually would have to put great trust in him he wasn't buying the own ico because that would have been free premine of any amount he would have wished. I think just because these ico risks alone most of the ico distributed coins will need to prove themselves for a very, very long time to even be considered a real coin to invest in by the people who actually are trying to protect what they already have (the good traders/investors).
Initially ico-distributed coins do have a considerably higher risk of going to zero in very short timeframes compared to other initial distribution methods. At least that's what i have been observing.

Don't let yourself be distracted too much.
I just came by to ask for the little piece of info. So thanks for quick answer Smiley  (not here to spread the fud)
Good luck everyone.

And please put the info about initial distribution on the ANN because some people would want to know. It saves you from constantly answering the same questions.
i see it's in the pre-ann link on the bottom. So it's ok. My own fault for not seeing it.

Hey let me say a couple of things about this project. We actually purchased coins on the open market 3 hours after trading started and a few times after that. We have said how we "the Devs" plan to make money with this project. After our framework for e-commerce is finished, there will be a few revenue options for us which will benefit the GAIA market. These include building full custom eCommerce platforms for small businesses, fees generated from sold apps and extensions on the appstore, and a number of other ways that will benefit us and the GAIA investors. GAIA did surpass the ICO price more than once, and it will at one point go much further. We have delivered on the roadmap, and will deliver more. Tomorrow there will be a meeting on IRC #gaiacoin  where we will offer a look into what's coming for the short and long term. You are invited to attend. I am glad you decided to skip investing in GAIA at this point, because we will need your investment on the next release, and if not, on the one after that.
