payb.tc

Do you offer any kind of insurance or guarantee as to the safety of our bitcoins? If BCST were to claps is all our money gone? I'm not scared away, I just think we should get these questions out on the table.  In all honesty this would be a safety for you because right now if pirate ran away with all our money, we'd all be coming after you as you have said nothing to transfer liability.
(should probably add to faq)

however I am assuming that is pirate does a forced withdrawal that he will return our coins.

As Epoch beat me to it, but perhaps the forced cashout should be clarified as well.

Yes, could you clarify that as well please pay.btc?

Thanks Smiley

sorry i didn't clarify that because i guess i misunderstood the question the first time.

yes of course i'll return your coins if MY account suffers a forced withdrawal... i thought tgmarks was talking about pirate doing forced withdrawal on other people's accounts which wouldn't make sense.

200 BTC sended please check !

to open an account
step 1: read the faq below
step 2: PM me with a withdrawal address
step 3: send 10 btc or more to the deposit address i give you

accounts default to automatic re-investing of interest, however lenders can update this at any time from the bitcoinmax.com login area.

thanks

http://bitcoinmax.com

passwords are set to deposit address for now.

F.A.Q. (make sure you have read this before PM'ing me!)

Q. What is the minimum deposit amount?
A. To open an account, you must send at least 10 BTC for your first deposit. After that, subsequent deposits can be any amount.

Q. Can I reuse the same deposit address for additional amounts?
A. Yes

Q. Do I have to message you whenever I make a deposit?
A. No, use the deposit address you were given to deposit as often and as much as you like.

Q. If I deposit funds 'any time' doesn't that mess up your calculations?
A. No, interest is calculated in half-hour blocks, so for example if you deposit 10 bitcoins for 33.5 hours, you'll get 10 * (33.5 / (24 * 7)) * 0.069

Q. Can you confirm my deposit?
A. No. I can however give you a link to http://blockchain.info. If it's in the blockchain then interest will be calculated on it, starting from the first half-hour after it gets included in a block.

Q. I deposited money, when will it show up in my account?
A. If it has at least one confirmation, it should show up when you log in to bitcoinmax.

Q. How do I withdraw?
A. That's still via PM at the moment.

Q. I'm a new investor and can't log in to bitcoinmax.com
A. It's likely that I haven't set up your account there yet. This is on the list of things to automate soon.

Q. How old is your BST account? Is it at risk of forced withdrawals?
A. It's one of the very first accounts. There would probably only be 1-3 people that could cause me to get forced out. If for any reason my account has a forced withdrawal, then I may need to also force some or all of my lenders to withdraw from bitcoinmax.

Q. Do you offer any kind of guarantee or insurance against a BST default?
A. No. If BST defaults, your coins are lost.

Q. What is your real name?
A. While my real name is known and fairly easy to find, I'd prefer not to have it posted and searchable on this forum.

In addition:

while you can withdraw principal at any time, interest is only calculated and paid once per week. so that means if you deposit on a wednesday and withdraw it on a friday, the interest for those 48 hours won't be credited to (or withdrawable from) your account until the folllowing monday, after 21:00.
See the FAQ.

200 BTC sended please check !

I wonder if people don't realize how easy it would be to find their TX based on timing and login to their bitcoin max account, or track how much they deposit over time.

I wonder if people don't realize how easy it would be to find their TX based on timing and login to their bitcoin max account, or track how much they deposit over time.

This has already been discussed.

Is anyone concerned, in terms of security, with the current website login of:

username: <forum name>
password: <deposit address>

Just thinking out loud, but taking an example, let's say we know someone sent 45 BTC on or before a specific date/time. We know who it was because they posted 'whoa, I just sent 45 BTC!' here in this forum (I notice there are several members who have posted their deposit amounts looking back at the post history).

The blockchain can be easily searched for all 45 BTC transactions prior to that date (for, say, the period 2 or 3 days prior). There may be several matching hits, but likely not a huge number.

We know the user's bitcoinmax.com name from the forum here. We could then try a login at bitcoinmax.com using that name and the various deposit addresses found from the blockchain matching 45 BTC. Eventually the login would be successful and the 'imposter' would have access to the account.

I may be missing something (and I hope I am), but I'm asking for someone to convince me that the <forum name>/<deposit address> system used by bitcoinmax.com is secure from a hack similar to what I've described above.

very good point.  I suggest at least the ability to change your usernames

accounts default to automatic re-investing of interest, however lenders can update this at any time from the bitcoinmax.com login area.

Quote
Q. How do I withdraw?
A. That's still via PM at the moment.

So if someone opts to not reinvest the interest, is there a way to have the interest automatically returned or would you have to request a withdraw of the interest every week via PM? Just not sure if the PM withdraw request refers to principal only or all withdraws.

Thanks!

If you opt out of re-investing, your weekly interest is automatically sent to your withdrawal address. No need to PM.
