Hi all,
My C1's pump broke, no worky...
is there any place in the US where to buy a replacement? i know syscooling carries it, but it seems to be sent from China...
anyone found a replacement that can be used? thanks
While you searching for replacements in USA,you could contact us to ask for RMA,please send emails to watercooling@ysun.net with pictures or short video.
My friend that ordered for both of us sent emails to you guys, but said he got no response when sending the email for the RMA. What can we do?

Send pictures of it to the email listed.  They might want video depending.   Keep in mind time differences with company in China. If I were you I would send the email and if you don't hear back post here and you will get an answer.  (Include when email was sent, pics, etc).

I hope it goes smoother for you.

I'm able to connect to the miner again but it's not hashing. Here are the screenshots:

What PSU are you using?

Thank you very much for responding.
An Aerocool Strike-X 1100W 90A at +12V; but the PSU cannot be causing any problems, it has to be a network thing because as I said the miner worked perfectly at my home (previous location) during more than 20h and everything was ok. Now I'm trying to make it work from an office at university, I do not need any login to access the internet, I just got a router and connected it to a RJ45 from the wall, internet works nicely, the miner does not.

Any ideas? Is it maybe a ports thing?

It could be internet related as part of the problem but it wouldn't usually display like that - you'd just get pools with no connection. It very much looks like a hardware issue with the main culprit being power [as you have no modules shown]. PSUs can die at the most random times as well.

The last thing you can try is updating the C1's firmware to the latest version, but I don't think that's your problem, and you'll need a second PSU to test.

It's rather amazing how poor quality those pumps are, I've been keeping my C1 cool with one of these little guys http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-CPU-Cooling-CAR-Brushless-Water-Oil-Pump-Waterproof-Submersible-AP-/121458053302?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c4776d0b6

$6, no problems at all.

Those are water fountain / fish tank pumps which do work, but have half the pushing power and height as the C1 rated pump. They also have no reservoir, unless you have that pump sitting inside a small bucket of coolant or something?

From the specs that one is rated around 1/2 of volume pushed.   I would guess it's partially based on ambient temperature.  If OP has very cold ambient it will cool the coolant when in the tube, not just in the radiator.

Personally I would not go this route but I know a few through this thread have.  You would use anything that holds water and is big enough to put it in as a reservoir.  Reservoir's are not really anything special.

You'd be amazed at how little flow you really need for most water cooling systems. Although Bitmain chose fairly small hose ports, the blocks are not crazy restrictive (and if they were, it would be a bad design) plus 2 meters of head is pretty good for a small pump. It takes a lot of energy to heat water significantly during the 3-4 seconds it spends in the C1 water blocks before it heads back to the radiator.

Here's a screenshot of the current temps of my C1 and it's not that cold in my basement, approximately 60F (15.5C)

Who run the C1 with hot ambient temperatur. If the temperature is hotter than 30C in the room. I want to know if the miner is still stable?

I was running 7 C1s in South Florida, had an A/C running but in a large room so didn't do much. The room was definitely getting up to almost 30C in the room with all miners running overclocked.

Miner temperature was over 40C... close to 47C sometimes and were all running great!

I had two of them in a room with no A/C, stock clock.. they were running around 42C and also running stable.

Thanks for your response DolphinHeart.

When I look at the web console we see Chain 1 to 4. If I look at a miner with the fan facing me where are chain 1 to 4?

On my unit it would be the right most unit, but there may not be any pattern to it.

I have 3 C1's sitting right next to one another, in the same room and all three have different temps. Ranging from 29-43. It all depends on the miner rig. I have 6 of them and I'm aware of which 2 run hotter than the others. Why they run hotter? Most likely a quality control issue with the thermal or some other thing. None are exactly the same.

Due to pump failure I have 2x C1 with one radiator and room temp is 40-45C, C1 temps are 58-63C. Working well.

Give it a hard reset (via PSU) before you send it back, and then let us know what voltage setting your on currently.

Been wanting to order another C1 for over a week but with the drop in BitCoin value, all the deposits from the pool seem to not help with getting enough for one.  Wondering if there are still any coupons for C1's out or are they all expired?

Mine have expired. I have been looking for a few coupons also. Would not mind getting a C1 if I could get the price down more to compensate for the low btc value.

I added 2 fans for the fun of it on opposite side of radiator.  It seems to make it a little cooler.   The fan's i used are cheap (free after rebate) i had laying around.   I'm sure you could do a lot better on fan quality and see even cooler results.

I did the hard reset thing, and no X's today yet I will be checking frequently. I have not modified any settings as far as clock or voltage goes. Its @ 250mhz voltage 0760  I dont overclock until the warranty expires Smiley bitmain warranty emailed me this morning guess they found that post. They said unless I got it from bitmaintech or bitmain store on ebay the warranty would have to be handled by the amazon seller I got it from ths guy www.amazon.com/shops/cryptocrane so i messaged him last night requesting a RMA have not heard back from him yet. Its the weekend. Hopefully will not see any more x's

One thing i did before hard reboot was fill in the top pool I had emptied the top 2 pools addresses and jumped to my third pool. When i switch pools i just remove the pool address and leave the username and pass for convienance. Not sure if that would cause a issue, i wouldnt think so but just in case, I filled in the top pool info.

So far so good like i said i will be keeping a very critical eye on it. But if I find any more X's And if the guy lets me return it I will be buying a S5 instead. He sells them for the same price Smiley

If those X's do come back what would be my next step short of a RMA? Thermal paste issue? I check underneath the miner and there is no puddles . Not a fan of opening the case up, yes I am that lazy haha.

What do you think thermal paste issue or potential leak?

Like i said so far 15hrs and no X's so hope it stays that way, hash rate has stabalized as well still wanders awider range than my S3+'s though. But it is averaging out correctly @ 1006.5 GHs avg. still technically not the 1008 Bitmain states is guranteed Smiley not sure what they mean by that? if its not 1008 they what take it back? Pretty sure guranteed probably means something different in china than it does here in the US.

At any rate since I got your attention what is the best fluid for the miner, I got primochill in it now as thats what amazon had for a good price. But is there any specific fluid better than the others for some special cooling property? Or are they all pretty much the same deionized low conductive fluid with anti-microbial and corrosion resistance? Care less about Dyes i dont have any black lights and not going to buy one just to light up some tubing Smiley I do got a flow meter coming with built in temp sensor and LED light, just so i can visuallly check things are pumping without having to focus in on the pump looking for movement.

Also if i do need to open it up
which board is board #2 if viewing from the front? second from left or second from right?
and any diagrams of the asic chips which ones are represented by those with the x's? ooooooox xooooooo

Like i said so far so good no x's yet just checked again
And what would be the science behind why a psu power down reset would make them disappear versus a reboot form the software panel? I tried that 3 times before doing the PSU reset and when i rebooted from the panel after 235-30 mins the X's kept coming back.

Does that indicate it was a software bug or something versus a hardware failure?

I seen that 6 fan mod as well, digging through my scrap parts now for more fans Smiley and my wife criticizes me for my piles of old computers hahaha

Wow just seen that link above that user "bitmain warranty" sent hehe I am so ordering one of those Smiley

Is that DHgate actually bitmain?

I Know thisis a bit off topic but since were discussing cooling mods anyone ever oil cool a antminer?
Can you oil cool a PSU?

I know the have been successfully oil cooling motherboards for years now. Just a curiosity

Still digging this cooling system haha http://youtu.be/K_gCnvsM-QY
