Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

This seems so suspicious, why do ALL bitcoin price related sites go down at the exact moment of a dump, you would expect them to slowly go down as more people became aware and went to check the prices.
because they are all hooked to mtgox and get overloaded by goxes data perhaps, personally Im going to move to another exchange, volatility is good but not if you cant see and trade it

20k BTC is dumped on the market in the last twenty minutes.
Weak hands delivering the btc to hungry buyers waiting about 100.

I picked up a bunch just now, had left an order never imagining it could go that low....

No.... look at the forum activity.,.. remember last days? Now all bull-sayers gone no real overall activity... people dead or what? This was a big operation with success... there is still no data coming through all sites... do you all really believe it will continue?

It´s going down hill now.  Wink euro already at double digits... I think we go back to single digits.

Can anyone reliably follow the price right now?

120 seems to be holding. This dump was even larger than the one yesterday, yet the bids are much stronger now.

I mean, I know a lot of us got in at $5, but lower then $120 we just shouldn't permit. I've been stuck on this machine for 2 days now, and I'm riding this one out no matter what.

120's gone.

Even with it below 120, the momentum of these people departing with their bitcoin from their shaking-terrified-weak-hands is slowing down.

Mt Gox killed Bitcoin with their greed. Developers cashed out and quit their projects. Now we must wait two years or more for another generation to rebuild Bitcoin from scratch.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Agree, MtGox are incompetent. Look at that lag, even now!

That's what it looks like to me as well. I know most people in this thread disagree, but I'm putting my BTC where my mouth is and I'm 100% out now.

Don't worry I'm still bullish in the long term and I'll slowly buy back in, but this current rally is dead and gone, assassinated by Mt. Gox.

Do calm down. The fundamentals and queue of new accounts all point upwards in the mid-term.

Pick up some cheap coins and just relax.
