What the fuck is that wall guy trying to do?

there are 3 possible reasons for putting up this wall

1. to buy cheaper coins or cover shorts cheaper  behind the downward pressure from the wall
2. to sell the coins at the wall price
3. to play and have fun as a big bitcoin trader with all the little other traders and fool around

>2. is rather unlikely as he could sell his coind better in small portions at a higher price
<1. and 3. are both more probable

what about 4. having some kind of bet that depends on exchange rate being <$21 to be won?

could also be it.. did you check on the betting sites?

There are quite a few outright bets on bitbet.us and betsofbitco.in regarding the mtgox rate. Also there's futures/options on icbit.se, mpex.co,...

I think the bids and asks around the equilibrium, or a few hundred coins at either side, is most relevant. Offers further away, small or large amounts, are not so relevant.

If I have money on MtGox, I can move it to wherever I see fit within minutes. That is why I think all the market depth + all the coins and dollars in the wallets there are very relevant. I would never lend my money to MtGox if I wouldn't have the plan to use it there within the next weeks.

Did the 0.01 bot switch direction today?

It seems so. Is it a bearish sign?

How do you follow the bot?  Just watch all the .01 trades?

When it happens on the little markets, it happens big. Easy rebuying then.

What happens if a huge wall gets put up again, except on the weekend?

Everyone will start guessing who put it there and why, then wait for it to disappear again. Our own millionaire and soon to be billionaire Mr. Loaded does not want to buy it, so what else is there to do?  Cheesy

I don't think all of the bitcoin world will just wait. Some people need to sell on weekends.

Looks like it could happen soon*. Can we already call this a resistance around 21.2$? Or am I too early?  Cheesy

Last time I mostly sold I failed really hard (Sold from 15$ - 15.4$, bought back ~17  Lips sealed ). Lets see how it goes. I am lurking at 20$, waiting for the dumpsters. Meanwhile I'm reading cypherdoc's and lucif's decent fight. Grin

People seem to be market buying in big amounts at about this time at night tues- thursday routinely. I'm guessing its after mtgox sends them a notification that their wire has arrived and they just want to get in as soon as possible.
