so it knows which asks and bid's are actually from accounts that have the funds to execute those orders?

place some bids, and see them appear on the chart 10.40 is a good spot to park a big bid

put 20,000 coins at 10.4 and it didn't show up

Your order will only be active/open if you have the money to buy it with.  When we say 'fake walls' we are talking about when people remove them right when they are about to be filled.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

i think after a few refreshes it said OPEN

I didn't lose a dime. I don't keep my coins on services for too long. I close my positions daily and withdraw. Go back in the next morning.
