Someone bought 5k BTC with one click. This is really something, even I'm amazed. It's Saturday, the most boring market day of the week by far, and we see this. Wow.
Might have been something to do with someone buying over 1m S.DICE shares in one hit after evoorhees said he'd take them off the market unless they were gone by tomorrow ev.

Very close. I sound like this, though. Excellent. Come to think of it it is not that unlikely that Marvin the Paranoid Androind ( here's another link) will have been modeled on Eeyore's. I'd forgotten how funny Marvin was. Thanks for the reminder

That's an encouraging thought, I'll give you that. It just seems to me that bitcoin is too tempting a market for biggish market participants not to thrash around, and I just worry that all that thrashing around will wear people out. But, maybe I've lost sight of bitcoin's appeal.
Spend too much time speculating, lose sight of the other aspects of bitcoin. People actually use the system. How much attention do you pay to the economy as a whole as opposed to just the currency speculation? Looking at this subforum, it seems a lot of people are looking at their charts too much, and not much else. Beard tend to discount the actual non-speculative uses in their reckoning, while bulls don't always consider the unknowns, like what will happen when we start to see real regulator interest in Bitcoin.

This is going to turn into another disaster.
for whom? For bitcoin, I'm afraid. I just think that odds are this is the result of a pump and dump effort, and we're still in the pump phase. I'm just mentally preparing for the whole project to get set back another couple years. Even the June 2011 bubble wasn't really a set back, the average BTC price for the 6 months after bubble is 7 times higher than the average price for the 6 months pre-bubble.

Speaking of the money inflow, I have done some random calculations, which could be full of mistakes, so feel free to correct me. Now that we are still seeing 50k upside volume routinely after we are above $20, which amounts to $1M at its minimum. Assuming this number is all that the bulls are gonna make in case of a crash, and our bullish friends want to keep a handsome profit, so only half of this much would be used to buy back bitcoins latter when the price gets very low, it could still translate to a 250,000 BTC upside volume at $2.
So the conclusion is it's highly unlikely that we will see the price dip to below $2 as it was in November 2011, in fact, I think all the bulls(not including Mr. Loaded) in this thread combined are capable of stopping the price hitting $2, not taking into account the influence of a major shorting platform like Bitcoinica, while making a sizable profit from the rally we had, what do you guys think? I think I am being quite conservative.

Bears are fighting with limited ammunition, bulls have factorys making more and more ammunition everyday assumption: fiat is free fact: fiat is not free is debt

Soo, is there a whale(s) buying constantly, or are these new adopters driving the price up?
I thought I'd wake up to $20 today.

Same. I woke up this morning completely baffled.
