Did another timelapse from a bit last night through today's morning and afternoon, EST.  Enjoy Wink

Out of curisoity, would it be possible to transform the last like 3 months of bitcoinity into one gigantic timelapse?

He'd have to record it all.  Could take historical data and animate it through the same thing I guess, but that would take some effort.

Isn't something like << < 1, 2, 3... 988, 989, 990 > >> the standard in any page numbering system built this millenium?

Watching the lag manipulation versus price in the time lapse is disturbing.

I'd like to but even doing that spurt of ~14 hours is about 65 GB of data.  If I had a dedicated empty 2TB HDD on a secondary machine, loaded with Bitcoinity and recording 24/7, I could probably manage 2 weeks' worth of data before the drive would approach capacity + rendering overhead.

Even sped up in Premiere at 10,000% (max), the resulting video would be so long anyway that I don't know who'd watch it.  One day would probably be timelapsed at ~12 minutes, let's say.  So yeah, if you wanted to watch an hour and a half of footage, that'd cover a week.

I'm doing this on my main system overnight (running with an Nvidia card so it's not mining).  Otherwise my miners are on small HDDs so no space.  If I had the extra resources I could try it but at this time, I don't, sorry.

Yeah the lag is pretty infuriating but at least it's not the 300+ seconds we've been accustomed to.

Onward to $200!

--------

I might do more of them at random given how active the market is but trying to find music that doesn't run afowl of Youtube's copyright claims is tricky.  Fun fact: using the "Love You Like A Bitcoin" parody song still triggers the third party copyright sensor even though it's a parody.  Lame.

I had to go back and take a look at that.  Watching that makes me so angry...  I really hope Mtgox figures out a way to better protect against it.

All we've accomplished in 12 hours is a total reset with consolidation on both sides.

I swear if we break $200 during the night I WILL NOT BE AMUSED. I missed breaking $100 while I was away for the weekend, I bet I'm gonna miss both  Angry

Nah, we're still up.  12 hours ago I saw us at about $175-$180.  Now we're at $185-$190.  Up a little and not run-away.  But yeah traders overnight are pretty crazy since China and other places wake up.  I wouldn't be surprised to see $200 tested overnight.

Yeah, would be a good time while America is going to bed, and Euro is sleeping

P.S. 192.5$!
