It is important to prioritize wider merchant acceptance putting your $ and BTC into my pocket in exchange for worthless shitcoins versus acceptance at our own store.

That about says it all right there.  If you came to me and said "I have this money I just made up and I want you to accept it in your store" and I asked, "Do you accept it in yours?" and you responded with anything other than "yes" I would send you packing.

While I agree that they are trading useless XPY for $/BTC, the interesting part of that statement is that GAW is not testing or implementing XPY pay solutions on their own website. How could they ever push real adoption or assist merchants with no background in XPY payment systems. I cannot think of single reason for any merchant (well except meganet) to accept this coin.

And yet GAW still lists themselves as accepting Paycoin on the World of Paycoin map.

If you don't trust the very creators of the coin you're invested in, you should not use it. Our proof is the fact that we have an entire company working to create a market for Paycoin. If we wanted to undermine it, there are much easier ways.
So either give paybase some time to get some things done, or consider if this is the right place for you. Getting everyone worked up about something there has not even been enough time to figure out helps no one.

I thought this is his interpretation of the fact that the organizers had his speech already changed to a Q&A. He's just trying to put a spin on it making it sound like it's his decision. On the other hand, you could be right, it would be very risky for him to show up in a real Q&A, given his recent performance in creative writing and in Youtube recordings.
